Chapter 262 - He needs to stop speculating and go talk to the person in question. (2)

Their mansion in the suburban had been vacant since Gu MingLi had moved out. Jiang MingYuan had no intention to move in there and the servants there, worried about losing their jobs, reached out to Jiang MingYuan.

Jiang MingYuan didn’t like having random people in his house so he didn’t keep any of them. He did, however, remember that there was a chef who could make tasty food among them and he had him made this meal.

He briefly explained the situation to Cheng Huan and said to her, “He can take care of the meals going forward and free you up.”

Cheng Huan didn’t care for that idea much. “My life is not that busy. Besides, cooking is like studying. You use it or you lose it.”

Jiang MingYuan did not insist on it. “Then you can cook when you want and have the chef takes over when you are not in the mood for it.”

He placed another soup dumpling into Cheng Huan’s plate and talked sweet talk in an indifferent tone. “I much prefer your cooking anyway.”

Cheng Huan had no idea what to say to that so she chose to ignore it. She turned and looked at the kitchen and didn’t see anyone inside of it. “Where’s the chef that you talked about?”

“He’s downstairs.”

Cheng Huan, “… …”

Okay, buying another unit for this man was nothing.

After breakfast, Jiang MingYuan went to work and Cheng Huan brought XingXing with her to visit his teacher.

The new teacher, too, was over on Xinsi Road, very close to where Cheng Huan used to live. Their appointment was at 10 AM and the new teacher was already waiting there when they arrived.

She was a girl in her 20s with a babyface. She was less than 1.6 meters in height and has dimples when she smiled. She was one who gave the feeling of being very personable.

Cheng Huan chatted with her for 2 hours and both of them were pleased after their talk. XingXing was the only one who was a little worried. He put his arms around Cheng Huan’s thigh after they left and asked, “Mommy, am I going back to school?”

“Yes. Haven’t we already talked about this?”

“But I don’t want to go back to school.” The little kid looked troubled. “I want to stay home and play games.”

Cheng Huan, “… …”

Ignoring her son’s fantasy, she went downstairs with the boy. The chauffeur was waiting outside and took them home after they got inside of the car.

On their way back, they drove past the remodeling project on Xinsi Road. It had only been a few months but almost half of the somewhat remote little distract had already been demolished.

Looking at the piles and piles of rubbles, she had the chauffeur pulled over. After their car had come to a complete stop, she patted XingXing and pointed outside of the window. “Do you see hose aunties and uncles over there?”

XingXing opened his eyes wide and looked outside of the window. He nodded.

“You will be working constructions like these aunties and uncles if you don’t go to school.”

The little kiddos shrank his neck back some.

A lot was going on at the construction site. The mechanical arms of the machineries worked nonstop. And it didn’t take long when half of a house crumbled. Large fragments of construction materials fell onto the ground, kicking off a cloud of dust around it. The excavator came over immediately and removed the debris.

“Oh, wait.” After watching on for a little while, Cheng Huan said, “You can’t even do that if you don’t go to school.”

She looked at XingXing and said regretfully, “Because you don’t even know how to work an excavator.”

XingXing was about to start crying as he watched on. It was dusty outside and already looked very uncomfortable. Covering up his nose, the little kiddo dared not comment any more that he didn’t want to go to school. He tugged at Cheng Huan’s sleeve and said in a low voice, “Mom, let’s head home.”

Cheng Huan just wanted to freak him out a little. Now that her purpose had been served, there was no reason for them to stay anymore. The car started again and they drove forward. XingXing sat up straight in the seat and pondered. After a little while, he turned his head and said to Cheng Huan, “Mom, let’s go back me a backpack.”

“Okay.”

“I want a pretty one!”

“Sure.”

“I want one with superman on it!”

Cheng Huan smiled and turned toward XingXing. She pinched his nose a little and said, “Alright. We will buy you a pretty backpack with superman on it.”

XingXing made a “Yay” sound and bounced up and down a little in his seat before he professed his feeling, “Mom, I love going to school!”
