The Upgrade System

"Wait a second, you didn't have your current strength a couple of days ago meaning that you managed to get so strong in such a short amount of time. How did you do it?"

"Umm... I trained."

"So you managed to train to the point of being able to kill professional bodyguards in a matter of seconds within a couple of days. Do you think I am dumb enough to believe that?"

"Let's not talk about this."

Dan continued, "You know the media prints you out to be a very cold person but you don't really seem like it with you talking to me like this."

"I don't know why I talk to you so much either."

Dan and Sofia went back home.

Dan had nothing to do so he decided to go back to cultivating but as he was about to start a call came through.

Looking at the number, it was the number of one of his friends back in high school.

Dan answered the call.

From the other side of the phone, a man said, "Hey Dan, still remember me?"

"Of course Liam. How have you been?"

"I have been good. How about you?"

"Same. Why did you call?"

"There is going to be a gathering from our class in high school. Do you want to come?"

"High school. That was so long ago, I would barely remember most of our classmates."

"Come on man, I heard that Lily is going to come as well. Didn't you like her before?"

'Ya, I did. I even went out with her but we broke up.'

"I will think about it, can you tell me when and where the gathering will be?"

"Ok be sure to think about it, I will send you the location. The gathering will be in a week from now. I will talk to you there."

"Ok."

'A week from now, I could meet Lily again but what's the point, she already broke up with me.'

With that thought, Dan decided to go back to cultivating and try not to think of Lily again.

The next day, Dan got ready to go to the meeting.. He didn't care much about it since it wouldn't affect him much but he still made some more healing pills just in case.
