In a desolate, circular room, iron chains and shackles hung on the walls. In the center stood the final boss of the first level of the Skull Dungeon: a towering skeleton wielding a broken greatsword, a Skeleton Warrior.

The scene and setup were quite atmospheric, and the Skeleton Warrior's stats were also impressive, representing a significant leap from the ordinary Skeletons and Skeleton Soldiers wandering the first level.

But for some reason, it didn't inspire much pressure in Xiao Yang.

Having cleared the hidden area, braved the Zombie Corridor, and even witnessed a complete Elite boss, the Skeleton Warrior simply wasn't as intimidating to Xiao Yang anymore.

Thus, this attempt came about. It wasn't entirely satisfying, and ultimately, Xiao Yang decided to retreat and revert to his original plan.

His weapon was just too weak.

Xiao Yang found it difficult to fight this Skeleton Warrior Knight. The Wild Short Axe, with its six points of damage, barely scratched the boss, only managing to chip away one point of health with its forced hit.

And if he tried to circle the boss like he did with the Skeleton Warriors before, darting around like a nimble monkey, the Skeleton Warrior's Agility was simply too high.

Although there was still a five-point difference in Agility between them.

But still, while he *could* fight it, it wouldn't be easy, and the margin for error was too small. It would be better to wait until he had five points of Strength and equipped the Blackrock Prison set before trying again.

At that point, he would probably be able to directly crush the Skeleton Warrior.

Better to play it safe.

And so, Xiao Yang slowly retreated from the boss room. The Skeleton Warrior in the circular prison wanted to chase after Xiao Yang, but it was restrained by the thick iron chains binding it.

Clearly, some restrictions had been placed on this gatekeeper boss. It couldn't be truly unleashed until Xiao Yang actually entered the arena.

And so, Xiao Yang left without engaging the boss.

Alright, now things were back to a stalemate. He still needed to wait. In these past few days of fighting, Xiao Yang and Little Bone, one man and one skeleton, had practically cleared the entire first level of the dungeon with just a newbie axe.

During these days, Xiao Yang took some time to return to the Zombie Prison. The familiar rumbling of wheels, Xiao Yang was still being chased around by the Bone Ball.

The Zombie Prison was now empty. Apart from a few prisoners crammed into extremely crowded cells, there was practically nothing moving in this area that Xiao Yang could explore.

Xiao Yang returned to the Zombie Prison to make sure that the corpse mushroom he had dug out was still there. From afar, carefully, Xiao Yang saw the tip of the mushroom peeking out from the dirty storage room.

It was still there, which put Xiao Yang at ease.

On the day before the second Interdimensional Trade, bored, Xiao Yang turned his attention to the Prisoner Zombies he had previously overlooked, pulling out the overcrowded Prisoner Zombies one by one to farm.

After farming these Prisoner Zombies, Xiao Yang returned to the surface dungeon, back to the initial safe room, and collapsed onto a pile of junk.

Xiao Yang decided to bring more items to the Interdimensional Trade this time, especially the gold coins that had sold for a high price last time and some of the items he had collected that might be considered antiques.

Hopefully, there would be a kind Dragon Girl to buy up his goods again!

This time, Xiao Yang was even prepared to enter the boss room and hack at the boss with his six-point-damage Wild Short Axe. But still, it was because there were fewer skeletons, and therefore fewer materials to drop. After all, during the last trade, the bulk of his Spirit Coins came from those green-quality Skeleton Femur.

But now that the skeletons had all been farmed, he had only managed to get five or six green Femurs.

This time, his main product should be the excellent-quality Zombie Flesh Boots, and oh right, also a white-quality Heavy Blow Skill Scroll.

Because of his concerns about the lack of goods, Xiao Yang had saved this Heavy Blow Skill Scroll.

Since entering the Skull Dungeon, Xiao Yang had twice been struck by the fact that the monsters in the Skull Dungeon didn't seem to respawn like in a game.

Once was when he first entered the dungeon, when he cautiously cleared out the skeletons that would suddenly crawl out of the ground, and thankfully noted that the monsters didn't respawn like in a game.

And again now, as he looked at the empty Skull Dungeon with concern, and sadly lamented why the monsters didn't respawn like in a game?

Of course, it wasn't necessarily that they wouldn't respawn, it was likely just that he needed to wait a while longer.

Suddenly, he had some free time. In this rare moment of leisure, Xiao Yang found himself suddenly feeling homesick. Of course, in reality, he wasn't far from his home, just down a corridor.

Of course, going back wouldn't be so easy. Not for any complicated reason, but simply because there was a terrifying skeleton dragging a giant axe, wandering back and forth in the corridor, ready to chop down anyone who entered it.

Honestly, he felt that the reason he was dragged into this Skull Dungeon was strange enough: forced to enter a Skull Dungeon full of monsters and undead because of cleaning the basement, and then becoming a player in the God's Game.

In this sudden pause, Xiao Yang, lying on the pile of junk, thought randomly.

Meanwhile, a small figure appeared silently sometime ago, squatting in the corner of the safe room, not making a sound, just silently watching Xiao Yang lying against the pile of junk, the Soulfire in its eye sockets flickering.

It must be said that this is truly a rare moment of leisure!
