"Lord of the City!"

Long Cheng nodded to the guards as he made his way to Lord's Mansion.

"Long Hong, immediately call all the patriarchs and ancestors of the 5 great families of Star City. Tell them that the Lord of the City immediately requests their presence. This concerns the safety of Star City." Long Cheng issued an order to a member of his Long family who, when Long Cheng was away, managed most things.

"Understood." Long Hong nodded briefly as he left the Mansion.

Long Cheng addressed his daughter and said, "Yin'er, go back to your room, we adults will have to talk about important matters once everyone is here..."

Long Yuyin nodded slightly as she hesitated a bit and said, "Father, are you going to tell them about Big Brother Ling Tian? ... Will we be able to see him again?" Long Yuyin asked this last question with a hopeful look.

Long Cheng sighed at the sight of that look on his daughter. He knew that she had liked that young man. It was normal for her to show interest in that young man. He saved them both when they were about to die. Even his daughter could have fallen in love with him.

Long Cheng was sitting in what appeared to be a slightly higher place. So he could supervise and speak without interference with everyone present.

There were at least 12 people in the room. They were all sitting around a large circular table so everyone could see each other.

Long Cheng was sitting at the head, next to him was Long Hong.

Each following space had two people together, one arrangement to represent each family.

"Gentlemen, first of all, Peng Se, Ling Hau, Wa Ning and all the others on the expedition team have died... Even Long Deng and Naom Sen have died too..." Long Cheng spoke slowly and helplessly as he remembered the death of his team.

No one spoke. There was total silence where one could even hear the sound of a needle falling. The atmosphere lasted a few minutes before anyone could speak:

Zhang Chao raised his head and asked: "Lord of the City, that means, this person, is he beyond the rank of Legend? Who could this powerful lord be?"

It was several minutes before anyone spoke again.

"L-Lord of the City... Did that young man, Ling Tian, say where he came from? He couldn't be from here in Star City, could he?" Yun Dong spoke with some hesitation, he still couldn't believe it.

"That's right... Could it be beyond the mountains? But we haven't known of any human settlement for hundreds of years..." Ze Rum spoke as he pondered where the young man was coming from.
