The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet

"Mom left Jayne." Ronnie pulled up the comforter for Jayne.

"Argh Ronnie! All your fault! How will I even go in front of mom again!" Jayne began yelling at Ronnie.

The corner of Ronnie's eyes crinkled. He laughed slightly and lovingly pinched her cheeks. "It's okay baby. Go shower soon. Ms. Shirley Symonds will be here anytime."

"Shirley will be coming? Yay!" She was delighted.

"Yes love. Come on up soon now." He wrapped his hands around Jayne's waist and said, "Shall we save time by showering together?" Ronnie winked at Jayne.

"Hey!" She threw a pillow at him and bolted towards the bathroom.

Ronnie chuckled and looked in the direction of the bathroom with warm, loving eyes. "Madly in love with you Maya!"

Jayne heard his words… "Madly in love with you Maya?" She froze in her tracks.

Ronnie smacked his head, " Biggest blunder! Self-suicide!" He walked towards her.

Jayne turned back and said, "Maya? Who's Maya Ronnie? Why did you just say that you are madly in love with Maya?"

Little did she know that she herself was Maya.

Ronnie tried to calm her. "I'm sorry Jayne. I was working on a case of a girl by the name Maya. So it was just a slip of my tongue. I didn't mean it. I'm sorry baby!"  he tried coaxing her.

"Ronnie do you love Maya more than me? Was she an ex-girlfriend of yours? What's going on? Clearly Jayne was left confused. She was almost on the verge of crying.

"Jayne, you are thinking too much! It's nothing! Her story was heart-wrenching. I got too attached with it. Hence, I blurted out her name. I'll tell you everything later. Let's stop this here baby. Now please go get ready. Shirley is already waiting downstairs."  He pushed her into the bathroom and facepalmed himself.

Jayne, "..."

"Who on earth is Maya? How could Ronnie even utter her name? 'Madly in love with you Maya,' 'Madly in love with you Maya,' kept ringing in her ears. Today is supposed to be your wedding Jayne."

"I've already made up my mind on Ronnie. I will never doubt him or his love for me. A girl who doesn't even know her name! Can life get any worse than that?" Unable to think anymore, she stood under the shower and let the water ease her.

"This is like opening a Pandora's box. I'm sure Jayne won't let this go easily." Ronnie walked downstairs.

He already found Shirley talking to Mrs Caroline Roy. "Hello Ms. Shirley! You know I can't thank you enough for this. I'm sorry you'd to get everything ready within a short period of time."

"Mr Roy! What's with this sorry and thank you? It's always my pŀėȧsurė working for you. The rapport between Madam Roy and me has always been great." She was beaming with respect for Mrs Caroline Roy.

Caroline Roy smiled back at her and acknowledged her love.

She continued, "As for Madam Jayne, she's my current muse. She fits in every style of mine. She's every designer's dream. She's way beyond perfection. I can't wait to work my magic on her." Shirley Symonds' eyes were twinkling like stars with excitement.

'Same here! I too can't wait to work my magic on her and make her life the best!' Ronnie thought inwardly.

By then Jayne came out. "Hello Shirley!"

"Hello gorgeous! We meet again!" Shirley went forward to greet Jayne.

"Well then, I'll leave you guys here." Ronnie was about to head upstairs when Shirley called him.

"Sir, my team is already here to help you. They're waiting for you in your study." Shirley said.

"Sure!" Ronnie headed upstairs.
