Ling Tian finally approached Man Chong. The place was plunged into total silence. Apart from those nearby in the place, from disciples to some elders who managed to survive, as well as Heng Tiandi, Shi Ye and Hai Ton, were watching every trace of Ling Tian and the others.

Man Chong silently looked at Ling Tian. Surprisingly in his gaze there was no longer a trace of fear and terror, but a strange indifference, as if he didn't care about his current state.

"You're not going to try to escape again?" Ling Tian asked with a faint smirk full of indifference. His gaze fell directly on his eyes, unable to find some different.

"You're an immortal cultivator too?"

After several seconds, Man Chong asked without reservation.

Ling Tian raised his eyebrows slightly, looking at him without showing panic on his face or any other expression.

"What do you think?" Ling Tian shrugged his shoulders.

"You may have managed to ascend to the Immortal World and have advanced a realm or two perhaps, but what you're facing is not something you can imagine." Man Chong's eyes looked directly at Ling Tian, as if he could see right through him and expose his reality.

"How do you know I was in the Immortal World? Maybe I'm just a Great Ascension expert who has great powerful techniques as well as a strong body." Ling Tian smirked. He could not get used to the thoughts of enemies when they were defeated and had even the wildest and craziest thought about his strength and why they lost.

Although Man Chong could not understand how this young boy who seemed to have his meridians and dantian shattered into pieces and become a cripple could show such strength, he was not stupid. Refining the body to great achievements was very powerful, but not enough to easily subdue him as he had done. Man Chong was sure that Ling Tian might have some secret method or technique to help him hide his strength and pretend he was a cripple... after all, these kinds of techniques existed but on a higher plane, so this kid would have to have been in the Immortal World.

But even if he was such a powerful young man who ascended to the Immortal World, Man Chong was completely certain that Ling Tian could not have reached great levels of cultivation. "You seem to have a secret technique so that I can't assassinate your soul spirit?" Ling Tian asked solemnly. Ling Tian stood in front of Man Chong, who the latter was lying on the ground face down unable to move except for his head.

"You're smart." Man Chong sneered. But his arrogant expression clearly said that Ling Tian was right.

His soul could not be annihilated easily and as long as he could escape he could rebuild his body or possess another one!

Although his current power would diminish much more, this was nothing compared to the chance of survival. But if he could find a body with excellent aptitude, then he could cultivate to great heights!

Man Chong's soul was far from being truly immortal, but his soul strength was beyond those mortal souls.

Ling Tian looked at him with no emotion in his gaze. His right hand behind his back moved his fingers slightly, causing a slight disturbance in space.

Ling Tian was about to summon the [Void Sword]!

However, the next moment, Ling Tian stopped his movement, stopping the power coming from the void for his attack.

"My current Consciousness Sea seems to have a level comparable to the Separation and Reunion realm..."

Ling Tian whispered inwardly as he thought about his Consciousness Sea, and then the little sprout in the center of it when he obtained the Sacred Heavenly Scriptures. Ling Tian's jet black eyes glowed mysteriously before saying, "I will see what secrets you hide!"

Ling Tian's soul power locked Man Chong suddenly, aiming at his Consciousness Sea, startling Lu Wuhu and the others when they saw it.

"Stupid!" Man Chong laughed ridiculously when he saw Ling Tian's movement. He could sense that Ling Tian's soul force was barely at the Separation and Reunion level, while his own was far above him!

"If you want to see my secrets, you will have to pay the price of dying!" Man Chong grinned evilly. If this guy killed him directly, then he had no escape but to sacrifice his body. But if he wanted to fight with their souls, then he was looking for his own death.

Ling Tian frowned when he felt Man Chong's immense soul power, especially counterattacking and wanting to enter his own Consciousness Sea.

"You are a naive kid who has no experience! Hahaha!"

Man Chong laughed madly as his soul force easily broke through Ling Tian's defenses and entered his Consciousness Sea without thinking.

Man Chong's ghost-like figure immediately materialized inside Ling Tian's Consciousness Sea.

Ling Tian's soul spirit also manifested within his own Consciousness Sea.

The next moment, columns of water appeared and enclosed Ling Tian's figure.

*Swoosh! *

Ling Tian snorted and waved his hand, controlling and calming the water columns, returning to the small sea of the place.

"You shouldn't have chosen to fight with our souls. You had the choice to live a while longer but you yourself hastened your death!"

Man Chong's voice boomed as he looked at Ling Tian. His ghost figure was so solid within Ling Tian's Consciousness Sea, as if he owned the place.

Although being in the enemy's Consciousness Sea would be more dangerous because the control of the place belonged to the enemy and even more so if he was stronger than one, Man Chong didn't mind and on the contrary became more excited. If he could assassinate this guy's soul, then he could access all his secrets, memories and more. He could even absorb his Consciousness Sea to strengthen his own!

"Hmm?"

Man Chong suddenly frowned as he noticed that behind Ling Tian's figure, specifically in the center of the Consciousness Sea, there was a strange little bloom on top of a small island.

"What is that?" Man Chong did not know what that was and how besides spiritual weapons and artifacts could such a thing of nature exist within the Consciousness Sea.

Ling Tian's figure raised his hands and a force of domain instantly enclosed Man Chong. Columns of water dozens of meters high rose and attacked Man Chong, while a giant palm fell from the sky in his direction.

"I told you it's useless! The moment I entered your fate has already been decided!" Man Chong exclaimed with jubilation as he broke the domain that easily enclosed him. He raised his hands and cleared the space as he seemed to take control of the place, collapsing the columns of water heading towards him.

Suddenly, the rusty machete he had previously used to attack Ling Tian appeared in his hands in the form of a residual image!

Man Chong slashed skyward and destroyed the giant palm easily!
