Zero felt that his luck was getting better for them to take up fighting position meant that they think that they could beat whatever was chasing Zero and this was more than what Zero expected to happen when he headed for them.

For some reason Zero never looked back to try to see what was chasing him, he felt that if he knew what it was it would fill his heart with fear making him unable to think straight. But now all that was gone Zero could finally tell that the beast as going to kill him. A strong and beastly killing intent was fixated on him and Zero could feel that if he did not do anything at this moment they would no longer be a Zero in this world.

Zero turned around to look at what was behind him but he did not just turn around he also activated his Sharingan and the sight filled him with fear from the bottom of his heart. The beast was not that big which explain how light its footsteps were and it was all white and in should be some kind of dog.

Zero did not have time to take a good look at what kind of spirit beast it was the thing that attracted all his attention was its big open mouth with sharp white teeth. From the teeth Zero could tell that it was some kind of sabertooth.
