Chapter 23 - ADVENTURE

The best part about Lily mastering pill refinement was that she could stay at Pill Island and be the pill master full time and this would allow Zero to focus on his cultivation.

With the help of the Nirvana flame pill Lily would soon be able to refine level 2 spirit pills and higher that would lower the work load on Zero.

With Lily working hard to refine more pills and improve her Pill refining skill they were getting over closer to having the money to buy the Nirvana flame pill and Zero was also planning to go back to closed door training to refine a level 2 spirit pill.

It took ten days to get all the herbs that Zero need to enter closed door training and Zero did not waste time and started as soon as he got all the herbs he needed.

Two month passed by and in front of the study Lily was standing there looking at the door.

She was starting to get worried about Zero not coming out for a two month and she had been standing in front of the door everyday hoping that Zero would come out at any moment but it never happened.

Just when Lily was about to give up and go back to her daily duties the door to the study open and Zero walked out with a big smile on his face.

...

Outside the Kingdom gate there was a young man walking slowly headed east. The young man was wearing full body armor and there was a sword at his back and a big smile on his face. The young man was Zero finally going out again.

His closed door training was a huge success and Zero was now officially a level 2 pill master, the reason Zero spent so much time in closed door training this time was because Zero wanted to use all the herbs he had to make pills.

Since he was going out Zero wanted to make sure that he refined enough pills to buy the Nirvana flame pill and after two months Zero finally refine enough pills to afford to buy the Nirvana flame pill.

After finishing his closed door training Zero took two days to rest and in the morning of the third day Zero was on his way to an adventure.

Zero did not choose a destination for this trip because what Zero was looking for now was a miracle and there was no map that pointed to a miracle.

Smelling the fresh morning air and he could not help but feel spirited, Zero spent most of his first life in one place reading about all the places that one could go but never going the himself so being able go wherever he liked made him unusually happy.

He could get a horse but with how much danger out there Zero knew that he would lose his horse soon so what he need was a ride that had an able to survive the wide and that was a spirit beast slave.

People can force spirit beast to sign slave contracts and use them as their mounts and Zero did not even have a slave contract on him so getting a slave beast was out of the question for now.

Zero spent the next ten days checking out all the places that could have herbs in them and sometime Zero would get lucky and find an herb there but they were all low level herbs.

Today Zero was looking at a level three herbs and the level 3 spirit beast that was protecting it, Zero had kill a lot of spirit beast along the way but this was the first time that he came in contact with a level 3 spirit beast and Zero was excited to see what the beast had to offer.

The herb was Ink poison root and it was very poisonous herbs that should be treated with care and the spirit beast that was guarding was a Silver cobra.

By eating the leaves of the herbs the Silver cobra can make its poison even more deadly and that was why it always guarded this herb.

Zero grab his sword and pulled it from his back and looked at the Silver cobra waiting for it to make a move while thinking the whole time that he was stupid for not bring any poison curing pills with him.

When Zero was refining pill many of them were to counter poison and Zero left all of them behind for some reason Zero forgot that they are a lot of poisonous spirit beast out there.

Now that Zero was facing one of most poisonous spirit beast he was regretting his stupidity.

Zero had to kill the Silver cobra before it could even poison him and the best way to do that was for Zero to kill the Silver cobra in his first strike.

The first strike would be the one to decide this fight and Zero and the Silver cobra knew it.

The Silver cobra had taken a defensive stance protecting the Ink poison and it was waiting for Zero to come close to pick the herb.

A level 3 Silver cobra had the same cultivation as a Body cleansing stage peak and thanks to its Silver skin was tough to cut through given it more protection.

Looking at the perfect defensive stance taken by the Silver cobra Zero got even more cautious and activated his Sharingan and took one step after another walking closer to the Silver cobra.

The Silver cobra defense was perfect that Zero could not see a flaw to exploit even with his Sharingan.

Zero stopped when he was 5 meters away from the Silver cobra and looked deep into its eyes and Zero could see that the was some intelligence behind those eyes.

Zero and the Silver cobra looked at each other and each waiting for the other to move and they both knew that the first one to make a move would most likely die.

The Silver snake was currently within Zero striking range and Zero was within the Silver cobra striking range.

Hours passed and still the was no movement from both Zero and the silver cobra but Zero was starting to see that the Silver cobra would never lose its patience. Snake were well known for their patience especially when they were hunting. Zero needed to kill the Silver snake and he needed to kill it now. After a few hours of standing completely still Zero was tired and his body was starting to go numb. Zero had to strike and he most strike now before got completely numb.

Zero knew that now was the time to see what his Sharingan can do and without holding back took one step and SLASHHHHHHHHHHH.
