The witch's rebirth

Then out of no way, March pounce onto me. Her hands taking my hands. Locking onto me. Trapping me.

"Minx" she hissed, "Immoral dark."

The truth burns, she finally saw me for what I was and my secrets were laid bare. I too have the sight but it had many limitations but with the spell I tap into hers.

I was in for a big surprised, she had a few dark secrets. The war has started, they were going to targeting the elite eight in a month's time. Knight and his mate were on the list. No one else on the council was safe, it would be a masquerade killing everyone, children and mates none would be spared. This would be only the beginning of many tragedies to come. It was sooner than in my past life. There was almost nothing that could be done to stop this. I just had to prepare for a counter when the time is right.

Lady of the lake was the first victim of this war. They wanted something symbolize and by using the skin of an elf princess they've achieve it.

Looking into March. I saw a few answers I was looking for, the mirror and the stone was critical to my coming of age. The other secrets I've discover is my father was an immortal. My parents, their marriage was not a true mating and he had to move back home to take over the family business and duties. Apparently he had a title and so would I if I survived the change as they called it, then blackness pulled over me.

Wrap in warm muscular arms I woke with Knight's body shielding me from the world. I ran my hands over his skin tried to see it this was another illusion of my dream.

"Feels good," he mumbled.

I couldn't speak.

"Hey, you okay." He nuzzled just below my ear. "You passed out after March looked at you."

"It's nothing."

"Tell me,"

"I saw things. The war but you already knew that didn't you?"

"She's working with them. Your aunts are having trouble seeing. We don't know why but so far the angles that we have are point to a mole from the inside."

"Any clue?"

"They thought it was you." he said quietly.

The content bliss I had woken up was gone, my heart broke. I could make a scene but we didn't want that so I held my tongue. It hurt.

"How could they?"

"Phi couldn't find you for a week. They thought the worst but once you've return they still were blind. Only recently that the stars have change." He explained.

"They can see?"

"A few people and their futures, the lady was one of them. Her death was inevitable. I think it's why the knights took time to warm up to you."

"They haven't warmed to me. I'm thinking of letting all of them go."

"Why would you do that?"

"It's not like I need them. They can just set up an agency and run themselves."

"You must stay safe, if you do that I will send men over."said Knight his tone was very serious,
