The witch's rebirth

The will was read. It happened the same as in my last life but this time there was no grandmother to pressure me into giving up my inheritance. Diana was the Yoit heiress and grandmother made that clear to all, she made my life so miserable that I gave up.

Grandpa was different. He was fair. I had Yoit blood running in my veins. It was over a hundred years later that I learn what a good man he was and what should have happened.

"Diana?" I asked,

"You really have the guts to show up after what you did to grandma?" she asked,

Diana at the moment was beautiful. To her right was her current boyfriend, Drake the dragon. I remember him for his heroic death months from now. He died trying to seal a portal. He saved Diana life.

"Drake as a council senator. Wise." I asked, "Do you think I did anything wrong?"

It looks could kill I'd be dead.

"Hush," said Ms. Kim, "I hope you will play the game."

I paused. The day Diana died I learn about the secret to the Yoit line. Our bloodline could be activated with potions and training. I didn't need the potions or the training as I knew them. Hell, I even unlock more blood secret than my grandpa and Diana combined.

Truthfully, I could just give her the Yoit heritage. I just didn't think it was fair. Taking into consideration that by activating the Yoit bloodline, it'll help cover some of my weakness including the lack of magic power.

"Diana, Grey did the right thing," said Drake,

Diana looked at him as if she couldn't believe it. He had sided with me instead of her. This was not earning him any brownie points.

Hell, it'll land him in the dog house. A strong scent of blood touch my senses and I looked. She was marked. Diana was a competent modern woman that didn't need a man. I've never seen her without one but then again they change very often. Drake had probably been stupid to try and claim her so soon, and she was resisting it hard.

I looked at Diana and a though came up.

"Hey if we negotiate something out would the will be valid?" I asked Ms. Kim,

"Yes,"

So I turn to Diana and said " Want to make a deal?"

There was a long paused.

She was interested but thought she could win. It would seem I need to do something.

"How about this, clear grandma name and find the real culprit in three months. If you can do that you can take it all." I said looking into Diana's eyes,

This was a good deal for me. If Diana win's I have one less enemy to worry about and if she loses I'd have potions and power to fight my enemy. It suck for Diana but she had a big bad dragon protecting her. It's moment like this that I wish I had a strong powerful mate like Knight at my side.
