This cafe inside the hospital is one of Jian Kang Lu's favorite places. With many potted plants inside and a small bucket of white bacopa on the table, create a clean and fresh environment in this hospital. Not many cafe put white bucopa as their main flower decorative. With big and wide white windows, made the visitor forget that this is still inside a hospital.

The menu is simple western food, with excellent coffee. No wonder the coffee addict or the night shift hospital worker loved to order here. Especially their special blend, from the dark roast arabica beans. It has deep, full bodied flavor and notes of caramelized sugar. With that subtle note, the after taste of pure black coffee doesn't have any bitter lingering feeling.

In the corner of the cafe, the autumn sun gives the light gold speck at Jian Kang Lu's hair. His soft short black hair slightly shifted to the left, showing his smooth forehead and straight eyebrows. His slender finger holding the tablet which showed the CT scan result of their discussed patient today. He's pointing at the part of adrenal adenoma which confirms their diagnosis of Conn's syndrome..

"As you can see, it will be quite challenging to find this with CT scan only. If you want to make this as your selective case, you need to do the selective adrenal arteriography or dexamethasone supprresed iodocholesterol adrenal scan too. But in the clinical field, to diagnose you only need the elevated aldosterone level and hypokalemia along with the symptoms before you decide to do CT scan or other imaging. And never underestimate the friendly conversation with your radiology colleague to achieve a comprehensive CT result."

His residents record their conversation so they don't need to be busy writing notes. They can play the recording later while reviewing the patient chart again. This Saturday round was spent to discuss more about the patient in the ward. After all, Jian Kang Lu didn't give them much time last week.

Today, his kitten promised to treat him in the hotpot restaurant near T university. Jian Kang Lu asks for dinner time, since he still remembers the pale face of his residents when he abandons them for his lunch date. He doesn't have the heart to forsake them again.

Jian Kang Lu looked back to see Wang Mingyu's bright face blinking her round eyes behind those turtle frame glasses. She crossed her arms and looked like a teacher scolding their naughty students. She's his university friend, and doing the residency in the same hospital. But Wang Mingyu chose endocrinology as a subspecialty while Jian Kang Lu chose nephrologist.

"This Chang'e hasn't blessed me yet and you guys are already pestering me? I can imagine my Chang'e don't even bother to fly on her own. She'll definitely run away as soon as she can with a rocket back to the farthest Saturn moon, if i ask her to meet you guys now."

Wang Mingyu looked at her friend with a disbelief. And the residents laugh as if they don't believe in his words.

"Now you really intrigued my curiosity. What kind of Goddess that doesn't want to blessed our living Buddha."

Jian Kang Lu tried to give her the best solemn and sad face. "But it's true. This uncle is already so old and his dating skills are rusty all over. Especially when facing the moon Goddess. So this uncle needs to try harder and learn from the success experiment. Do you guys have dating advice for me?"

Wang Mingyu waved her hand over the residents and said with a mocking tone "Don't bother to get advice from these zombies. If they can manage to have a date, that's because their partner is blind or only wants to have a doctor as their lover. Just like I managed to hook my husband. Jian Kang Lu laughed because he knew how much her husband loved her. Wang Mingyu's husband is their senior, a calm and a bit nerd anaesthesiologist. They suit each other perfectly.

The waiter gave the bill to him, and Jian Kang Lu paid with his cards. He then signed the receipt and stood up. "I need to go now. Send my regards to my brother in law and my nephew."

Wang Mingyu nodded, but didn't forget to remind Jian Kang Lu. "Okay, please remember to ask your Chang'e to bless me!!!"

Jiang Kang Lu laughed and patted her shoulder. He waved goodbye to his residents and all of them stood up and sent him out.

Wang Mingyu looked at Jian Kang Lu's broad back, walking further from them. She is really curious about this Chang'e. The last time she met Jian Kang Lu's girlfriend was Fu Xiulan, it's more than eight years ago. After that, she never met any other girlfriend or heard about any woman in Jian Kang Lu's life. She once suspected Jian Kang Lu can't forget Fu Xiulan. Because she knows her handsome friend is really popular among ladies.

He's handsome, smart, successful, polite, gentle, and another bunch of superior quality that will make any woman feel lucky to be his lover. She also knows his friend used to have a few ex-girlfriends before Fu Xiulan. All of them have their own charm. But Jian Kang Lu never had any signs that he will end his bachelor life until today. Especially this last year. He is always busy at the hospital.

He still looks radiant as ever, no one can pinpoint anything different about him. But Wang Mingyu knows him for more than 10 years. She can see that Jian Kang Lu is not happy. He just lives his life like a robot. And she feels sorry about that, though she doesn't know how to help him.

Jian Kang Lu is a really smart doctor with high efficiency, so he always did his tasks faster than others. He may not be the smartest, but he knows a lot of things outside the medical field. He fluently writes and speaks in english, uses the computer very well, and has a systematic work style.

That's why Wang Mingyu never refuses if Jian Kang Lu offers to help her. And she tried her best to bring out her maximum quality. In residency, your life depends on your team mate. The faster they get the work done, the faster they can have rest and do other things.

Most of their colleagues are already married. Seeing Jian Kang Lu single for a long time, lots of them try to introduce Jian Kang Lu with blind date. They know Jian Kang Lu criteria, so they pick the smart and lovely lady to have the blind date. This excluding Wang Mingyu, because she herself knows how annoying it was when people keep asking why you haven't married yet and disturbing her private life.

After five times going for blind date, he bluntly rejected all of these ladies politely and asked his friends not to try asking him for blind date anymore. He said it was not working for him.

And today, this is the first time in this many years she accidentally heard Jian Kang Lu have a date. She really hopes this will work well for her friend. She prays that Jian Kang Lu will find the happiness that he deserved.
