This Time, It's Forever

Dylan was having a nap at their backyard to catch up some sleep for the past few weeks. Not long he can feel something dribbling on his face before splotch. He woke up to find Layla with her hands covered with mud giggling and ran away with her tiny wobbly legs to the other side of the house. He can guess it's the same mud that's got smudge on his face or more likely splash. Now that his kids got their legs, they start to terrorize the house. Usually, only Lyla could handle their mischievous. One word from her they will scramble and act innocently. At the moment, Lyla was busy in the kitchen and she told him to nap at their backyard while she went cooking. The triplets are supposed to be under Braxton's watch. That guy have been living in his house like it was his family home when he actually have a house nearby. But according to that guy, he misses the triplets so much and have a hard time to sleep thus he begged Lyla to let him live with them. Lyla agreed only because he's useful when they're busy. And at this moment, he was suppose to look after the triplets and he was nowhere in sight. He got up and headed towards to the place Layla ran off to only to feel headache coming. The triplets seem to find a puddle of mud and decided to dive themselves in there. Braxton is still nowhere to be found. He frowned.

"Uncle ran off before Daddy came." Layla answered still grinning widely.

"Really?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Yup, he went to hide." Ryan added.

"And do you know where's he's hiding?"

"If i tell Daddy, will Daddy tell mommy?" This time, Aiden asked.

"Do you think i should tell your mommy?"

"But uncle Braxton said if i tell daddy where he hides, he will tell mommy that we're playing in the mud." Aiden said again.

"And do you think you can hide it from mommy?" All three of them shook their head.

"And do you know you're wrong?" This time they nodded.

"Do you know what to do now?"

"Say sorry and promise not to do it again." Unitedly they answer.

"Do you know why?"

"Because it will be trouble mommy." Layla said timidly. He can see she's starting to pout.

"And when it troubles mommy?"

"Daddy will take mommy away." After saying that, Ryan started to cry loudly. Following Ryan, it was Layla. Her crying reminded him the time she was pregnant with them. Only Aiden seem to be decent since he only kept quite besides looking sad.

"Hubby. Could you stop threatening them?" Lyla popped out of nowhere and glared at her husband. Realizing that their mommy is there, all three of them start running towards her. Before any of them reach her, once again Dylan's voice stopped their action.

"I'll take her away if you hug her with your dirty hands and clothes." All three of them didn't dare to continue forward. Instead they look at Lyla with their big round eyes. Although they didn't inherit her two colored eyes but they still took after hers and Dylan's eye. Aiden has blue eyes, Layla with her dark black eyes and Ryan with his purple eye.

"Mommy..." Layla only smile and crouch in front of them.

"Go and take a bath and clean up. After you guys clean i'll give you hugs and kisses." She pat all their head and they happily ran inside the house to do what their mother told. All the giggling and laughing makes Lyla a contented woman. Dylan came over and hug her from behind not forgetting to give little kisses on her face making her laugh even more.

"Are you trying to make me forget that you threaten my treasure hubby?"

"More like telling the children i love you more than i love them."

"But they're still kids hubby. They're only 1 years old."

"Doesn't feel like they're 1 years old. They started talking earlier than other kids and can easily manipulate and trick their useless godfather. I don't see them as 1 years old kid." He rebutted.

"Well, that's because their mother is a genius and their father is the King." Lyla turned her head and look at the pouting guy behind her. He never really like it if she keeps on taking side on their children. Often he would get jealous and took her away from their children leaving Braxton and Jake to take care of them.

"Where's Braxton anyway? I thought he would be taking care of them while you're napping." She asked when she didn't see Braxton anywhere.

"He's hiding. Knowing he's in the wrong. He should be fired already."

Bang!!!

"What the hell Dylan!!! Since when i'm working for you as a babysitter? I'm the CEO of a great company. No one can hired nor fired me." Braxton open the door to storage looking angry after hearing what Dylan said just now.

"Oh, i thought you're our babysitter since you've been living like one." Dylan grinned. He will never miss the chance to annoyed this friend of his.

"Curse you!!! I was helping you guys and that's why i moved here so it will be easier to have a small meeting if i ever encounter something important. But i didn't expect you would make me take care of those hooligans while you took Lyla to another honeymoon. You're not supposed to be in your honeymoon state during this time." Thinking how they keep on using him and he stupidly agree to take care of the kids he somehow felt lost.

"Hubby, can you stop teasing him. It's enough he dedicate his bachelor life to us. Once he's old, we need to be take care of him since he won't be as handsome as right now which lead him dying single of old age." With the words coming out of Lyla's, Braxton felt like throwing up blood. His inner anger cannot be suppressed.

"That's not good. You should find someone for him so that he won't bother us."

"Who's dying single of old age??? Damn it. Don't you dare to mess my private life and who said i dedicate my bachelor life to you guys? I still enjoy my single night life with different girls."

"I have triplets."

"..." He could never win. He can accept his fate to be bullied by these two. Just why did i kidnap Lyla back then? If i didn't do such a thing, they wouldn't be able to bully me.

"Enough of that. We've been invited. And Lyla's invited also." Braxton word makes Dylan tense. Sensing her husband changes, she look at his dark face and instantly knew it was related to that family. Although she and Dylan were the one operating LHD but no one knows about her involvement because she never show her face. She only work from home when she's done with her restaurant. Then why is it her name was also included and how did they know about her. Is this one of Claudia's trick? She couldn't figure out neither Dylan and Braxton. Dylan only kept quite but his tense body makes Lyla knew he's not happy with the invitation.
