The Witcher: Son of the Planes

Chapter 88: Puxilai Secret Realm 1

Colin has been walking in this desert for a day.

He has been moving in the direction of Don Quixote and his group, but he doesn't feel that the distance has shortened much.

The minotaur Kobe Bloodhoof hired by Colin is on the other side of Don Quixote. It will probably take more time for him to meet up with Colin, so Colin simply lets him meet up with Don Quixote first.

The yellow sand is all over the sky, and the heat waves that blow from time to time make Colin's already limited physical strength rapidly decline.

He took out the water bottle he carried and drank a sip of water. The water flowed into his stomach along the esophagus without even getting his lips wet.

He shook the water bottle and there was only a little at the bottom.

It was also Colin's fault. He thought he would soon leave this desert. He didn't pay attention at first. He drank for a long time and drank half a pot of water in one go.

When he thought about the importance of water, there was basically nothing left.

Colin tried to gather the water element to see if he could release a water ball spell.

Colin, who was not water-friendly, couldn't release it at all.

Colin was still walking in the direction of Don Quixote and the others. There seemed to be no danger within his field of vision for the time being, but being in the desert was the biggest danger.

The sweat on his body dried up as soon as it came out, and the surface temperature was estimated to be over 50 degrees. Fortunately, the humans in this world seemed to be different from those in the previous life. Such a temperature would not cause a high fever or anything.

The wind blowing in his face seemed not so hot. Colin looked up at the sky. Are there stars in this secret realm?

Fortunately, it seemed to be getting dark soon, but I don’t know what the temperature will be at night.

What kind of broken place is this? I have been walking for a day, and it is getting dark, but I still can’t find a correct way.

Edith walked in one direction helplessly.

Edith didn’t have many teammates. There were only five people, including her, who entered the secret realm. However, although the Northland witches did not participate too much in the affairs of the continent, their strength should not be underestimated. Five people are much stronger than the eight people of many forces.

But unfortunately, the five people who came in this time were scattered, and none of them were close.

Through the ID card, Edith learned that others were at least in a normal environment, unlike herself in such an extreme environment - the desert.

Edith was better than Colin in that she was an apprentice of an ice wizard. Although there were few free water elements in the desert, Edith could still gather some to perform water ball magic.

The water bottle she carried was always full, and Edith even washed her face luxuriously.

However, if she couldn't find food again, Edith estimated that she would be out of food at noon tomorrow.

Although there was no food, she could still survive for several days, but who knew when she could get out of this desert?

The sky gradually darkened, and Edith felt a little lonely. In order to save her energy, she planned to cross the small sand dune in front and rest for a night.

Suddenly, Edith felt that there seemed to be a ray of light in front, just behind the small sand dune?

Edith suddenly had a lot of strength and walked quickly towards the small sand dune.

Standing on the top of the small sand dune, I saw a humanoid creature below, surrounded by a small group of flames.

According to common sense, the humanoid creature in front should be a trial apprentice who entered the Pushilai Secret Realm like Edith.

But what if it is not? After all, it was said before the start of the game that some monsters were deployed inside. Besides, even if it was someone else, there was no guarantee that they would not be hostile to me.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Edith first released an ice shield for herself for safety reasons. Looking at this thin shield, it was at least 70% weaker than outside, but it was better than nothing.

I have to go over and take a look, just in case the other party is more friendly.

While Edith released the ice shield, Colin had already felt that there seemed to be a fluctuation of magic on the top of the small sand dune behind him. When he turned his head, he saw something vaguely.

Colin, unlike Edith who thought so much, directly fired a fireball.

The fireball didn't hit Edith, it just flashed past her and continued to fly away.

However, the trajectory of the fireball was with light, and soon Colin found a person standing high up, well, a woman.

Colin's attack scared Edith, but after feeling the fireball, Edith calmed down, well, it should be a trial apprentice like her, and for some reason, he was randomly assigned here.

Before Edith could say anything, Colin shouted from below, "Who are you?"

"Hmm? The voice is familiar." Edith thought.

"Before asking someone's name, shouldn't you announce your own name first? If you are still a gentleman." Edith replied.

"Colin, my name is Colin, from Grimman College." Colin continued to shout loudly.

"Colin, Grimman College? Is it the guy who competed with me?" Edith wondered in her heart.

Edith didn't say anything more to Colin, but walked slowly down.

As they got closer, Colin finally recognized Edith.

"It's you?" Colin said with some surprise.

"I've been looking for you for a long time, but I never had a chance to say sorry to you. Last time..."

"Shut up!" Edith interrupted Colin's next words.

"Uh..." Colin touched his head, not knowing what to say.

After a pause, Colin asked what he had been thinking about, "What's your name?"

Edith glanced at Colin, and when Colin thought she wouldn't answer, she said, "Edith."

"Hello." Colin stretched out his right hand.

Colin habitually wanted to shake hands with Edith.

Edith took a step back, "Want to take advantage of me again?" She thought to herself.

Seeing that Edith had no intention of shaking hands, Colin had to rub his hands and said, "It's quite cold, sit down," and then sat down first.

Edith walked around and sat down across the small fire from Colin.

On a quiet night, someone talking to her instantly made her feel much more comfortable. Although Edith didn't want to pay much attention to Colin, it was better to have someone accompany her than to be alone.

"Were you also randomly assigned here?" Colin said for no reason.

"Yeah."

"Where are your teammates? Haven't you contacted them?"

"Yeah."

Seeing Edith's low spirits, Colin also felt a little embarrassed, so he simply took out the dried meat he carried with him, strung it on the big sword, and roasted it on the small fire.

The dried meat didn't have much moisture to begin with, so Colin didn't dare to roast it for too long, just to heat it up, and then he held the sword and left the fire.

"Do you want to eat it?" Colin handed a piece of dried meat to Edith.

"...Yeah." Edith took the dried meat.

After taking a bite, she remembered that she seemed to have forgotten something, "Thank you."

"You're not that cool? I thought you would just say um, um." Colin thought to himself.

Seeing Edith start to eat the dried meat in small bites, Colin didn't say anything more, and started to tear the dried meat, eating a piece in a few bites.

He picked up the water bottle beside him and took another gulp. Ah, there was no water.

Colin raised his head and shook the kettle. Finally, only one drop of water dripped into Colin's mouth. Colin smacked his lips, as if it was gone before he swallowed it.

"Puff."

Looking at Colin's funny look, Edith finally laughed.

Colin turned his head and looked at Edith, "Well, you look really good when you laugh, like..." Colin thought.
