Title: The Villainess Female Supporting Character Raising Her Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 169 - "Madam, I just saw the boss and he was with a woman and a child..." (3)

Qi Shan, as Jiang MingYuan’s loyal right-hand man, knew the truth all along. As for Li KangYi, after tailing Cheng Huan for a week, he finally found out where the child went to school. He planned to find out more that night so his mind was not on his work.

Kindergarten let out early and it’d be too late after he got off work so Li KangYi had no choice but to take time off. He didn’t have a lot of work to do so Qi Shan approved his request quickly. He was, however, a bit hesitant, “You have been taking a lot of time off lately.”

“Yeah, I have something going on at home.” Li KangYi was very vague about it and immediately took off after he clocked out.

He drove all the way to the kindergarten and the kindergarten was not out yet. It was very quiet outside but there were many cars parked outside. Li KangYi drove around for a while but still couldn’t find a parking spot.

Having no other choice, he had to park his car a bit of distance away and walked back over to wait for the kindergarten to let out.

His timing was very good. It wasn’t long before the cheerful music sounded inside of the kindergarten.

Li KangYi quickly became lively. His back straightened and he stared at the entrance of the kindergarten intensely. He wanted to memorize who the teacher of the child was and also thinking about how he could get close to her to get some information from her.

While he was waiting, the front door to the kindergarten opened up and a bunch of parents with their children walked out. Li KangYi was surprised. What an unfortunate coincidence to have run into the parent-child day!

He figured he wouldn’t be able to spot the teacher today. That was another waste of a day. All the obstacles that Li KangYi had run into recently had made him more patience. He wasn’t too overly disappointed right now.

That being said, he still wasn’t too happy about it. Thinking about the pay that he had lost today, Li KangYi sighed. He stepped on his cigarette butt, extinguished it, and was about to head back.

As school was letting out, the cars in front of the kindergarten began to move. He had just turned around when he spotted a car that looked somewhat familiar. Li KangYi paused and looked up all of a sudden. He stared at the license plate and finally recognized that as his boss’s car.

What did his boss’s car being in front of the kindergarten signified?!

Li KangYi slapped himself on his thigh and almost let out a scream. His face flushed and he couldn’t wait to pull his phone out and took a picture of the car.

He hadn’t expected to be able to find out something on the first day! He was very emotional. He recalled his coworkers saying that the boss had taken a day off for personal matters. Combining that with the parent-child day at the kindergarten, he had a very bold speculation.

No way…

He was startled by his own thought. His boss made so much money a day; why would he attend the parent-child day for his child that was born out of the wedlock? Even his brother, just your everyday white collar, had never attended his niece’s parent-teacher conference.

Li KangYi thought of many reasons to shoot down his own thought. Nevertheless, no matter how much he refused to believe it, the truth had unfolded in front of his very eyes – his boss had just walked out with a child in his arm and a woman next to him, seemingly pretty intimate.

As shock as he was, he did not forget about his opportunity for great wealth. Hiding behind the crowd, he aimed his phone in that direction. As his hand was shaking, it was difficult to focus. He almost broke out in sweat from anxiousness.

On the other side, Jiang MingYuan was talking to Cheng Huan.

“Thank you so much for today.”

“No thanks needed. Don’t say that.” Jiang MingYuan looked over at her. There was still a smile in his eyes. Walking in front of the car, his chauffeur came out and opened up the car door. Jiang MingYuan bent down and was just about to shove XingXing inside when he suddenly, as though sensing something, looked over at a specific direction fiercely.

“What’s the matter?” asked Cheng Huan, nervous.

“Oh, nothing.” Jiang MingYuan shook his head when he failed to spot anyone. Placing XingXing inside of the child’s seat and having Cheng Huan sat in the back with him, he walked over to the passenger side.

The car door shut and the car started to leave. Li KangYi, who was hiding behind the others, let out a big sigh of relief. He looked at the very clear photo in his phone and couldn't help but laughed out loud.

His breathing heavy and his face and neck red, he dialed the number that he has had memorized such a long time ago and said into the phone after it was connected, “Madam, I think I just saw the boss. He was with a woman and a child… yes, yes. I took pictures. I can send them to you if you like.”

While Li KangYi was backstabbing them, Jiang MingYuan brought up a suggestion that had been on his mind for a while. “How would you like to move to a different location?”
