Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 107 -  “XingXing’s daddy likes XingXing a lot too. He will take XingXing to play game, buy him toys, teach him how to play Rubik’s cube, and draw for XingXing.” (3)

“What are you talking about?” Jiang MingYuan anxiously grabbed XingXing’s hand and asked before Zhou HengYuan could even say anything. “Who told you that?”

“Crab’s mom.” Crab was the little kiddo who accused XingXing of lying.

Jiang MingYuan cared a lot about his kid and he memorized all 20 or so children’s names in XingXing’s class. He seemed to relax a little after he heard that answer and oddly let out a sigh of relief. “He’s lying. XingXing has a daddy.”

“But I have never seen my daddy,” said XingXing dubiously.

He has seen other’s daddies. They’d take them to fun places, buy them toys, buy them yummy food. They can even ride on their daddies’ shoulders. Well, and sometimes be beaten by their daddies.

XingXing had never experienced any of those. He pouted as he looked at Uncle Jiang and said, “Crab’s mommy said there is no such thing as superman and that my daddy doesn’t want me anymore.”

“If he doesn’t want me; I don’t want him either!” said the little kiddo angrily.

“He didn’t not want you.” Jiang MingYuan didn’t know how to describe what he was feeling right now. Even the food in front of him had became tasteless. He reached out his hand and stroked the little kiddo on his head. “Your daddy likes you a lot too.”

“But I have never seen him.”

“Yes, you have,” said Jiang MingYuan. Under XingXing’s dubious look, he picked him up and walked over to where the cash register was.

Cheng Huan was manning the cash register and, seeing Jiang MingYuan walking toward her, looked at him inquisitively.

“You got a minute?”

“Yes, sure. Give me a minute.” There was someone else manning the cash register. Cheng Huan was just helping out because she had free time. She set down what she was doing, gave the employee next to her a heads-up, and walked over to the man. “What’s the matter.”

It was her grand opening day and Cheng Huan took it very seriously.

She had on light makeup, her hair was tied up behind her head, she even had a suit made specifically for this purpose. The custom-made suit fully accentuated her full chest and her slender waist. Her skirt was knee’s length, showing off her round and straight legs.

Even though Jiang MingYuan has other things on his mind, he was still stunned by her. Cheng Huan looked different today than she normally did. She was pretty in a very competent way.

He recollected himself and said, “It has to do with XingXing and I.”

And that was all Cheng Huan needed to hear to know what he was trying to get at. Jiang MingYuan was probably ready to reveal his identity now. The one month’s time was enough time for Cheng Huan to prepare herself mentally so she wasn’t too upset when she heard that. She nodded and said, “This is not a right place. Let’s go over to my place.”

It wasn’t the first time that Jiang MingYuan went over to Cheng Huan. He was familiar with where she lived. He didn’t take the chauffeur but drove his son and his son’s mother by himself.

After arriving at their little district, Jiang MingYuan parked and the three of them walked inside of the elevator.

XingXing had no idea why they stopped abruptly half way through lunch and then Jiang MingYuan had picked him up and his feet still hasn’t touched the ground since then. Once they have gotten home, he was placed on the couch. Cheng Huan sat on one side of him and Jiang MingYuan the other.

“XingXing, there’s something that Mommy needs to tell you,” Cheng Huan started.

Jiang MingYuan had already given her an idea of what had happened and Cheng Huan recalled that XingXing had been acting a little strange the last few days. She was mad at herself. She felt that she had been neglectful to her child and also bothered by people who’d say stuff like that to children.

His mother’s look was very solemn. XingXing took a look at her and sat up properly on the ouch. Look at her, he, too, put on a serious look and said, “Okay, go ahead, Mommy.”

Even though she had played it through many times in her head before, Cheng Huan still didn’t know how to start. She took a look at Jiang MingYuan, took a deep breath and said to XingXing, “When Mommy told you that your daddy has flown away. I lied.”

“I know.” XingXing was already prepared for that. He only nodded. “Daddy didn’t want me.”

As he said that, he wanted to crawl inside of Cheng Huan’s arms to look for comfort.

Sitting on his other side Jiang MingYuan’s heart ached. He took a look at Cheng Huan and Cheng Huan felt a bit embarrassed. She cleared her throat and said to the kiddo. “Daddy didn’t not want you. He just hasn’t found XingXing yet in the past.”

Jiang MingYuan tightened his hand and listened to Cheng Huan carried on, “XingXing’s daddy likes XingXing too. HE will take XingXing to play games, buy his toys, teach XingXing how to play the Rubik’s cube, and even draw for XingXing.”
