Episode 13. New BM

After clapping for a while, I sighed in admiration once again at the author’s ‘design’.

In fact.

The main reason I had been following this comic― ‘Erin’s journey to becoming a saint’― was practically over when I donated 100,000 won a while ago to change the scripture and alter history.

She had already become a saint, and she could hear my voice anytime, so what was the point of spending more money?

So, I thought there wouldn’t be any need to donate a large sum like 100,000 won for a while.

A simple miracle within a reasonable range could be achieved with a 1,000 won punch.

I did make small donations hoping that Erin would be recognized and do well as a saint, but that was it.

Considering the labor of drawing the comic, a 1,000 won punch wouldn’t have been profitable from the author’s perspective.

But what if they had drawn a meteor and said, ‘If you don’t donate, the meteor will fall and Erin will die! It takes XX million won to get rid of the meteor! Please donate to save Erin!’ and induced high-value donations?

Even I would have been turned off by such an unreasonable development and stopped donating and reading the comic. Of course, this work had already lost its coherence from the moment I became a god, but still, it would have been annoying if a meteor fell while I was deeply immersed.

The author, being an over-immersion expert, would surely know what I know.

So, they introduced a new character!

Characters who would face trials requiring divine blessings— no, donations— once again!

New BM!

I never imagined I would think of a term like that while reading a comic.

Just then, a timely chat arrived from the author.

[PleaseGiveMoney: Here is a short comic with a brief story about the two Holy Knight candidates. ]

[ PleaseGiveMoney : zxcwww.wo.to <<< Linea von Einsberg / wwdzxw.wo.to <<< Ophelia Transrente ]

[ PleaseGiveMoney: Please check and appoint the knight you want as the Holy Knight! ]

They don’t force donations right away.

But once I appoint a Holy Knight, ‘donation-worthy’ events will start popping up one by one, just like they did with Erin!

Still, well… to be honest, I liked harem novels. The more heroines there were, the better. Wouldn’t that be a good thing?

I felt a little sorry for Erin, but since I was the holy knight who would protect her, it wouldn’t be bad for her if I cherished her, right?

‘Are you seriously thinking that a comic character might feel hurt?’

Swoosh!

Feeling a chill run down my spine, I gulped down a cup of cold water.

The author is a scary guy…!!

[ Igogodon: Hahaha, you designed the new BM well ]

[ PleaseGiveMeMoney: New BM? What do you mean… ]

[ PleaseGiveMeMoney: I’m just expressing the changing world view through comics with Igogodon’s support ]

[ Igogodon: Well, if the author says so, then it must be so ]

[ Igogodon: The author is the god of the world ]

[ PleaseGiveMeMoney: Oh my… Igogodon, please be careful with your words ]

[ PleaseGiveMeMoney: I’m just an observer, and the only god of this world is Igogodon ]

Ugh, I shouldn’t engage further.

Instead of engaging, I checked the comic link the author sent.

Thinking, ‘He’s thorough in his preparation, organizing it separately in a link…’

* * *

‘Hoo.’

Finished reading the short comic.

To summarize these two characters:

First, Ophelia Transrente.

A typical female knight character with devout faith and excellent swordsmanship, and a very cool way of speaking.

She dreams of becoming a knight and has the talent for it. Her long red hair and the size of her knight’s pouch were also perfect.

I liked red-haired, big-breasted female knights, so I wanted to give extra points for her hair color and figure.

After the saint was born, instead of following her solid career path, she immediately said, ‘I will dedicate and devote everything to the only god, Igogodon,’ proving her sincerity, which was satisfying.

Her biggest problem was that she was a bit of an airhead.

She was slightly out of sync with common sense and seemed like the type who would easily get scammed, making me want to help her. Isn’t that a common cliché?

If I chose Ophelia, it would be fun to pat her head and make her the best knight, even though she wasn’t very bright.

There might be some unintended good outcomes along the way, leading to typical but enjoyable misunderstandings like, ‘Ophelia, did you foresee this would happen…?!’

Some might find it childish, but since I liked such stories, I wanted to give extra points for this too.

The next character I checked was Linea von Einsberg.

Originally, she wanted to become a magician, but realizing she had no talent, she walked the path of the sword.

She had long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes symbolizing the royal family. I thought her face was prettier than Ophelia’s, perhaps because of the effort put into the artwork.

The only downward was that her bust was slightly smaller compared to Ophelia’s… but still, those who prefer a balanced figure might favor her more.

Judging from the content of the story, choosing Linea seemed to be politically advantageous for Erin and the religious community.

Rather than having two massive powers constantly clashing, it would be politically wise to compromise and coexist within a reasonable range.

The biggest problem was that Linea’s faith was not particularly strong.

The only reason she aimed to become a holy knight was one thing: “The royal family needs to have influence within the church.”

In fact, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she was a character of tragic fate, sold to the church by the royal family.

Throughout the manga, she emphasized her lack of faith by saying things like, [God doesn’t exist. Without relying on such things, I have to overcome trials on my own.]

If you choose Linea, you might enjoy the fun of ‘corrupting her faith’ through sponsorship.

As miracles happen one by one before her eyes, at first, she tries to dismiss them as mere coincidences, but—

As miracles pile up, and finally, something happens that can’t be explained without the existence of God, and she finds herself saved by it?

Faith corruption!

Wouldn’t she become the most devout holy knight and adore me?

A situation where you would want to sponsor anyone you choose!

Just in case they didn’t appeal to me, they seemed to have maxed out the knight’s and princess’s busts!

‘I really like how their intentions are so obvious.’

Whether their intentions were obvious or not wasn’t a significant issue.

In fact, what concerned me wasn’t the two characters, but someone else.

[Igogodon: I’ve seen it all]

[ Igogodon: Both are pretty.. hehe ]

[ GiveMeMoney: Is that so? I’m really relieved. I was worried because the women chose seemed to suit your taste, Igogodon. ]

Women who seemed to suit his taste were chosen.

Clearly intentional, yet his words were shamelessly brazen.

[Igogodon: But I have a question]

[ GiveMeMoney: Please, go ahead, Igogodon. ]

As the author said, both new characters were sufficiently attractive—

Nevertheless, there was one undeniable fact.

[ Igogodon: Cecilia brought three photos, right? ]

From noble mtl dot com

[Lee Guo-guodun: But why do both Cecilia and you only emphasize and introduce two people? ]

[Lee Guo-guodun: Is there any reason for that? ]

Yes.

The photo that Cecilia brought to Erin, saying ‘She is a candidate for the Holy Knight,’ clearly had three people – that is, three candidates.

It meant that there was a third candidate who was neither Ophelia nor Linnea.

But both the author and the characters in the story only mentioned the two candidates, ignoring the third one.

Erin didn’t even look at the photo and just prayed to me, so that’s understandable, but shouldn’t someone mention it?

Honestly, it wasn’t a complete mystery.

I thought I would understand why it wasn’t mentioned to me once I checked the photo.

Just an ordinary black ponytail tied roughly with a plain ribbon, ordinary features. A moderately sized chest.

Unlike the two characters in flashy, pretty, and chest-emphasizing armor, she wore plain armor with no special features.

A background character.

That was the word that suited her the most.

Maybe the comic wasn’t drawn in advance?

[ Give me some money : Well… ]

[Give me some money: If you want to check it, I can certainly show it to you]

[Give me some money: But it might take some time to observe, is that okay? ]

Does that mean the comic isn’t ready?

I suddenly felt lazy and thought about just choosing one of the two…

‘No.’

Considering the dialogue of the characters in the story, being selected as a candidate for the Holy Knight itself should be a kind of achievement, wouldn’t it be too unfair if I, acting like a god, didn’t check it?

I laughed at my excessive immersion, but I decided not to care about it anymore.

[ Lee Guo Guo Dian : Okay, send it ]

[Give me some money: Alright. I’ll be right back. Please wait a moment. ]

Huh? Please wait a moment?

I thought it would only be possible the next day if they were drawing the comic anew.

Surprisingly, the author sent the link in just 10 minutes.

[ Please give me some money : axcqwz.wo.to <<< Here it is. ]

‘What? Was it drawn in advance?’

Then why didn’t they show it together?

Something felt a bit off… but that feeling was quickly developed by my curiosity and vanished without a trace.

I carefully clicked on the link to the comic that depicted information about the third female knight, whom no one had mentioned.
