The Upgrade System

James told Dan where to go in order to get to the marketplace.

He also told Dan about money, "An average worker gets about 1 silver per month which is equal to 100 copper. 100 silver make up 1 gold but only rich families or high-rank cultivators use gold."

Before leaving James told Dan, "The village chief thinks highly of you, your share should've only been 25 copper but he added 25 copper more to yours, so make sure to cultivate properly."

Dan went to the marketplace and there were a lot of stalls selling different things.

As Dan walked around, a lot of people looked at him because of his clothes so he started to walk faster to get to the clothing store and change.

He found some clothes he liked and bought using 2 coppers.

He also needed to buy food because he didn't want to be eating bread the entire time he was in this world.

He went to a restaurant because he hadn't eaten today and because he had only eaten bread and some food from the chief's house so he wanted to see what type of food there was in this world.

As he entered the restaurant, he saw that it was clean, and there were a decent number of people there. He sat in one of the tables and he asked for some meat and for a person from a modern world, it tasted bland with very little spices, Dan couldn't eat it.

He paid for the meal and was about to leave but he saw Jacob calling out to him.

"Dan, did you hear about the auction?"

"Auction?"

"Yeah, this time the auction is for cultivators, apparently there is going to be a lot of good stuff but with my current amount of money, I won't be able to afford anything."

"Do you know when it is?"

"It's next week at the auction hall."

"Ok, thank you, I will go and see what's in there."

'If there's a very good item, I can try to buy it but I need more money so I guess, I need to go hunting for the next week to earn money.
