Chapter 103 - "Do You Really Have Feelings for Her?" (2)

The two of them hadn’t hung out in a while so Zhou HengYuan stayed for the night. When Jiang MingYuan got up to go to work the next morning, Zhou HengYuan even grinning cheekily at him and told him another news.

A picture of him and Chu Xun from the banquet last night had been posted onto the web.

The commoners were always curious about gossips within the prestigious families, not to mention that Jiang MingYuan was young, rich, and particularly handsome. As soon as the picture of him and Chu Xun was posted onto the internet, it was distributed at record speed.

It was a snap shot from a good angle. It was taken right when Chu Xun lost her footing and was about to stumble.

At the time, Jiang MingYuan took a step back and reached out his arms. The two of them were standing quite close to each other and, in the snapshot, it looked like Jiang MingYuan was about to hug her. The picture was very suggestive.

Before Zhou HengYuan had even finished telling the story, Chu Xun called to apologize and said she had no idea how that happened. Jiang MingYuan didn’t ask how she was able to get his personal number. He had Qi Shan take care of the problem at hand after he hung up on the phone.

Qi Shan was very efficient. Two hours after the scandal with Chu Xun was leaked and before it could get worse, they had all been taken care of.

That was not the end of it. The Chu’s started out with daily essential products and now had switched over to real estate. In the month that followed, the Chu’s real estate company ran into quite some issues – locations that they had their eyes set on were outbid or incidents in constructions or with quality of their work that they had kept in the down low were exposed. It had raised a lot of concerns and, with their, a drop in their stock value.

Those who were targeting the Chu’s made no effort in covering up their tracks. Father Chu was able to find out who was behind it when he looked into it. He couldn’t go up against Jiang MingYuan so he took it out on the “culprit”. He summoned Chu Xun and yelled at her.

Then he went over to apologize to Jiang MingYuan after he finished yelling at her.

Cheng Huan had no idea about any of these. She didn’t care about gossips nor did Jiang MingYuan share any of them. He continued to call XingXing up daily and took him out on the weekends.

Cheng Huan was very unhappy with Jiang MingYuan’s behavior at the beginning. She felt bitter every time that she heard his voice but, over time, and perhaps she started to get used to it, she had mellowed up. And, looking at how XingXing was becoming more and more outgoing as each day pass, she started to feel that it might not be a bad thing for him to have this father after all.

November 13 was the day that Cheng Huan’s shop was done with its remodeling. Cheng Huan was then busied with taking care of all sorts of licenses. By the time she had received her operation license, it was already December.

The winter this year was particularly bitter. It was only December and the weather was already around 0 degrees.

After Cheng Huan had gotten up, made breakfast, she went to wake XingXing up.

The temperature was low in the winter time and it was difficult for the little kiddo to get up in the morning. The more his mother called out to him the more he retracted under the blanket, almost covering his entire head inside of it.

Cheng Huan called him a couple of times and, seeing that XingXing pretended that he didn’t hear her, she reached her hand under the blanket and put it onto his neck.

She always ran cold and her hand was already icy cold by now. The little kiddo shivered when she touched him and quickly opened up his eyes and called her “Mom.”

“Are you awake now? Mommy’s shop is grand opening today. Does XingXing want to go see it?” asked Cheng Huan with a smile.
