The Upgrade System

Liam interrupted, "Well, I believe you."

"Why?"

"You are an honest person. I don't think you would lie about your salary."

"That was when we were still in high school. Who knows if I might have changed."

"Well, I still believe you."

Some people started to change the subject and in a few minutes, everyone was no longer talking about their salaries.

Time quickly passed and it was about to be night time and everyone was drinking a lot.

Dan didn't much at all but he was still about to pass out because he usually didn't drink and so he didn't have a good tolerance towards drinks.

'Hey, system. Can you get rid of those drinks so I don't pass out.'

[No, You will have to be level 11 for that]

'Why? I shouldn't have drunk so much.'

As Dan was thinking of how not to pass out, Lily was looking at Dan worriedly because she knew that he didn't have a very good tolerance toward drinks.

She went near Dan and asked him, "Are you ok?"

Dan looked at Lily showing some sadness, he replied, "I am fine, you don't need to worry about me."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. I know myself well enough."

'No, I am not fine. I am about to pass out here. Why are you even worrying about me after breaking up with me so abruptly.'

As Lily was about to say something, Dan's phone rang.

Dan answered the call and on the other side was Sofia.

"Hey, are you done with your class reunion?"

"We should be done in a couple of minutes. Why?"

"No reason. You sound drunk, do you need me to send someone to pick you up?"

As Dan was about to answer, Lily interrupted, "I can send you back home."

Sofia sounding a bit angry asked, "Who is that?"

"A former classmate."

"Ok, Just tell me your location. I am almost done with my work. I will pick you up."

"I can take him back with me."

"Don't worry, I live close to him.. I will take him back home. Can you tell me the address now Dan?"
