Ming family. Main hall.

"Father! We can't let them slap our family around like that!"

Ming Zeng, was kneeling in front of a middle-aged man.

That man was Ming Xian, the current patriarch of the Ming Family. He was currently in the rank of 3-star King.

"Son, I'm angry too with what they did to your younger brother, but now, we can't risk it!" Ming Xian spoke solemnly as he recalled his plan in mind.

Ming Zeng was silent to hear what his father said. He knew what his father was thinking.

"Zeng'er, I know you want to avenge your brother, but you have to know that what we're about to do is more important. It concerns the future of the whole Ming family, so we have to be very careful" Ming Xian said when he saw his son's helpless face.

Ming Zeng nodded with some difficulty.

He knew that this matter concerns the future of the entire Ming family, so if they really fail, the Ming family would fall.

"Don't worry, once we finish with this plan, all those who dared to disrespect us will be killed!" Ming Xian spoke in a somber voice.

Ming Zeng finally accepted and waited until everything was ready.

"Father, did Grandfather Waen really get into the Legend rank?" Ming Zeng remembered the news he received that day about his grandfather and was excited.

Ming Xian nodded with an excited face as he said, "Father Waen has truly entered the Legend rank, so the power of our Ming family has improved greatly. You might even say, he' s our hidden card!"

Ming Zeng was amazed to hear his father's confirmation. Legendary rank! He hoped to reach that rank someday too, even surpass it!

"Having obtained the resources of the Treasury of the Lord of the City's Mansion without being noticed, the father has been able to increase his power greatly, achieving the same rank as the Lord of the City!"

"But, due to the fact that he barely entered the Legend rank, he has to be in seclusion to stabilize his power and understand the magnitude of his strength, therefore it could take him a few weeks."

Ming Zeng wanted to continue training to quickly increase his power, but he knew that unless he found the resources to increase his strength, he would not be able to make much progress.

Suddenly, Ming Zeng asked seriously, "Father, how's the matter of controlling that? What's the highest rank we can control?

Ming Xian knew what son was talking about, so he responded equally seriously: "So far, we can control demonic beasts that are below the rank of Emperor. Once your grandfather comes out of seclusion, he himself could control up to 10 beasts in the Emperor range, so we have a better chance of accomplishing our goal."

Ming Zeng nodded in wonderment at his eyes. It seemed they would actually accomplish their goal!

Ming Xian responded: "Zeng'er, Patriarch Dong still seems to be resisting the marriage of his daughter. Although we've already coerced a lot of their property, managing to cut off the flow of where they get their resources and support, they're still asking us for a little more time..."

"Father, once this is over, give me Mengxin! I want her to be my woman!" Ming Zeng was getting a little impatient, but then he remembered the plan and knew that once they succeeded, no one could refuse the Ming family.

In the Star City, there were five beauties recognized by everyone, so he would go first for the first most beautiful woman he had seen, who was Yun Mengxin, and then go after the others. He wanted to have them all in his service! With the plan to control the demon beasts and succeed, he could make all five of them his women!

Ming Xian nodded with a smile on his face as he remembered that beautiful young woman. Even he had to admit that he had never seen a more beautiful woman than her. And there were still four more women who were not lost compared to that young woman. He would support his son in getting those beautiful women.

"By the way..." Ming Xian remembered something and said: "Tomorrow, Patriarch Chao of the Zhang family will take several young men from his family away from the Star City to train them against the demonic beasts, so we have decided to start with the plan. Thus, we will be able to see the result of controlling the demon beasts by making it look like an attack by hordes of demon beasts while, at the same time, we will weaken the power of the Zhang family!"

Haaaa, I hope he has gone away and never returns to Star City. He would become our one and only obstacle to making our plan a success. His power seems to be beyond the Legend rank. Ming Xian had a sombre face as he remembered that young man described by the Lord of the City. His power was a variable he had not contemplated in his plan. It seems that, if he really appeared, his plan would be ruined.

Ming Zeng had clenched his fists with a face of envy.

He's 23 years old and already in the 1-star King rank. He was way ahead of his generation. Thanks to the Ming family's resources, he was able to progress at incredible speed. He became the strongest young man in the Star City.

A young man in his early 20s overtook him!

He even has an amazing power beyond the Legend rank!

Ming Xian watched his son's expression and knew what he was feeling.

Ming Xian spoke up and said: "Zeng'er, go to the secret storage room in our residence, I managed to get the tricolor Iris flower from the Treasury of the Lord of the City's Mansion. Ming Xian was planning to use those medicinal plants for himself, but, he wasn't sure he could achieve the rank Emperor. So he decided to have his son use those plants.

Ming Zeng let go of his helplessness and anger, when he heard what his father said.

It seems he can still become stronger in a short time!

"Thank you, Father! I won't let you down!" Ming Zeng thanked with a proud smile as he bowed in appreciation to his father. Then he turned around and left the main hall.

"I hope not..." Ming Xian muttered as he watched his son walk away.

He hoped that Ming Zeng would become much stronger, so there would be a greater chance of success in the plan.

Ming Xian kept thinking about many things. After almost an hour, he got up and left.
