The Witcher: Elemental Lords
#269 - Sudden
"Who is the current person in charge of the Potion Hall?"
One of the students blurted out, "It's Vice-Dean Nicholas."
Dore nodded and casually sent a message. He needed two days of rest. Let Nicholas take over in the meantime. For the past six months, he hadn't had a good night's sleep. It was better to come back and settle down a bit.
Just at that moment, in the distant sky, a figure swiftly approached, its aura overwhelming. It not only alarmed Dore but even startled everyone. He had just flown over Ellengard Academy when an extremely loud voice echoed out.
"The Glory Wizard Alliance has issued an order, commanding Dore to promptly report to the Glory Wizard Alliance, or face punishment as a Dark Wizard."
The voice now materialized from the sky. It was Hauswell, who had a grudge against Dore.
Just then, above Ellengard Tower, another heavy voice resounded, "I have personally checked, and there are no problems."
Hauswell, a level four peak wizard, possessed an extremely intense aura, but when he encountered Ellengard, he couldn't be tough and could only lower his voice, "This is the decision of the Glory Wizard Alliance's leader, and it has nothing to do with me. I am just here to deliver the message."
Ellengard felt angry just looking at Hauswell. Hearing this, his voice carried a hint of anger, "I'll give you three seconds to get the hell out of here. I'm in a bad mood right now."
Hauswell stood in the sky. As Ellengard's impolite words were spoken, he felt a force enveloping him from all directions. The arrogance from before immediately disappeared, and sweat instantly streamed down his forehead.
This was Ellengard Academy, after all. He usually acted mighty in the Wizard Alliance, but here, he was courting death, so he secretly cried out in his heart.
He quickly retreated, retracting his aura as he retreated, admitting defeat, "The message has been delivered. I'll take my leave now." He turned and quickly disappeared into the horizon.
Dore looked in the direction where Hauswell had disappeared and sighed inwardly. He had been with a Dark Wizard for so long, so it was no wonder the Glory Wizard Alliance was reacting.
He turned to walk away.
At this moment, he saw a figure walking out of the tower and approaching him.
"Don't rush. I'll go with you."
A voice came.
Dore glanced over. It was Lamb.
Having not seen Lamb for half a year, Dore felt a sense of familiarity. He strode forward, a happy smile on his face.
Lamb looked at Dore, and seeing that he was still full of vigor, he breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't feel the joy of reunion but was filled with solemnity.
"Someone has initiated an investigation into you. I'm afraid they're not coming with good intentions. You need to be careful. It's easy to be targeted if you go alone. Let me go with you."
At this time, the two had already faced each other, and Dore gave Lamb a slight bow.
Dore frowned. He could guess what was happening. It was nothing more than fear that he would transform into a Dark Wizard or questions about some trivial matters. He wasn't afraid of any of that. Let them ask.
Of course, he definitely wouldn't talk about academic matters, and he also needed to be vigilant. So many wizards in Waltz City were stuck at level four; many of them were probably eyeing the Profound Corpse Worm.
He thought for a moment and said, "Then I'll have to trouble Vice-Dean Lamb. I need to go back to the laboratory."
Lamb's face turned ugly. "Your laboratory has already been occupied."
Dore's face darkened.
"Then let's go to Lamb Tower first." Dore instantly lost the mood to return to the Potion Hall.
Lamb nodded and said, "Follow me."
…
Lamb still maintained Dore's former room in the tower. Many of the large pieces of furniture that hadn't been moved were still there. Dore only needed to put in what he needed. In addition, the Profound Corpse Worm, which he wanted to hide the most, was hidden by him in a sealed jar.
This thing couldn't be discovered, not even by Lamb.
The Profound Corpse Worm usually fed on corpses and possessed potent corpse poison. It was a great weapon in itself. If it were found, the consequences would be truly unimaginable.
Now, owning an independent magic tower was absolutely imperative.
Thinking of this, Dore made a slight decision in his heart. He had to get a magic tower at all costs.
He thought of what Ellengard had said before, and his heart stirred slightly.
After leaving Ellengard Tower, the two immediately flew up, one in front and one behind, flying towards Waltz City.
In the sky, two figures flew gracefully, very dashing, but their postures were different.
Lamb's was a standard upright posture, with streams of wind surrounding him. The wind streams weren't strong, pushing him forward, and his figure seemed as light as a feather.
Dore, on the other hand, leaned his body slightly forward, head first. Powerful wind streams were precisely controlled and ejected from behind, using the force of reaction to push him forward, with almost no waste. In terms of speed, Dore was actually faster.
Lamb nodded. In terms of wizardry, Dore was indeed unparalleled in control. Such a person was very adept at concocting potions and using wizardry.
The two weren't slow, and it only took them twenty minutes to see the walls of Waltz City.
Just at this moment, ten kilometers outside Waltz City, the two could feel dozens of very powerful wizardry fluctuations. They immediately turned their heads to look and saw that the people from the Glory Wizard Alliance and the Alchemist Guild were already waiting there.
The leader was actually Dennis, the chairman of the Glory Wizard Alliance. Besides him, O'Neill, Hauswell, whom Dore was familiar with, and others were also present.
The people from the Alchemist Guild were also not weak. Chairman Wallace and others were all high-level figures with powerful strength and abilities.
In addition, a five-story miniature magic tower stood beside them. All of them had serious expressions, as if facing a great enemy.
Seeing this, Dore was slightly stunned.
These people really treated him like a Dark Wizard. If he were a Dark Wizard, would he still run here? He would have run away long ago.
Dore felt slightly unhappy, even a little uneasy.
Lamb also saw this situation and told him to be calm and see what happened first.
Dore nodded. Actually, he wasn't nervous. With his current potion-making skills, they definitely wanted him to stay.
The two turned in the sky and flew towards this side.
On the ground, Dennis and Wallace, the chairman of the Alchemist Guild, exchanged a glance, and said with solemn expressions, "They're here. That Unspeakable is a level five Dark Wizard. We don't know what methods he has, so we need to be careful."
Wallace nodded and said, "I've even moved the magic tower here. Don't worry. Besides, Ellengard has already checked. Are you sure he won't be angry that we're making such a big fuss?"
Dennis said, "He can be angry, but there's nothing we can do. This is the basic procedure. As long as we confirm that Dore is not dangerous, our Waltz City will still have a future for alchemists."
Wallace nodded. He sighed and said, "I'm afraid that Dore will have some resentment because of this, and someone else will snatch him away."
Dennis shook his head, "Don't worry, he won't. As long as we confirm that there's nothing wrong with him, we'll let her leave directly. It's been half a year. Who knows what methods that Unspeakable used on her? Ellengard may not be able to scan everything. Besides, we can also see what kind of meditation method he's cultivating."
The two immediately exchanged knowing glances.
