Li Fengyuan could not help but let her only option slip away and quickly said what she had thought at one point. Although she might be left broke, she would rather give Ling Tian all her savings and belongings if he would help her avoid this marriage. She was even willing to search for the powerful pill that could help a cripple cultivate again, even knowing the chances of finding and obtaining it.

Ling Tian was not surprised to see how far this woman was willing to go. Most people would no doubt do what they could to avoid having their destinies written and directed by someone else, feeling powerless at all times; this reminded him about Yun Mengxin and her life before they met, fighting for her own destiny to decide on herself. Not only Yun Mengxin, his other wives as well: Mu Shuiruo, Tang Wanying, Long Yuyin and Zhang Xinya.

Undoubtedly, the last thing Li Fengyuan said about the meridian rebuilding pill was something that not just anyone would dare to say. This kind of pill was hard to get. Actually, there were special pills for cripples to cultivate again; these pills would repair one's meridians and build one's foundation again. But these pills are not easy to make, let alone obtain, as one needed Golden Core grade materials and herbs and at least one alchemist with skill at Nascent Soul grade or higher.

Leaving aside the materials needed for the pill, it was almost impossible to find an alchemist of middle grade and above to do this.

But Ling Tian frowned slightly as he looked directly at Li Fengyuan, giving the impression as if he was trying to ogle her. This caused Li Fengyuan to misunderstand him and become annoyed, furrowing her eyebrows in mild displeasure.

"Become my personal maid and I will help you so that you can settle this matter."

Finally, Ling Tian spoke, surprising everyone by saying his answer. Shin Wei blinked in surprise as Xuanyuan Ling frowned at Ling Tian, being unable to believe that he would say this.

But Li Fengyuan scowled and her gaze turned cold and murderous, glaring with obvious contempt and hatred at Ling Tian!

"You want me to humiliate myself to you? You really are no different from all of them!" Li Fengyuan spat out coldly, insulting Ling Tian.

He wanted her to become his personal servant? To attend to him every night? That's unacceptable!

Li Fengyuan looked coldly at the sight of this man wanting to have her at his mercy, as if her life was really worthless and only an accessory to men.

She hates that more than anything!

"If you think that way you'll be making a mistake." But Ling Tian didn't bother and simply shook his head with a small smirk and added, "I told you I would help you fix this problem yourself, even the ones to come, I didn't say I would do it in exchange for what you're thinking." Ling Tian took the last trace of tea quietly.

Li Fengyuan frowned, analyzing Ling Tian's answer. While he said that he would help her to settle this matter herself, then what did it mean? Li Fengyuan could not help but easily think that Ling Tian was another degenerate and perverted man who only wanted her for her body, so she simply could not see Ling Tian in any other light.

"Although well, that one is for my little whim more than anything so that you can fend for yourself in the future, if you only want a one-time help to get rid of Feng Xuan and the others in the present, then it's fine." Ling Tian waved his hand lightly, not saying anything else and ignoring Xuanyuan Ling and Shin Wei's gazes. 

Li Fengyuan had reminded him of his wives and a part of him wanted to help her; Ling Tian always disliked and hates even when people are forced against their will, especially women who are taken as tools only for the elevation of strength and power in families.

Li Fengyuan could not help but frown even more with her conscience clearing and reasoning coming back to her as she slowly understood the hidden meaning in Ling Tian's words.

Ling Tian observed the obvious struggle in Li Fengyuan's eyes as she decided whether to accept or not, so he did not interrupt her. To him, in itself what Li Fengyuan asked was not difficult at all, a single wave of his hand could make her problems disappear. His gaze rose slightly to the moon and he thought back to that woman he took as his personal maid, rather precisely as his maid of sword!

He wanted to take Li Fengyuan as his personal sword maid! 

Ling Tian had inspected Li Fengyuan since she arrived and thus observed her without scruple, creating misunderstandings. The aura radiating from Li Fengyuan was sharp and powerful yet calm and serene, as if it was a sword before being unsheathed and displaying unimaginable power.

This kind of aura and feeling had reminded him of that woman who became his personal sword maid for a few years: Sheng Mei.

Ling Tian taught almost all of his understanding about the way of the sword to Sheng Mei when he entered another world far away from the Immortal realm. Although at that time Ling Tian still did not have his sword expertise like today, it was still powerful and above average, therefore, he found Sheng Mei and inherited his knowledge and experience to her so that she could help him in that world while they were looking for a way out so that he could return to the Immortal realm.

Sheng Mei was used as a tool and sacrificial object by her own family, even letting her cultivate to great realms to ultimately extract her power and cause her to lose her cultivation by becoming a human furnace at the age of about 15 for one of the young men of the same family. In the end, Sheng Mei lost her entire cultivation base and when she was about to die in the middle of the battle, Ling Tian passed around as he felt the ravages of battle and saved her.

Since then, Ling Tian cured her and set her on the path of the sword as she returned to cultivate again, growing by leaps and bounds unimaginable as she studied the sword art Ling Tian.

'Mei'er was a good girl who always listened to me, too bad I couldn't say goodbye to her when I was returned to the Immortal realm.' Ling Tian remembered that beautiful young but still somewhat immature face when he was with her. Sheng Mei was only about 15 years old when he rescued her and had increased her cultivation and strength rapidly over time due to her special sword body and his teaching. But because Ling Tian once fought against other powerful opponents, he ended up being sucked into the void due to the horrible battle by destroying space, being returned to the Immortal World without being able to return to that world.

Although Ling Tian tried to return to that world, he found no way. He even tried to risk entering the void directly, but since he did not have much knowledge back then, he ended up entering other different worlds.

Ling Tian had to move forward with no other choice, struggling to increase his cultivation in the Immortal realm. Once he became Supreme, Sheng Mei was one of the people Ling Tian also tried to seek out, again seeking the way to that world but to no avail. 

He even thought that the new Supreme who called herself Dragon Queen might be Sheng Mei, but Ling Tian sighed and denied it since he had only taught her sword skills and not the skills he used as Dragon King. Besides, he had been wearing another mask to keep hiding his face in case he encountered enemies in that world when he was recovering from his fatal wounds from one of the great battles of his life. 

"I hope she's fine..." Ling Tian whispered softly as he looked at the moon, causing Xuanyuan Ling and Shin Wei's ears to twitch slightly.

"So? If you have nothing more to say, you can leave."

After an indeterminate amount of time, Ling Tian looked slightly at Li Fengyuan.

Li Fengyuan hesitated and looked at Ling Tian, before being stupefied for a few seconds and saying her reply.
