Title: The Villainess Female Supporting Character Raising Her Bun

Chapter 178 - "Mommy, I want to go on television." (3)

Gu MingLi was silenced immediately. Her face beet red and she stared at her son in disbelief. She never expected something like that to come from him. “How did I end up with a white-eyed wolf like you?”

Clutching her chest, her breathing hastened. It took her a while to calm back down. “Since you have asked, then listen well. I am with your father because we families are a good match. As such, don’t even think about some random tramp that came from nowhere. That is not something befitting of you.”

“Ah, so you and Jiang XuDong are a good match too, then,” said Jiang MingYuan with a meaningful look. His look cold.

The name Jiang XuDong brought panic to Gu MingLi. She immediately tried to recollect herself and pretended nothing had happened. “What nonsense are you talking about. That’s your Third Uncle!”

“You know whether it is nonsense or not.” Jiang MingYuan got up. He no longer wished to continue with the subject. “If you want things to go well for Jiang XuDong, you stay away from my wife and child.”

Having said that, he left disregarding the look on Gu MingLi.

“What do you mean by wife and child? I will never agree to you marrying that woman!”

All the servants knew to hide as far away as possible. With his mother’s hysterical shout behind him, Jiang MingYuan started his car expressionlessly and drove away.

He wasn’t in a good mood and sped for the first time ever. Leaving exhaust behind, the car sped down the windy, mountainous road. Not driving very often and with mediocre driving skill, Jiang MingYuan almost flew off at one of the turns.

The brake was compressed to the very bottom. With an ear-piercing noise, his body went forward from inertia and finally pulled back by the safety belt.

Jiang MingYuan rested his head on the steering wheel and took a few deep breaths. Recovering from the close call earlier, Jiang MingYuan wiped his face, restarted his car, and drove down the mountain at turtle speed.

Ever since she found out that Old Mrs. Jiang has been investigating XingXing, Cheng Huan lived in the fear of someone knocking on her door every day.

She waited and she waited and nobody ever came.

“Did they forget about us?” Sitting across from XingXing with her legs crossed, she pinched his little cheeks and said to herself.

XingXing leaned backward to save his own cheeks from his mother’s claws. With a baffled look, he asked, “What you are talking about, Mommy?”

“No, nothing.” Cheng Huan came to and said, “Let’s keep on playing.”

The mother and son were playing games on the couch. Local news was being broadcasted on the television and it was talking about the top ten entrepreneur of the year and introducing them one by one.

Playing with his Nine Links, XingXing heard a name, whipped his head around and, with his eyes widened, said, “It’s Daddy!”

Seeing his own father on television made the little kid very excited. XingXing climbed down from the couch and ran over to the television. Sticking his head over, he said, “How did Daddy go inside of the television?”

“Daddy is on television because Daddy is very mighty,” said Cheng Huan as she walked over and pulled him back. “Don’t stand so close to the television. It’s bad for your eyes.”

XingXing was pulled back by Cheng Huan but his eyes were still glued onto the television. He only turned and sighed after they have finished talking about Jiang MingYuan and went onto a different person.

“Mom.” The little kid looked up. “I want to be on television too.”

Cheng Huan wooed him. “Work hard. You just might be able to one day.”

“No, wait. I was on television!” XingXing thought about it for a little bit and said loudly. “Our teacher said we are going to be on television!”

Perhaps it was his special ability after all, as soon as XingXing had finished saying that, the news started talking about his kindergarten.

XingXing immediately recognized the school that he had been studying at for the past semester and went back over to the television again. This time, however, the news wasn’t anything good. It was about their fire safety equipment being subpar and that they would need to close down to fix the issue. The responsible people at the school were also being held accountable.

He didn’t understand what was said in the news and only looked for anyone that he might know on the television. The little kid was still very excited by the time the news was over. “Mommy, I wasn’t in there at all.”
