"Little Shuiruo, I've come to see you! Could you come out so I can see your beautiful face?"

Just as Mu Shen was preparing to explain about martial artists to Ling Tian, a shout was heard from outside the house.

Ling Tian frowned at the sound of such a scream, and when he was about to ask, he heard Mu Shen murmur.

"Damn it! That fucking Ming Fen again!" Mu Shen swore quietly.

"Brother Tian, don't worry, rest here for a while, I'll go outside to settle the matter. When I return I'll continue to explain to you about it..." Mu Shen left the room quickly without letting Ling Tian answer.

Ling Tian could not move, much less stand, so he could only release his spiritual sense to observe what was happening outside.

Though his spiritual sense was sealed off along with all his immortal strength, he could still scan several feet around him. So he had no problem seeing what was going on outside.

When he launched his spiritual sense he could see that Mu Shen was coming out of the house and Mu Shuiruo was behind the door of the hidden entrance, observing the situation outside.

Outside the house, there were 3 young men. All of them seemed to be in their twenties. Their clothes were somewhat thin compared to Mu Shen, so one could see that their families were wealthy.

Because his spiritual sense was weakened because his cultivation was sealed off, he could barely see the level of cultivation of these boys.

The young man in the middle was in Stage Four of Chi Gathering, while the two of them were in Stage Three of Chi Gathering.

Ling Tian observed and heard Mu Shen speak to the young man in the middle of the three.

"Ming Fen, how many times do I have to tell you that my sister will not marry you! You only want her for fun, so I won't let you do anything to my younger sister!" Mu Shen barked coolly at Ming Fen.

"Hmph! Mu Shen, you're just a martial artist in the range of 3-star Heaven. You must be proud that I care about your dear little sister. I'd give her many things you couldn't give her. My Ming Family is one of the five most powerful families in Star City, and you have no family, just the two of you, so why resist?" Ming Fen spoke arrogantly about his background. There was a clear hint of contempt in his eyes as he looked at Mu Shen.

'Ming family?'. Ling Tian recorded that name.

"You...!" Mu Shen was furious to hear Ming Fen's words.

"Mu Shen, you should be clear, if you don't let your younger sister come out to see me, you'll be in trouble." Ming Fen spoke with arrogance as he prepared to strike Mu Shen. Even the two next to him moved, too.

Fwoosh

Ming Fen and the two henchmen moved around Mu Shen and threw a blow each.

Mu Shen was surprised that they suddenly attacked him, but he still reacted much faster, managing to dodge the blows while sending a punch to Ming Fen's stomach and two round kicks to the other two, causing them to fall to the ground.

Ouch!

Ming Feng was curled up on the floor like a shrimp, feeling a lot of pain in his stomach. The other two weren't much better.

Mu Shen stared at Ming Fen before he walked over to him.

"You are already a rank of Great Heaven? How can this be possible?! You've long been a 3-star Heaven rank... how could you increase your power?!". Ming Fen paled as he felt the power emitted by Mu Shen when he fought back.

Mu Shen stood before him and said: "Ming Fen, stop coming to bother my little sister, if next time you come back here or I find out that you're harassing her, I'll break your bones that you won't be able to walk for several months!" He spoke in a threatening tone.

Ming Fen managed to stand up, still keeping one arm on his stomach while threatening Mu Shen: "Don't think that because you are already a Great Heaven rank I won't be afraid of you. My big brother is already a King rank and you can't win against him, so you better think twice before you continue to hinder my plans!"

Immediately, Ming Fen changed his gaze to the entrance of the house and shouted, "Little Shuiruo, I know you are there, why don't you listen to me and I will give you everything I want. My family can give you everything you need." Ming Fen seemed to hesitate before continuing: "I can even help your big brother if you ask me to!"

Mu Shuiruo, who was hiding behind the door, came out with an angry face and shouted at Ming Fen, "How many times have I told you that I don't like you, Ming Fen? I won't marry a ruffian like you!" Mu Shuiruo yelled coldly to Ming Fen.

'It seems she's not just a shy girl. She's also fearless...' thought Ling Tian as he was surprised to see the current Mu Shuiruo. Though surprised, he thought it was normal that she was upset. Every person has a limit, and when this limit is reached, that person can get upset or angry and even put aside shyness, in this case as with Mu Shuiruo.

Ming Feng looked at Mu Shuiruo with fierce eyes. He did not even hide his eyes full of lust and desire when watching Mu Shuiruo.

Mu Shuiruo was disgusted by Ming Fen's look and quickly went back inside the house.

"Little Shuiruo, do not play hard to get, one day you will be with me and you will see that it is the best option for you, hehe." Ming Feng said proudly as he walked unconsciously away from Mu Shen so that the latter would not strike him again.

Ming Fen cast a final glance at the entrance, hoping to see more of Mu Shuiruo, but in the end, he turned and walked away slowly.

Ming Fen and the two henchmen left with pain in their bodies as they hurled curses and threats at Mu Shen for the pain he caused them.

"Haa..."

Mu Shen breathed a sigh when he saw those three finally gone.

Ling Tian scanned the entire house with his spiritual sense. He could only find Mu Shuiruo in the kitchen and Mu Shen outside the house.

Ling Tian observed this while thinking: 'It seems that these two siblings have no family. Only the two of them live in this house. There doesn't seem to be any trace of a third person...'

Ling Tian was contemplating what he had seen and heard. It seemed that the lives of these two siblings were plagued by various problems that came knocking at the door of their house.

Ling Tian had already become aware of Mu Shen's level of cultivation when he entered the room and spoke with him. He knew that Mu Shen was in the Fifth Stage of Chi Gathering. Even Mu Shuiruo was in the Second Stage of Chi Gathering. It seemed that she just increased her power by not doing much.

Ling Tian knew that Mu Shen must have worked hard to increase his cultivation. Although these people of this lower world might not know cultivation techniques, it seemed that they were practicing something similar to that, thus gaining the power to fight these demon beasts. That power was divided into several ranks, and it seems that from what he understood of this Ming Fen, each rank was divided into some levels known as stars.

Ling Tian was thinking about various things for quite some time, reflecting, when the door opened and Mu Shen came in smiling, as if nothing had ever happened.
