The bed was wider than the door and they must have to take it apart in order to move it in and out. That couldn’t be good for antique items like this.

Besides, as much as there would be pressure sleeping on this bed, Cheng Huan must admit that this bed was truly a beauty! So pretty that she couldn’t even look away!

Touching the wood carvings with her fingers, she turned and said to the man standing behind her, “It’s alright. This is quite nice.”

Jiang MingYuan seemed happy when he heard that.

He had been staying here since he was a child and grew up with everything here. He was pleasantly surprised that Cheng Huan liked these as well. It felt liked the two of them had gotten closer some more.

After they were done touring the rooms, they went back downstairs for their luggage so they could start unpacking. As soon as they went downstairs, they could hear someone calling out to them from the outside.

“Let me go take a look.”

“Yeah, you go. The suitcases are not that heavy.”

Cheng Huan brought her suitcase upstairs and found two others sitting inside of the house when she came back downstairs after she had finished unpacking.

They looked to be a middle-aged couple in their forties. They turned to look at Cheng Huan when they heard someone coming downstairs. The woman smiled at Jiang MingYuan and asked, “This must be sister-in-law.”

Jiang MingYuan smiled and nodded. He walked up, held Cheng Huan’s hand, and introduced her. “This is Forth Brother and his wife.”

The Jiang was a big family and had a lot of relatives. Jiang MingYuan gave Cheng Huan a quick rundown on their way here and these two were also mentioned.

Fourth Brother and his wife were the eldest child of Big Grandpa’s second son. He, too, was in the business of foreign trade but its scale was not too big.

They arrived earlier than expected and came over to invite them over for dinner. Great Grandpa heard that they were back and wanted to see him.

“What do you think?” Jiang MingYuan had Cheng Huan sat down and whispered into her ear. “I can turn them down if you don’t want to go.”

“We can go.” Cheng Huan nodded without too much hesitation. They were already here and she would be meeting the elderlies sooner or later. There was no reason dragging it out.

Jiang MingYuan felt relieved now that she had agreed. He had the two waited for them when he went upstairs to get XingXing.

XingXing had rolled around so much on the large bed in the spare bedroom that his hair was already a mess. He didn’t even want to walk properly even when he was going downstairs with his daddy and insisted on bouncing up and down on the stairs.

Jiang MingYuan held on to XingXing’s hand tightly, worried that he might have a misstep and fall. Walking downstairs anxiously, the man brought his son over to his cousin and his wife and had XingXing greet them.

XingXing was not a timid one. He greeted the couple as told and even threw in a sweet smile toward the end.

They had heard that Jiang MingYuan had returned with a woman and a child before they came over so they figured they were his wife and child. They just hadn’t expected his son to be so old already.

They looked back and forth between Jiang MingYuan and Cheng Huan and pulled out their gift for XingXing from their pocket.

Jiang MingYuan’s cousin with beer belly rubbed his somewhat bald head and chuckled at Jiang MingYuan. “We were all worried you can’t find yourself a woman but, boy, even your son is so old already.”

Holding XingXing in his hand, Jiang MingYuan smiled and look at the woman next to him and said to his cousin, “Yes, I surprised even myself.”

“Oh right, you haven’t had your wedding yet, right? When is that going to be?” Now that Jiang MingYuan had already brought them to his hometown, that’s the testimony that she was going to be the one. Jiang Mingzhou wasn’t too worried when he said that. He even patted Jiang MingYuan on his shoulder when he was done talked. “Getting married is a big deal. We must have a big wedding.”

“For sure.”

“So, do you have a date yet?”

“No, not yet.” Jiang MingYuan reached out and held Cheng Huan’s hand. “We are still in the process of deciding.”
