The Way of The Dao

A slash that seemed to cut through even space itself pierced horizontally, killing all the enemies who stood there frozen in fear!

"Haah..." Ling Tian exhaled with slight difficulty before quickly steadying his breathing.

This move had drained him a bit of strength!

Ling Tian narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at what had happened in front of his eyes with detail and thoroughness. Those almost imperceptible spatial cracks that seemed to pierce through even the void surprised him a little, making him ponder and sink into his thoughts about that mysterious movement he had.

What was that movement?

Where did that energy that could traverse even space and the void itself come from?

Ling Tian was sure that although he could do that very thing with his own strength, he could not do it at this moment, but only when he regained some of his true power. In order for such an attack to be able to pierce through the space of the world itself, it would have to come from somewhere.

Although it could draw in more energy, Ling Tian could only summon a little of it, since this small world might be destroyed by not being able to withstand it.

"Void Sword?" Ling Tian muttered, pondering that it could only be that.

That energy that had ultimately condensed into a sword did not come from this world, and neither did it come from him or the Heavenly Sacred Scriptures within him, but from the Void itself...

That unknown but at the same time vaguely familiar feeling, as if he was able to be able to summon it at any time he wanted, as if something was in the infinity the void waiting for him at any time to be summoned by him and give him its power, told Ling Tian that it is not something so simple.

Even the feeling it conveyed to him seemed to make him understand that it might be stronger than the Dragon force in him!

Ling Tian even thought that it could be a powerful divine sword, a weapon that had surpassed the immortality ranking and could easily destroy the Immortal realm. Only that kind of weapon could surprise Ling Tian and also easily destroy a small world with just a little bit of its energy!

However, at this moment, Ling Tian still speculated more things.

No remnants of blood or bodies of the enemies were left, all staring in stupefaction and bewilderment at Ling Tian, who frowned for a while before sighing and shaking his head, returning back to where Yun Mengxin, Lan Yin and Qing Sha were standing.

"Wow, Master, teach me how to do that attack!"

"I want to learn too, Master!"

Qing Sha and Lan Yin, with their amazed and expectant expressions took Ling Tian's hands and looked at him happily, wanting Ling Tian to teach them about what he had just done. The little white fox jumped towards Ling Tian's shoulder, as if that place belonged to it.

"Master is still learning it, so I can't teach you yet." Ling Tian smiled warmly and gently stroked the little heads of both girls, making them giggle and show happy expressions.

"What was that?" Yun Mengxin looked a little astonished at Ling Tian, asking what everyone had in mind. She was sure that Ling Tian had never done that move before and it was his first time doing it, as if it was a superior martial skill unknown to her.

Mu Shuiruo, Zhang Xinya, Long Yuyin, Shan Qingwu also approached, looking at Ling Tian and wanting him to explain what had happened. Sun Xiang and Shin Wei also approached and waited for Ling Tian to speak.

Tang Wanying, Xuanyuan Ling and the others who was studying the teleportation formation did not move, but paused for a moment and also turned to look at Ling Tian, paying attention to what he would say.

"I really have no idea." Ling Tian shrugged his shoulders and said, "This ability or attack method I felt it when the Dragon form manifested that time and then I connected with something strange. Although I only have that connection and feeling towards something in the infinity, as if it is in the endless dimension of the void itself, I don't know anything else or what it actually is." No matter how much he thought about it, Ling Tian could not come to a conclusion.

The only conclusion he could come up with, was that by coincidence or something else, he had connected with some place or some powerful object that could do such a thing.

Not even his most powerful weapon of choice in its heyday gave him that feeling. And now even though it is destroyed, it could still kill some more.

But now, Ling Tian seemed to have an ace up his sleeve.

Such power just by manifesting and attracting that mysterious energy could cut through heaven and earth!

Although it could leave him exhausted, Ling Tian had one more ultimate attack.

The little white fox jumped again from Ling Tian's shoulder to Qing Sha and Lan Yin, being mostly with the two girls. Qing Sha and Lan Sin played with each other along with the little white fox as they always used to do, although it seemed rather curiously that the little white fox was playing with and taking care of them both at the same time.

Qing Sha turned to look at Chen Zeiwei once more before going back to playing with Lan Yin and the little white fox.

Chen Zeiwei, He Qianye and others, looked stunned and shocked, gazing dazedly at Ling Tian who walked over and ignored them, heading towards where the others were. Chen Zeiwei quickly snapped out of her stupefaction as she noticed Qing Sha's gaze before wondering many things, realizing the happiness and playfulness of a happy little girl.

"Keep wrapped with your cultivation essence inside the furnace for a while longer until the furnace has cooled down." Ling Tian rubbed Sun Xiang's head before turning to his other disciples studying the formation.

"Ready?" Ling Tian looked slightly expectantly at his disciples and Tang Wanying.

Shin Wei smiled bitterly while his two martial brothers shook their heads slightly with small helpless smiles.

Tang Wanying kept her expression serious and concentrated, but Ling Tian could see the difficulty in her gaze, as if she had encountered an obstacle and couldn't move forward.

"So, how long would you be able to fix it?" Ling Tian asked Tang Wanying first, wanting to see if she had understood any of the array and see her current level of knowledge.

"I feel like it would take more than three months to fix it..." Tang Wanying whispered soon after, her face blushing slightly as she felt ashamed not wanting Ling Tian to be disappointed in her.

"Really? And what would you do first?" But Ling Tian raised his eyebrows and asked expectantly.

That Tang Wanying had said he could arrange such a formation in three months was unbelievable at his current level!

Most people, if not all people who had the same learning time that Tang Wanying had would take years and years to fix it!

After all, even though Tang Wanying didn't have much time studying formations, she studied painstakingly and her ability was incredible.

Even Long Yuyin, Zhang Xinya, Shan Qingwu and Mu Shuiruo were surprised, knowing that this kind of thing would take time to fix, even more so when it came to these naturally formed things. Yun Mengxin blinked and smiled softly, nodding inwardly that Tang Wanying really did have talent and ability for this area of formations.

Not to mention Hao Zhentian, Ying Chen, Shin Wei and Sun Xiang. They were surprised to accept that in terms of ability and learning, they were far behind this new Master of theirs. However, in their hearts they were happy for her, feeling happy and proud to have such intelligent Masters like her.

Even Xuanyuan Ling was dumbfounded!

If she didn't know that Tang Wanying had barely been studying formations for a little over a month, she wouldn't believe that this woman was a beginner.

"I would start by repairing the edges and tracing the natural line that is the base of the formation..." Tang Wanying began to explain what she planned to do, explaining to Ling Tian everything she knew.

Ling Tian smiled softly, watching and listening intently to what this wife of his was so excitedly explaining.

"As I expected from you." Ling Tian said affectionately, lovingly stroking her soft cheek. Tang Wanying would be a grand master of the formation!

"Ehn." Tang Wanying nodded slightly blushing, feeling happy and excited that she had not disappointed her husband. Although she was aware that Ling Tian's disciples would be able to repair it in less time than her, Tang Wanying was not arrogant or haughty; she knew that she still had a lot to learn.

"And you?" Ling Tian looked at Ying Chen expectantly.

Ling Tian now wanted to see what abilities and knowledge these disciples of his had acquired after all these years of not seeing them.

Although Ying Chen was more interested in artifact refinements just like Sun Xiang, they all still had knowledge in the main areas of Dao.

"I would first repair the energy concentration points so that the formation would not collapse and be destroyed..." Ying Chen similarly began his explanation in a summarized form and in a more essential and simple way.

Hao Zhentian and Shin Wei, as the ones who had a little more knowledge in the formations, gave their answers, explaining the quickest way to repair the formation.

"It would take minimum about 5 days to repair it, Master." Hao Zhentian said after Ying Chen and Shin Wei explained their repair methods. This was the shortest time they could repair this formation!

Shin Wei claimed that he could repair it in almost 10 days, while Ying Chen said it would take 20 days. Ling Tian even asked Xuanyuan Ling, who with some confidence said he could repair the formation in almost three months, about the same as the time Tang Wanying said.

This explanation from these great disciples, made everyone aware that there was a heaven beyond the heaven and amazing experts who could shake those heavens. This also made Tang Wanying understand some things where she had doubts, gaining new ideas and ways to deal with the obstacles she encountered when studying the formations.

Zhang Xinya, Long Yuyin, Mu Shuiruo and Shan Qingwu watched from the side without interrupting, listening attentively to the explanations and views of these great experts. Yun Mengxin even immersed herself in the formation for a moment, observing it in detail thanks to Ling Tian's understanding and advice he gave her on the spot. Surprisingly, Yun Mengxin managed to quickly understand this, causing Ling Tian to nod inwardly and felt that it would not be unusual for her to repair the formation with the same form as him.

"I was not disappointed." Ling Tian smiled and said to his disciples shortly after listening to their explanations.

"However, if you manage to look at it from a central point of view inside and not just superficially and on the outside, you will realize that it is easier to understand and repair by just retracing the natural course that once existed..."

Ling Tian moved over the center of the formation and crouched down, placing his hand over the center and expelling the energy of the Heavenly Sacred Scriptures, pouring out a considerable amount of energy and illuminating a small part of the formation!

What's up guys, I'm finally done rotating in one area and I'm in another, which means I'll have time again to update better and almost every day! This weekend I'm not working and I'll edit the chapters I accumulated this week (since it has several errors and inconsistencies with the time).
