Is there always so many beauties in the capital city? (8) – unedited

After a while, light shone over my closed eyes, and I felt the commotion around me. As I slowly opened my eyes, I saw his firm chest.

“It’s  there. It’s the capital.”

“What?”

As I was staring at his face, confused, the bell rang loudly.

I looked towards the sound and saw the clock tower towering over the distant wall we were standing on. Ivory-colored bricks were stacked on top of each other, but strangely, it was clean without a single stain.

Gold decorations reminiscent of dragons wrapped around the tower, so it seemed as if the street was lit up by the clock tower alone without any lighting. It was a symbol of the capital, Trencia, and a meeting place for everyone.

“That clock tower…….”

It matched perfectly what was described in the book. Wow! If there is a successful fan, wouldn’t it be me?

Important scenes in the novel took place under this clock tower. The emperor who kneeled and confessed to Serdebella, the scene where Serdebella declared that no one should seek her anymore, saying that she did not want to see people quarreling because of her, or… The scene where the Demon King Kaylehartz was reunited with Serdebella again.

“Maybe you can meet.”

“Who?”

“Che, Chenin, of course, who else?”

I patted Merson’s chest for nothing. By the way, was teleporting a way to avoid rain and get to the capital quickly?

I placed a hand on Merson’s cheek. Raindrops drip on the tips of his hair.

“… Magic?”

“It’s still okay.”

I’m worried about the number of times he uses magic these days. I pulled Merson’s head toward me and directed it towards me.

“Come here.”

I kissed him, thinking that it would fill the emptiness by giving him my energy for a while. Conversely, my strength is sucked away, but it doesn’t really matter since he would be holding me anyway. His lips, which I thought would be cold, were as hot as if they had been heated in a brazier, and I was surprised inside.

Our lips rubbed against each other and the tongues poked out. It was an infinitely soft kiss, neither harsh nor coercive. Saliva dripped from between our lips, indistinguishable from who’s it belonged. Merson licked up even that and constantly looked for my lips.

“Heup… Now, stop.”

Merson’s eyes were wet with desire, as if it was disappointing. As I stubbornly shook my head, I pulled my face away after slapping my lips on his forehead once.

As we got out on the main road, the rain got stronger and stronger. A large number of people came and went to the circular square that was so huge that it could not be compared with Sezaine’s single street.

The elegant carriages of unknown nobles did not look boring, and there were many people running here and there to avoid the rain. The merchants rushed to set up tents to prevent the items placed in front of the store from getting wet by the rain or to bring them in.

But when Merson and I went into the middle of the square, the people who were doing their own thing stopped moving and looked at us without blinking. Well, yes. To be precise, they looked at Merson.

The small windows on the carriage made a sound and opened all at once. The ladies in it stared at Merson’s face. The girl carrying a fruit basket made noises such as “Oh my,” “I have never seen black hair before,” and even dropped oranges at her feet.

People who had been mesmerized by Merson’s perfect and handsome appearance turned their attention to me in his arms.

“What is that garbage?”

What? There must be more than one or two people like Chenin here. I turned my head to look at it and saw a lady with her neck out and looking at us. Ma’am, it’s raining. Go inside please.

Eventually, out of great interest, I raised the white flag. I couldn’t stay in the rain all the time, so I wanted to get out of this street and stop by even at a shabby inn.

“Merson, let’s get some accommodation first.”

Merson nodded and moved away. The gazes that followed were still very uncomfortable. If you have spare time, get Chenin for me instead.

As the capital of the country, the inn was not difficult to find. It was difficult not to know the market price, but it was not that I had no money at all, so I headed to the first inn I saw without hesitation.

“Let’s go to that place we can see in front of us.”

“Kyaaak—!”

It was the moment when our destination was decided. A slender woman’s scream echoed from behind. I could feel Merson’s body twitch and harden through my body.

My gaze naturally rose to Merson’s face. Behind Merson’s back, a woman’s voice continued as she struggled to see a small quarrel was going on.

It was strange. To find out what was causing this commotion, what was going on, or whether she needed help if she was in danger, I had to look beyond Merson’s face rather than looking at Merson’s face. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him.

Red eyes that I never thought were black gave off a dark light. It was a dark red color that had descended heavily.

“Leave it.”

It was a soft yet strong voice. Even though I had only heard one word, I knew it. That there is a solid frame between the fine voice. If he could sing a song with this ecstatic voice, I thought I would be able to get drunk without alcohol.

Merson didn’t look back, nor did he head to the inn. He just stood there, nailed to the ground, staring into the distance.

I had no idea what he was looking at. So my heart felt strange. Like thousands of needles piercing my heart. Faced with Merson’s feelings I didn’t know, the accident seemed to have stopped.

I stroked Merson’s thick forearm with my palm. He puts his face down on my hand. Raindrops dripped down his straight forehead, condensed on the tip of his sharp nose, and fell on my cheek. Merson rubbed his cheek against my face and squashed the rainwater.
