The Bear’s Domain.

Lord Seg was holding his son’s corpse, weeping uncontrollably.

“My son, rest assured, your father will avenge you. I will tear the person who killed you to pieces and send them down to accompany you.”

Good looked at Kevin’s already cold body inside the coffin and couldn’t help but sigh.

Just yesterday you were here, and today you’re gone.

“Please restrain your grief, Patriarch. Our secret here must have been exposed. I hope you make preparations early.”

Seg gently stroked Kevin’s pale, purplish cheek, his heart filled with sorrow, but he understood Good’s words and could only suppress these emotions deep inside.

With a voice tinged with anger, he demanded,

“How many of us are left?”

Gude picked up the list handed over by a soldier and reported,

“Master, we lost about a hundred men the night before last. Now, only ten servants and 18 knights remain. It will take another two days to move everything.”

Seg’s eyes turned bloodshot upon hearing that only a mere 18 of his elite soldiers were left. The towering rage could not be contained, and with a punch, he made a large hole in the wall.

After venting briefly, Seg continued to question Gude,

“Have you found that succubus?”

Gude glanced at the large hole in the wall, swallowing involuntarily.

Fear lurked deep within his pupils, knowing well that the gust from that punch had just grazed his face.

If they weren’t so short on hands, Gude had no doubt that this day next year would mark his own memorial.

After the shock, he hurriedly replied,

“Master, we’re a bit short on manpower, no discoveries yet.”

“Worthless, all of you are worthless, get out, all of you get out!”

Gude, far from displeased by these words, scurried away as if pardoned.

Back to Gu Ming, inside the principal’s office.

“Principal, I have an urgent matter to report.”

Principal Dan calmly took a sip of tea, gesturing with his finger to the teacup, signaling him not to rush and to take it slow.

“My dear friend, one must not speak so agitatedly. Have a sip of the holy spring to calm your mind.”

Gu Ming stared at the green tea in front of him, cursing under his breath. Ordinary tea, and you’re telling me it’s some kind of holy spring? I don’t believe you for a second, you crafty old man.

“The principal can’t be delayed, I’ve discovered a branch of the Dark Guild in the surrounding lands,”

“What?”

Principal Dan stood up, exclaiming with surprise,

“My dear friend, quickly tell me, where is this Dark Guild? I shall go forthwith to annihilate them, to gift the world a bright and clear universe.”

“It’s back at the Bear Territory of Baron Segg,”

Watching his animated reaction, one might truly believe he was a righteous mage with a heart for the masses.

But who is Gu Ming? A seasoned fan of the second dimension, he saw through the principal’s dramatic cloak-flinging gesture, recognizing a man who had suppressed his urges for too long, yearning to show off.

“My dear friend, your information couldn’t have come at a better time. I will organize the troops immediately, wait here for me,”

Seeing his hurried demeanor, Gu Ming couldn’t help but chuckle at such an interesting eighth-tier powerhouse.

In no time, Principal Dan arrived at the field with a grand entourage.

The Royal Academy was not just a school, but also a place where one trained to battle against demonic warriors.

This was a school where one could truly meet their demise.

On the stage, the principal spoke with fervent passion,

“The time for battle has come, my friends. We shall shine like the dawn, illuminating the darkness, leaving no evil unexposed…”

Erik hastily grabbed the microphone, saying,

“Thank you, Principal, for your inspiring words. Now, all students of the third tier and above, step forward.”

“Just let me add a few more words,”

Erik frowned, dodging the principal’s attempt to take back the microphone, and continued addressing the crowd,

“This is a rare opportunity for training, my fellow students. We must not delay, let us depart.”

The grand procession arrived at the Barbarian Bear territory in no time.

Guided by the memories of that night, Gu Ming led everyone to the entrance of the dungeon.

Following Gu Ming, they all descended.

The apprentices looked around at the charred surroundings and the stitched monsters that had been cooked in some medicine pots, feeling a sense of horror.

Gu Ming believed that these things in front of them were enough to convict Seg.

Then it was Principal Dan’s turn to make an appearance, as a white magic circle condensed in his hand.

Principal Dan placed some of the debris on the ground onto the magic circle, which instantly devoured it, and immediately a white arrow appeared in front of everyone.

“Follow me, gentlemen,” he said.

Principal Dan quickly moved in the direction of the arrow, with everyone following closely behind, except for two, Gu Ming and Leo.

Looking at the charred remains around the dungeon, Leo felt a deep shock and sorrow. These remains were once living beings, now turned into piles of ashes. He couldn’t help but imagine the despair and pain of those lives in their final moments, a surge of indescribable sadness welling up in his heart.

At the same time, he also felt a deep anger and dissatisfaction. The people of the Dark Guild were so cruel and heartless, treating life with no respect. Their actions not only brought endless pain to the victims but also caused great destruction and unrest in the world. He decided to seek justice for these innocent lives and make the enemies pay the price they deserved.

If Gu Ming knew what was in his heart, he would surely sigh and say, “It has to be you, oh great hero.”

“Hey, silly boy, what are you looking at? Let’s go,” Gu Ming called out.

Leo glared at Gu Ming, furious.

“It’s because of people like you that so many innocent lives are tragically lost,” he accused.

Gu Ming was taken aback by this unexpected blame. He was determined not to admit it, saying he was a good citizen, number three, even if he had killed people, they were those who deserved it.

Shivering with anger, he thought, ‘You’re trying to pin this on me, picking a fight? Sorry, I won’t give you that chance.’

“Hey, hey, hey, you can eat whatever you want, but you can’t just say anything. What do you mean ‘people like me’? I’m the one who brought you here, and I’m the one who exposed them. You’re being too much by casually putting the blame on me,” Gu Ming retorted.

“Hmph, I don’t know what your motives are, but you better not let me catch you slipping, or you’ll remember what I told you,” Leo warned.

With that, Leo puffed up his chest and walked towards the dungeon exit, leaving Gu Ming speechless, having been sprayed with another round of his anger.

Leo cannot be killed now. If he were to die, what would become of the demon generals that follow? It’s not as if I could confront them myself. That’s simply out of the question. Last time, just one of the Seven Sins nearly cost me my life, not to mention the Demon King, who can only be slain with the holy sword. I have no desire to meet an early demise.

The best strategy is to let them destroy each other, while I reap the rewards from behind the scenes with my skill, ‘Illusionary Harvest.’ So, dear Leo, prepare to be my pawn, heh heh heh.

However, there is a condition: the hero must not catch wind of my misdeeds. Discovering Verilite’s succubus identity or committing murder in public, for instance, would turn the hero’s blade from the demons to me.

After finding nothing of interest in the dungeon, Gu Ming promptly followed Leo out.
