"By the way, Brother Tian... is your body okay now? I see that even the wounds from before have healed quickly and you have none now." Mu Shen asked incredulously while looking at Ling Tian's body.

"Yes, my whole body is completely healed. It's a bit complicated to explain to you, but I'm fine now, hehe." Ling Tian said while looking at his body. He really had healed completely.

"Wow." Mu Shen was still amazed by Ling Tian's response, what kind of healing ability is that? Mu Shen showed a radiant smile as he asked, "Hey, Brother Tian, then what rank are you? You can at least tell me that, can't you? Hehe, mmm I think you are at least a rank Great Sky 2 stars, or even 3."

Ling Tian raised his eyebrows before flashing a bitter smile and saying, "I'm just a normal person now, I don't have any power."

Mu Shen was surprised and said, "But, if you were able to defeat Ming Fen and the other two by yourself, that means you are at least a rank Great Sky."

Ling Tian shook his head as he said, "Brother Shen, it is not that I am lying to you, but I really have no power now. I used a technique to increase my martial arts power temporarily, thus I was able to defeat those guys, but now, I have no power at all. I'm not even a bronze rank."

Mu Shen was stunned, but did not last more than five seconds when his face lit up.

Ling Tian who saw this, knew what he was thinking, and before he could speak, he said, "That technique requires a high cost, Brother Shen. It consumes a lot of strength and life energy, so you could only use it in an emergency. After that, you would be without strength for several months."

Ling Tian saw that he frowned and immediately said, "My case is something special, therefore my momentary recovery is something secret." Ling Tian showed a helpless smile.

Mu Shen was completely disappointed. A technique that allows you to increase your strength at once? What an incredible technique! A pity the price to pay is a bit high.

Mu Shen smiled bitterly at the thought that he was getting a bit greedy from wanting such an amazing technique.

"Wait, if you said that you are just a normal person now, do you mean that you had power before?" Mu Shen remembered when Ling Tian had screamed at noon, and from what he had told him a few moments ago, he confirmed that he was powerful before.

Ling Tian stared at him for a few seconds before saying, "You're right. I used to have a power you couldn't imagine. But now it's gone. I'm just a simple mortal..."

'Mortal? That's a strange word to hear.' Mu Shen was surprised by what Ling Tian had said. It seems he had gone through something and lost his power or something.

"Don't worry, Brother Tian, I know you can get your power back someday." Mu Shen felt a depressed aura from Ling Tian, so he wanted to encourage him: "I remember what my grandfather used to say: 'One must go with the flow, if you can go on, go on, if not, let yourself go. When things have changed and you can understand that, then you can breathe and move on...' whenever I couldn't do something or was very frustrated, that was what he said to encourage me."

Ling Tian was surprised by Mu Shen's grandfather's blissful phrase. Ling Tian felt that slightly something was echoing inside him, as if there was a voice trying to get out, but he didn't know what that was.

Just as he was about to reflect and think about that phrase that had resonated faintly in his being, he heard a cry from outside the house:

"Mu Shen! Come out at once! And tell your friend to come out too!"

Mu Shen raised his eyebrows in shock as he did not expect that person to come quickly.

He quickly got up and said: "I will see what Ming Zeng wants".

Ling Tian saw Mu Shen leaving quickly and heading out of the house. He didn't even make the attempt to stand up and go out to see. He wanted to see how this situation would develop.

Therefore, he released his spiritual sense and watched the scene.

"Where's your friend?! Tell him to come out!" Ming Zeng barked when he saw Mu Shen come out alone.

Mu Shen replied: "He is weak now, so he can't come out."

He knew that Ling Tian was completely cured, but he had no power to defend himself, so he said he couldn't get out.

Ming Zeng frowned, as he raised his voice: "Bastard Mu Shen, do you think what your friend did to my little brother can be overlooked?"

'It seems that Ling Tian did leave Ming Fen in a bad state...' Mu Shen slightly squinted as he said, "That's what he gets for wanting to take advantage of my little sister. He got what he deserved!"

Ming Zeng had to reluctantly admit inside that his younger brother had really done some dirty things, so it wouldn't be strange if one day something bad happened to him. But even so, that didn't let his pride and arrogance as a young teacher from one of the five great families accept his mistake.

"Maybe you're right, however, your friend has to accept the consequences of having offended my Ming family. This cannot go unpunished. I'm giving you one last chance to let your friend out so I can take him." Ming Zeng released a threat as he looked directly at Mu Shen.

Mu Shen was not intimidated and said, "I told you, Ming Zeng, he cannot leave for now. So if you want to take him away, you have to go through me". Mu Shen positioned himself ready to fight.

Ling Tian had saved his only family he had, so he would not be ungrateful and hand him over to Ming Zeng. He even really started to see Ling Tian as his brother. He was sure that Ling Tian was one of those people who would do anything for his loved ones. Even though he knew that Ming Zeng was already a King rank, he didn't care. He owed Ling Tian, so he wouldn't let him down.

"Hmph! I'm told you're already ranked Great Heaven, but, let me tell you, you're no match for me, I'm ranked King, so I advise you not to try to interfere. I won't be responsible if anything happens to you". Ming Zeng bragged arrogantly.

Mu Shen did not flinch and went on with his stance, ready to fight.

Ming Zeng frowned as he saw that Mu Shen ignored his warning, so he decided to teach him a lesson.

Mu Shen and Ming Zeng exchanged several blows. Obviously, Mu Shen was clearly at a disadvantage. He ended up with some severe blows.

However, Mu Shen did not give up and stubbornly continued not to comply with what Ming Zeng told him. He would not give up Ling Tian.

Ling Tian, who was watching this from his room, smiled weakly. He had finished truly accepting Mu Shen as a friend.

Sigh

Ling Tian breathed a sigh when he said to himself, "This is not the immortal world. I must stop thinking as if it were still there. People on this lower plane can really be sincere and honest. Even though they cultivate a strange method of defending themselves from demonic beasts, they still live a worldly life. One can truly come to trust them..."

Ling Tian had a new vision of Mu Shen. He could discern that he could trust Mu Shen. He could become a really good and true friend.

Ling Tian decided to help Mu Shen, even if he had no power, he could scare away Ming Zeng.

His sea of knowledge was also sealed, but just like his heart and his Dantian, he had several restrictions in one layer, so Ling Tian could lift one layer of the restrictions without having to unlock the whole seal, so he could use the pressure of his sea of knowledge on Ming Zeng and hurt him, to finally drive him away.  Although doing that would surely bring him a huge headache from lifting the heavenly seal, or worse, he could be unconscious for a few hours.

"Ming Zeng! You dare to bully others of low rank! Have you no pride as one of the five great families?"

A piercing shout was heard somewhat far away, preventing Ling Tian from partially lifting the heavenly seal in his sea of knowledge.

Scanning with his spiritual sense, Ling Tian found a young man wearing combat style clothing and a spear on his back, along with an angry look, as he shouted at Ming Zeng in anger and took Mu Shen's side.
