The Unsurpassed Maiden

"What the hell—" Mi Young wasn't even able to react when someone suddenly attacked her on the back of her neck. She felt a strong jab behind her which made her fall on her knees because of the pain.

When she looks up she sees Su Yeon smiling apologetically at her as she lets two other soldiers handcuffed Mi Young. "You bitch—"

"Where's the other guy?" Su Yeon suddenly announces while she looks frantically at their surroundings. However, Hae Choon was nowhere to be found. Then she throws an angry look at Mi Young who was kneeling on the floor like Kwang Soo. She grabs the girl's hair and demands in a raging voice, "Where is your friend?!"

Mi Young smirks at her. "How would I know? He's probably on his way out to get some reinforcements."

This made Su Yeon shout angrily. She raises her hands and slaps Mi Young on her right cheek causing the skin to redden because of the impact. Mi Young sneers at Su Yeon as she felt the stinging pain when the purple haired girl's hands made contact with her cheek.

"I swear to god the moment I get this handcuffs off of me I'll kill you." Mi Young says through gritted teeth. Su Yeon laughed at the black haired girl's demise.

"Really? Let's see how you can escape that." Su Yeon says with a mocking tone.

Mi Young calls on her mana power and sparks of fire start coming out from her body upon doing so. However, nothing happened after that. Mi Young grows confused. It felt like her Pyro element was there but it wouldn't come out of her body.

Su Yeon laughed while looking at Mi Young who was trying to call her mana power again. But just like what happened earlier, nothing came out from her. "Are you confused? Those handcuffs were made to suppress its prisoner's mana power."

"You bitch!" Mi Young shouts while eyeing the other girl with pure hatred.

"Say whatever you want, you won't be getting out of these headquarters ever again." Su eon says while leaning towards Mi Young. With a smile she says. "You will be locked up here, just like the old me."

The black haired girl curses the other enemy before she spits at her. "You disgust me! I can't believe we fell for your stupid act! You want freedom? I'll f*cking gives you freedom once I get my hands on you."

"Ohhh I'm scared." Su Yeon says in a sarcastic voice while trying to act like she was scared of the black haired girl who had her hands cuffed behind her. "Do you think I would entrust my freedom to a bunch of losers like you? Dream on."

Mi Young didn't answer this time as she eyes Su Yeon with pure hatred. The only thing running in her mind right now was in what way would she kill the other girl once she gets her handcuffs off of her.

She hears Su Yeont Tell the soldiers who were both handling her and Kwang Soo to bring them to the cells. The two soldiers nodded their heads at her before they drag the black haired girl inside the elevator making her kneel beside Kwang Soo, who was somehow unconscious.

Mi Young wondered what they did to him before he was in this kind of state.

Then, the young student remembered Hae Choon who was suddenly out of sight. She hopes her assumption was right.

"Wait." Su Yeon says before one of the soldiers can even press the button of the elevator.

Mi Young sees the purple haired girl smirking at her. Then without wasting any breath, Su Yeon kicks the black haired girl right on her face. When Mi Young's head hit the floor, Su Yeon didn't stop as she stepped on the girl's face.

"I won't let outsiders like you steal the Mana Shell!" Su Yeon says with a wild look on her face. "Do you really think you can easily infiltrate this headquarters just like that? Are you mocking us? Stupid ignorant outsiders! This is why we need to teach every Mage in the entire kingdom that technology can save us so idiots like you won't have to die like this!"

The purple haired girl was about to send another kick towards Mi Young when one of the soldiers stopped her. "Please Young Mistress, the First Master told us to bring her to him alive."

Su Yeon let out a disappointed sound before she brushes past the soldier who had stopped her. She was about to walk away but not before sending Mi Young another glare.

The black haired girl can feel the huge and strong ache growing around her head and around her body. She tried to remain awake but her head was buzzing.

She roamed her eyes around her and the last thing she saw was Kwang Soo looking at her with pained eyes before Mi Young let her consciousness slip away.

Mi Young felt like she was floating.

It wasn't the feeling like she was floating in the air. No, she felt like she was floating around some sort of liquid.

She can also feel the coldness seeping through her veins.

The black haired girl can't hear anything at all except for the constant sound of dripping ringing around her ears.

She wanted to open her eyes so badly but she doesn't have any strength to do so. Mi Young wonders if she can at least talk.

"Hello?" Mi Young starts to say, surprised with how her voice sounded not like her own. "Is anyone there? Kwang Soo? Hae Choon?"

As expected, there was no answer at all. So Mi Young tried to open her eyes once again, desperate to see her surroundings or just anything that can keep her from going insane. She was scared shitless knowing she's in the enemy's territory. Who knows what they would do to her and her body after knowing that they perform several crazy experiments inside these headquarters.

When she finally had the strength to open her eyes, Mi Young was shocked to see her surroundings.

This isn't what she was expecting to see. She thought she would be inside a cell together with her senior. But everything was dark and there was..

"Is this water?" Mi Young whispers to herself as she touches the water flooding the entire floor. There was so much water everywhere. Actually, the only thing she can see is water.

The black haired girl notices she was still dressed in her bloodied clothes except that her mother's cloak was missing. But Mi Young didn't think much of it anymore since she was still so confused about everything around her.

"Where the hell am I?" The young student asks again. But no one answered her.

She tries to look for something that can indicate where she was but the only thing she saw was water and a light coming from something like another room at the far end corner of the room where she was.

Mi Young decided she would go there to check where she really was. However, when she was about to step towards the room where the light was, she heard the constant dripping once more. And then she realized it was coming from behind her.

The student sees another room on the other end of the room where the water was. Although it wasn't as much visible as the room with the light, Mi Young can still see the shadow of a door, which means there is something beyond that door.

The student looks back and forth between the dark room and the room with the light and contemplates for a second where she should go.

If she goes to the room with the light, she would know where she was. And if she goes to the room where the dripping sound was coming from, she might discover what lies beyond that door.

The young girl thinks for a few seconds before she decides where she will finally go.

"I hope this is the right place." The black haired student says while she walks towards the room where the dripping sound was coming from.

It wasn't long before she finally reached the door. Mi Young held the door knob on her hands and took a deep sigh at first before opening the door.

When she opened the huge and squeaky door, she was greeted by a warm light shining so bright she needed to close her eyes at first to adjust to the sudden light.

Upon opening her eyes, Mi Young sees nothing but white. She decides to step forward to further inspect the room and jumps in surprise when the door behind her closes all of a sudden.

The young girl shrugs as she roams around the room.

That's when she sees something shining on the floor and at the farthest corner of the room. Mi Young walked forward to investigate what it was.

"It's my book!" Mi Young shouts in glee and in confusion upon seeing the purple book she got earlier from one of the merchants on the streets. "I remember placing this on my bed, why is it here?"

Mi Young continued to wonder what the purple book was doing there until it started glowing. "What the hell…"

Because of too much surprise, Mi Young throws the book on the floor. However, it remained glowing. Then it started to shake which made My Young back away, afraid that the book might explode.

When the book stops moving, the light suddenly vanishes as well.

"The f*ck?" Mi Young whispers as she crouches down to check the book.

The item suddenly opens without the black haired girl touching it. She sees something written on the page where the book stopped.

"Is it showing me something?" Mi Young asks herself.. She decided to touch the book and the moment her hands touched the book's page, everything around her turned.
