The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet

Adam Clive was too stunned to respond. 

She then told him, "In order to make ourselves safe, I'll ensure Emma serves the drink to Jayne. This is just a measure to ensure that irrespective of whether our plan works or not, Emma will be blamed and not me. So, as always, Emma Dalton is my scapegoat…"

But, Adam Clive was so lost, that he didn't hear anything of that. So, naturally he didn't respond. Katherine Bradford on the other hand, didn't even wait for him to respond.

She walked away from Adam Clive towards another bar counter in the private room. She herself poured three glasses of orange juice. She added the aphrodisiac drug into one of the glasses and mentally noted down the glass. 

Then, she announced to Adam's insidious friends gang who were already drugged and making out with each other, "Guys, may I have your attention for a minute? Tonight, I'll treat you to one of your best, most memorable nights. Just wait for me…" She smiled mysteriously making the entire gang shriek a 'yay!'

She handed over a bill of notes to a waiter. She then instructed him, "Wait for my orders with this drink. I'll send over a girl to get this from you. You have to make sure, you hand over this drink along with some starters to her."

"Understood madam!" The waiter bowed dutifully, his eyes glowing greedily with the unexpected huge sum of money in his hand.

"Oh yeah, she'll ask for a non-alcohol based drink. So just tell her it's orange juice and not alcohol. Make sure you leave the premises immediately, once the job is done." Katherine Bradford instructed him further.

After that, she walked out towards the couch where Jayne and Emma Dalton were having a conversation. 

After chatting with them for a while, Katherine Bradford's eyes darkened. It was time to execute her plan. She coaxed Emma Dalton, "Emma, could you please go get drinks and starters for all of us."

"Of course Kate! I'll be right back." Emma Dalton stood up to leave.

"Hey Emma wait, Jayne Roy doesn't drink. So, just get her some non-alcohol based drink." Katherine Bradford faked like she was concerned. 

Emma Dalton looked at her with bewilderment. "Sure Kate!" She walked towards the bar counter. 

Katherine Bradford folded her hands in her ŀȧp and stifled her laughter. But, she sneered inwardly. "She's too surprised to see my change over!" She explained to Jayne.

Jayne just smiled with her. 

The waiter in charge took his position. On seeing Emma Dalton, he greeted her, "Good evening ma'am! What would you like to have?"

"Give me three glasses of any non-alcohol drinks." Emma Dalton specified her order. 

"Ma'am, the only non-alcohol drinks we have right now is orange juice. Will that do?" The winter asked. 

"Sure!" She waited for him to prepare their drinks while tapping her fingers on the bar counter.

"Oh yeah, get some starters as well." She called out to the waiter. 

"Right away ma'am!" The waiter came over with the drink first and handed it to Emma Dalton. 

"Ma'am I'll get the starters." He offered to carry the starters for her.

Emma Dalton then walked over to their couch with the drink. 

Katherine Bradford carefully eyed the glass with the drug in it. She picked the glass first and handed it to Jayne. 

Emma Dalton took the other glass and handed it to Katherine Bradford and finally kept the last glass to herself. The waiter then handed over their starters. Katherine Bradford then instructed him, "You can leave now."

The waiter walked away.

Katherine Bradford proposed a toast, "I know Ella is missing. We'll have another party after she comes back. For now, I'd like to seek forgiveness for everything that happened between Jayne Roy and me… Let's bury the hatchet… To our friendship…."

Jayne and Emma Dalton too raised their glasses and then began sipping on the drink…
