The Upgrade System

"You received the notification about the monsters right?"

"Yes."

"Then what are you waiting for? Let's go hunting and get some exp."

"I am waiting for it to be morning."

"Oh, yeah. I was a little too excited. I need to level up."

"Why do you want to level up so badly?"

"I feel like the world is changing and I also want to be ahead of other cultivators that the system has added so that they can't hurt me."

After Sofia left, dan asked the system, 'What can the new herbs do?'

[It is helpful for making new pills and some of them can improve the effects of your current pills]

[if you see a herb that can improve your current pills then you will automatically know about it but for the other herbs, you will have to figure out what pills you can make with it]

'Ok, that's actually helpful.'

The next morning when Sofia and Dan were eating breakfast, Dan asked, "Have you ever killed an animal before."

"No."

"What! If you haven't even killed a regular animal before, how do you expect to kill a mutated one?"

"You can teach me."

'Ok, now that I think about it, before the first time I killed a mutated animal, I hadn't killed a regular one either but at that time, I was hunting with other cultivators.'

"I haven't killed an animal before but I know how to use a gun."

"Where did you learn that?"

"One of my uncles is from the military. He taught me how to use one."

"Do you have one with you?"

"I only have a handgun with me. It's in my room. Let me go get it."

After Sofia came back with 2 handguns she asked, "Do you need one?"

"I don't know how to use a gun."

"Then what are you going to use?"

"My hands."

"I know that you are strong but can you really kill those mutated animals with your hands?"

"Let me ask you a question. How many HP do you have?"

"10 HP but I also have the bracelet that gives me a +4 defense."

"Guess how many strength I have."

"15 or 20?"
