“No, not really. I got my money back.”

“Really?” Cheng Huan didn’t really buy it. At this moment in time, Jiang MingYuan was like a little cabbage in her mind.

Not only did he get his money back, the man did flare very well either.

Cheng Huan felt better after she had heard that. The two chatting softly the entire way and started preparing dinner when they have arrived home.

Mother Jiang inquired about her son’s wellbeing and expressed her care for him. Jiang MingYuan didn’t react too much to all those. When she talked, he’d listen. He would neither respond nor retort.

The mother and son had almost nothing in common to talk about and five minutes was the maximum time a conversation would last. Gu MingLi made her big announcement right before the end of the call.

“MingYuan, what do you think about me switching to the citizenship of a different country.”

Jiang MingYuan lifted one corner of his lips and, with a sarcastic look, asked, “What prompted that?”

The person on the other end of the call could not see his look and she went on to justify her decision, “I will be here for a while to work on my health and having to renew my VISA is such a hassle. I might as well just have it done once and for all. Besides, transportation is so convenient right now that one’s citizenship really isn’t a big deal. I can still come and go as I please.”

Jiang MingYuan, though looking cold, his voice was tender, “Okay, you do what’s best for you.”

His tone was very misleading to Gu MingLi and made her think that she was doing a good job at concealing the truth. After the call, she walked over to the full-length mirror, helped the man with his tie, kissed him, and said, “Let’s get married after I have switched my citizenship.”

He was already a middle-aged man and his body was not in as much of a good shape as it was before. He still had the tenderness that she was drawn to. She was so smitten that she failed to detect the hint of impatient in the man next to her.

The man pulled her hand down and gave her a perfunctory kiss. He expressed that there was no rush in that. “We need to be careful even though we are no longer in China. It would be bad if you son ever finds out.”

“He won’t find out. MingYuan was so smitten by that fox demon that he didn’t care about me anymore.” She pouted like a little girl. “You are all I have now.”

Jiang XuDong found that repulsive but he did not let that show. This woman was still of use to him.

On the middle-aged man was greasy affection. His eyes brightened all of a sudden, “I heard that the woman was a very ignorant one?”

“She’s just a working girl.” As much as her son had opposed to him, she had looked into the fox demon anyway. “She is only with MingYuan for his money.”

“For his money, huh?” Jiang XuDong sighed as he stroked her hair. His look could not be read.
