Back in the main house, Qia Zi had finally stopped crying and was currently sobbing silently, clinging on to General Qia.

To ease the atmosphere, General Qia invited Ming Yao to stay overnight as it had turned dark and it was dangerous to travel at such a timing, Ming Yao although unhappy, accepted.

As Ming Yao was escorted to the guest quarters, General Qia led his family into the study, anxious to discuss what to do next.
