Duan Chengyu ended the call to his helper to dial the number of his driver.

"Good morning, Chairman Duan. Would you like the car to be brought closer to the front entrance?"

The voice from the other end of the line sounded solicitous as he asked for the movement of his boss.

"Mr. Lan, get the car ready! I'm going to the office right now. Director Duan is at the office waiting for me! I don't have time to eat breakfast because Miss. Liu just woke up."

"I'll get the car ready, would you like me to get you something on the way?"

The look on Duan Chengyu's face was really tense, not just because he had to skip sharing a meal with his helper whom he secretly loved, but having to buŧŧ heads with his mother on an empty stomach made him even more irritable.

"That wouldn't be neccessary, I don't know how long she has been waiting. She could cause a scene if she doesn't see me soon!"

The thought of his mother calling other directors to ask for his whereabouts and marching to his home made the Chairman of Cinopec Group cringe.

"Alright, Sir! The car would be on standby."

The call came to an end. As though there was a fire lit under him, Duan Chengyu rushed through the motion of getting dressed to see his mother who was indeed impatiently waiting for him to arrive.
