Is it Okay if I Leave it Like This? (5)

Groowll-

The tension was relieved and I was hungry. My stomach rumbled like thunder. Merson, of course, felt the cries of the beggars in my stomach.

“There’s a lot of food too.”

“Merson, run.”

We arrived at the party venue in no time. The upbeat music set the mood. The villagers took a seat between the tables and danced in circles to the music.

The village chief was also stuck there. Because of how popular he was, Grandma Lette, Aunt Cretta, and Aunt Aja and the uncles and the grandfathers each wanted to dance with the village chief. A smile appeared on the village chief’s face, which had been gray for several days.

A flower path on the floor and a pretty light fixture on top of his head brightened the surroundings. It was like a scene from a fairy tale. It’s something I’m not familiar with, but it was beautiful to see the villagers rolling their feet and dancing happily. Without time to think about anything else, I looked at it and put it in my eyes.

“Young couple! Where have you been?”

“Oh my, why is the young bride looking like that? Did you roll on dung?”

I couldn’t see myself, but when I heard those words, it was definitely not normal. I pulled out the pocket I had kept in my arms.

“Merson, let’s go to the village chief.”

The village chief greeted Merson with a smile, but when he saw me carried by him, he was terrified. Well… it’s more than I thought.

I handed over the pocket without hesitation.

“It’s my gift to wish for your recovery.”

“What is this?”

When the village chief looked at it awkwardly, Aunt Aja quickly grabbed it from the middle. Oh, a quick intercept.

“Hey! Isn’t it mulcho? How did you get this precious thing?”

“I risked my life to save the village chief.”

The name was ‘Mulcho’. I just found out from Aunt Aja and she said that she was going to start making the medicine right away, so she brought it. The village chief also heard the name of the herb and looked at me in amazement.

“Hey! It’s all right!”

“I didn’t see the young bride looking for it. You worked hard.”

The story of Mulcho spread, and the villagers uttered words of admiration. Proud and shyness came rushing in at the same time, and I hid behind Merson’s back.

As I remembered the village chief’s smile, the corners of my lips rose too. It was scary, but I’m glad it went well.

While the villagers danced again with excitement, I filled my stomach while examining the food on the table.

“Merson, give me that.”

“Yes.”

“And the skewer next to it.”

“Yes.”

“Let’s go eat that fruit over there.”

“Yes.”

Merson took the food with a fork and gave it to his back, and I just moved my mouth and ate it. I was full after trying all the food at least three times.

At that moment, Uncle Grans’s performance changed unusually. Like announcing today’s 1st place is…..?! Tension circulated with a sound effect.

When the low-pitched music suddenly became louder and became a signal, Merson snapped his fingers with a ‘tak!’. Over the high sky, the stars disappeared, and colorful fireworks fell on it.

The village chief’s eyes seemed to pop out. Even the villagers cheered and couldn’t take their eyes off the sky.

Tak!

With one more bounce, the flower-shaped fireworks that Grandma Lette had emphasized so much lit up the sky. I could hear Grandma Lette’s laughter like a girl. Uncle Grans also stopped playing for a moment and looked at the flames of five colors falling over his face.

“Pretty.”

Peace, happiness.

It was a night where these two words fit very well. I hugged Merson deeply. That precious firework never stopped because of Merson.

The music rang again, and the villagers enjoyed the fireworks and enjoyed today’s party. I was the first to leave the party after confirming that the smile did not leave the village chief’s face. It’s because I’ve used up all my stamina for the past few days to find the mulcho, and I’m exhausted.

When I got home, Merson immediately prepared a bath water for me. I staggered over and took a dip. It was a shabby wooden bathtub, but now I feel that there is no other high-end hot spring.

As the warm water spreads all over the body, the body relaxes. I remained as still as a plaster statue with my mouth immersed in water. By the way.

“Aren’t you going out?”

Merson tilted his head as if asking what it was. Now, I’m not ashamed of being naked, but it’s embarrassing for him to be staring at me like now.

I splashed some water on Merson with a light gesture. Splash, go out. Don’t look at a woman while she’s washing herself.

Merson wiped the water off his face with the back of his hand. His feet didn’t even move.

As if in a staring contest, we stared at each other silently.

Go.

No.

Go!

Don’t want to!

In the end, I turned my back on Merson, who seemed unwilling to go. Because the back is less embarrassing than the front.

My ankles stick out because of the size of the bathtub, which is too small to stretch my legs. It was pitiful to see the puffy redness. I put my leg back into the water for a massage, but suddenly my ankle was caught and it was lifted up.

“Kyaak!”

Merson strode over and grabbed my foot.

“What, what?!”

“I will do it for you”

“No thanks?!”
