Secret Place

Since it would only be conspicuous if all four of them went to the secret place together, they dispersed and gathered in the waiting room at the side of the stage in the gymnasium.

From there, Shiki will lead Karin and the others to the back of the stage, behind a curtain called the Horizon Curtain, and along the wall towards the center of the stage.

Looking at the double swinging door with an electronic lock and password, they commented,

“Oh my!”

“Well, it’s typical of this school, I guess.”

“True.”

Touka exclaimed happily while Karin and Chiaki sighed in disbelief, but no one was surprised by the existence of the doors.

And that’s natural. St. Lukimantz Academy was a school with many strange aspects, even without considering the delinquent students.

Perhaps reflecting the spirit of the school’s founder, Howard Lukimantz, who believed in [Welcoming all who come.], it was strange enough that rumors were circulating that students could be accepted even if they did not take the entrance examination as long as they applied.

This is the reason why many delinquents are attracted to the school, though there are quite a few students like Shiki who take the entrance examination as a last resort and end up having a bad experience after enrolling in the school.

Even in the facilities, there were peculiar things that could only be described as crazy things.

For example, the bronze statue of Howard Lukimantz, erected just outside the main entrance of the school building, is equipped with a useless function that it starts to glow colorfully like a gaming PC at night.

The statue has often been the victim of graffiti in the name of art; every time it happened, the graffiti would be completely wiped clean by the next morning. Even when some delinquents foolishly broke its neck as a prank, it was completely restored the next morning. It was a rare item with some sort of a legend that no one would touch it anymore because of its eerie nature.

In addition, there were devices installed in the outdoor pool that somehow generated water currents, and the window glass throughout the school building boasted such strength that even when delinquents kicked it with all their might, it wouldn’t budge.

 Digress,

Shiki, who knew the PIN number of the electronic lock, pressed the number panel and confirmed the unlocking sound before slowly pushing open the door.

Once everyone is inside, he closes the door, confirms the sound of the lock, and walks down the gentle slope that lay ahead.

After a minute’s walk, we found a double-opening door similar to the one at the entrance.

These doors didn’t have an electronic lock, and a plate that read [Spare Equipment Room] was attached to the upper part of the door frame.

When Shiki opens the door, Karin and the others all exclaim in admiration and understanding in unison.

“Oh…! “

“Heeh, so that’s what a spare equipment room means.”

“Ara~, this is nice~”

What lay beyond the door was a so-called underground sports equipment storage room where equipment for club activities, or rather, a place for hanging out, such as vaulting boxes, gym mats, basketballs, and volleyballs, was stored.

The square-shaped room was 15 meters on each side. Even with the equipment placed inside, there was enough space for about four people to relax comfortably.

“You see, this school has a lot of delinquents, so if we store things in the outdoor sports equipment storage, they often get dirty or broken.”

 Karin sighs at Shiki’s explanation.

“Yeah, the outdoor sports equipment storage is a perfect hangout spot for them. It’s only natural that we had to create a separate storage room to keep it a secret from those delinquents.”

“The items stored in this storage are for those delinquents, though.”

Chiaki added, pointing to a corner of the room with her chin.

There were spare tatami mats for the judo club’s dojo, spare sandbags for the boxing club, and other equipment for club activities that were highly sought after by the delinquents for their amusement.

“I wonder how Shi-kun knows about these rooms that the delinquents shouldn’t know about?”

“Well… during my first year, in order to eat lunch without being noticed by Kawato-kun and the others, I ate in the teacher’s restroom… and…umm, I got caught by a teacher who sympathized with me…”

“So he told you about this storage room, huh~.”

“On the condition that I clean this room…”

“Ah~, so there’s a condition~… well, that sounds a bit difficult.”

Shiki tilts her head at Touka, who looks disappointed for some reason.

“What do you mean it sounds difficult?”

“… I had a dream.”

“A dream? “

“Yeah, a dream. I’m putting my hand on the vaulting box, and then I get pounded from behind――anhhh”

With a snap sound, Touka collapsed.

Beside her, Chiaki, who somehow had a baton in her hand, and Karin, who had snatched Touka’s lunch from her hand, were standing.

“I told you. She’s a s*x demon.”

“Touka. I’ll put your lunch box here.”

Shiki could only laugh awkwardly at the exchange that seemed to be the norm.

After that, Karin, Chiaki, and Touka, who had stood up as if nothing had happened, sat on top of the gym mats stacked at just the right height.

Shiki, who had no courage to join them, sat on the first step of the vaulting box, which he placed on the floor as a makeshift chair.
