The Way of The Dao

Ling Tian released his spiritual sense and directed it towards his Dantian.

That shining crystal sphere that did not lose its luminosity in comparison with the luminosity of his cultivation that was being sealed, floated in a part of his Dantian.

'What will this be?' Ling Tian began to inspect what that little sphere was.

He didn't want to direct his spiritual sense directly to it. He's had some bad experiences already and he really doesn't want that kind of situation to happen again.

For more than five minutes looking at it, Ling Tian couldn't figure out what that thing was.

'I seem to have seen this thing before, but I don't know where...' Ling Tian began to rack his brain to remember where he had seen that little crystal sphere before.

Then he remembered:

'Wait! This sphere is the one that was in my sea of knowledge!'. Ling Tian remembered that this thing was one of the objects that resided in his sea of knowledge without doing anything. They were just floating there, as if they were just clouds on a normal day.

Ling Tian quickly turned his spiritual sense to his sea of knowledge.

When he wanted to enter his own sea of knowledge, he felt a layer of restriction covering his entire sea of knowledge. He knew that the Heavenly Dao had sealed his sea of knowledge as well.

Being in the form of a soul, Ling Tian perceived his entire sea of knowledge.

His sea of knowledge was so vast and boundless, but it seemed a little blurry. This was because of the heavenly seal.

He quickly turned his gaze to the sky, where those three objects that had always been in his sea of knowledge were supposed to be.

Ling Tian was surprised to see only one object floating above his sea of knowledge. To be precise, the opaque bead that conveyed fear for the power it contained within it.

Ling Tian confirmed that this crystal sphere was one of those objects that were in his sea of knowledge, accompanying him during his ten thousand years of life, but in the end, they had never made any movement.

Ling Tian remembered that, only until he faced the Heavenly Dao and was about to die, his immortal force and the force of the sea of knowledge were being frantically absorbed, leaving him with less than 20% of all his strength.

'Now I understand why my strength was drastically reduced when I fell into that abyss.' Ling Tian sighed when he understood the lack of his strength.

'But if one is here, and the other is in my Dantian, where is the seed supposed to be?' Ling Tian soon remembered that the seed was missing. That seed could not have disappeared on its own, right?

Ling Tian began to feel his entire sea of knowledge. He was the owner of this place, so he could control everything, as well as "see" and "feel" every single detail.

Instantly, he turned his gaze to the depths of his own sea of knowledge.

Ling Tian felt something at the bottom of his sea of knowledge. It was not the seed, but something else.

Just when he wanted to check what that was, and if it had anything to do with the seed, Ling Tian felt that he was being thrown out of his own sea of knowledge and his head began to ache.

"Argh. Shit..." Ling Tian had a headache for over ten minutes.

'It seems I don't have enough soul strength to be in my own sea of knowledge.' Ling Tian recalled the first time he tried to access his own sea of knowledge when it was just a Foundation Establishment scenario, but since it was not yet a Nascent Soul scenario, he had not officially opened his sea of knowledge, so he had a headache when he tried to enter it.

Not a minute had passed and he was expelled, which shows that his soul strength is insufficient and he cannot stay inside for long because of the seal, and he could not even use his sea of knowledge for other things. Unless he lifted the heavenly seal that resided in both his Dantian and his Sea of Knowledge, he could use them again. He knew that he had to get to the Foundation Establishment, or at least, the Peak Stage of Chi Gathering so that he could use his sea of knowledge without any problems.

'When I am strong enough to enter comfortably, I will check what was under my sea of knowledge.' Ling Tian decided to find out later what was hidden at the bottom of his sea of knowledge.

After the headache went away, Ling Tian went back to his Dantian.

Ling Tian was thinking a lot of things about what that crystal sphere might be, but he could not find any logical explanation.

"Could it be another small pocket world?  Ling Tian pondered when he could not find any clue as to what that sphere was. That was the most plausible answer.

He knew that his little pocket world, which also resided in his Dantian, had disappeared, and was most likely related to that crystal sphere. Perhaps that sphere absorbed his little world and became one as well.

His little pocket world contained many things, such as immortal artifacts, immortal swords, immortal pills, immortal crystals, and so on. If that crystal sphere had absorbed all those things and had them inside, Ling Tian would let go of a burden. He didn't mind losing his little world so much, it was the things inside that really mattered to him. Above all, the immortal crystals. As there is no spiritual Chi in this world, he needs those immortal crystals to be able to heal his body and get some strength. His meridians needed to be healed. He needed some strength, at least that of a mere mortal so that he could defend himself. In this state that he cannot even stand up, he is no different than a fish on a chopping block.

'Haaa, looks like I'll have to risk it...' Ling Tian had no choice but to direct his spiritual sense into that crystal sphere.

As soon as Ling Tian's spiritual sense came into contact with the crystal sphere, it was absorbed along with Ling Tian's consciousness quickly within it.

When Ling Tian opened his eyes, he was stunned.

That crystal sphere, it had a space inside it!

Rather, it was really a small world. Only, unlike his previous small world, this one was much bigger.

Where Ling Tian was standing, it was the size of a room. Everything around him was lit up and alive, but outside of that space, there was a line, like a layer that delimited that space where he was, while outside it was somewhat dark and mostly opaque, as if from that limit the space was lifeless.

Ling Tian managed to glimpse an enormous space beyond where he was. He tried to walk, to pass that boundary that differentiated between the translucent and the opaque, but there was an invisible barrier that prevented his passage.

'I guess that when I get stronger, this space will expand, making the barrier that prevents me from going beyond it be displaced, giving me more space.' Ling Tian thought this idea was feasible. He had heard of a powerful Immortal that, his pocket world would expand whenever his power increased, so Ling Tian thought this was the case.

Ling Tian observed everything around him. Even though the space outside his boundary was somewhat gray and dark, he could still observe what was there.

The space in the little world was like a big forest. Full of trees, plants, bushes, among other things. Vaguely even a part of a river could be seen.

Ling Tian was relieved to see that the things he had in his old pocket world were there, but he felt helpless when he saw the place where they were.

All his belongings were beyond his small space where he could move. They were in the dark area, so he could not access them now.

'Well, whatever. At least they're there, which means I can use them later.' Ling Tian was not discouraged by not being able to use his things now. He was happier that they were still there.

Ling Tian came out of his little world.

"Hahaha, little Shuiruo, I've come for you!"

Just as Ling Tian was beginning to think about how to undo that heavenly seal, a shriek sounded from outside his room.
