I wanted to write this yesterday, but I hesitated and put it off until today. (I was planning to write a 500,000-word thank you, but I just wrote it together with the year-end thank you)

Let me start with the more important things. I probably won't be able to keep updating three chapters a day like this, because the impact of the frequent updates on Tomato's income is minimal, and there are not many rewards now. The remuneration for updating two chapters a day and three chapters a day is almost the same, but the degree of fatigue is much greater...

I remember that this book has been updating three chapters a day since it was less than 200,000 words and is about to reach 500,000 words. To be honest, the gifts now are only a dozen yuan a day, which is far from the 100 gifts plus one update I set before. Later, I have been updating three chapters a day unconditionally. Of course, the fundamental reason for the small gifts is that my writing is relatively bland and boring, so I have no complaints, but it will be more and more tiring if I continue to update three chapters a day.

Let's take a very simple example. For example, if I write 4,000 words a day on average, 120,000 words a month, and if I write a book with 1 million words, then it will take about 8 months to complete it if I write twice a day. . And if I write 6,000 words three times a day, and I wrote 200,000 words last month, then it will take 5 months to complete it.

When the income of 4k a day and 6k a day is almost the same, the former earns 3 months more than the latter, which means that the latter will lose 3 months of royalties. It is no exaggeration to say that this will lose tens of thousands.

But I know that my writing pace is very slow, so I still gritted my teeth and wrote three times a day for nearly two months, not caring about whether I lost money or not, in order to quickly rush to the node of nearly 500,000 words, which happens to be the plot node of "Xiao Expelling War". This plot will be relatively exciting (of course, my level is limited and I may not write it particularly exciting, I can only say that I try my best), so that the whole book is not so boring to read.

So at this point, my motivation is not enough to support me to update three times a day unconditionally. Next, I will return to the normal two updates a day. Sometimes I may update more depending on the situation, such as gifts. (During the "Owl Expulsion War" node, I will try to update three times. After the "Owl Expulsion War" is over, I can only update twice.)

In short, this is the update. Then I feel that there is nothing much to say about the plot and shortcomings of this book. I have said almost everything in the previous comments. In the end, it is actually my limited level. Since I came to Tomato, I have never been bad. I have been writing part-time while going to school for 24 years. Even so, I have written a full 2 million words, and I have tried my best to write the endings of the first three fan books.

But because of the problem of level, there are always various problems such as "writing collapse", "water writing", "poison points", etc. I have tried my best to improve them. I really have no way to limit my level.

....................

Then I want to talk about the rating. Tomato changed the rating mechanism several times in the second half of 2024. I noticed it when I wrote the last book "Zhan Mei". New books with fewer words generally have low ratings.

I opened 4 new books on Tomato in 2024, which is considered to be quite diligent, so I can keenly notice these things.

This book currently has only 8.2 points, which is really low, but the overall data is actually better than any of my previous three books. I am talking about the data in terms of completion rate.

But the rating is the lowest. I now find that Tomato has changed the rating mechanism to focus on "reader ratings", that is, 1 to 5 stars. The previous rating mechanism was not much affected by "reader ratings", and it was mainly based on background data.

So my first two books "Chainsaw Man Double Kamuy" and "Ghoul Double Kamuy" easily rose to more than 9 points within a month or even half a month after the 100,000-word push, and were fixed at 9.3 and 9.4 points respectively. (The Chainsaw Man is jumping back and forth between 9.2 and 9.3 points now. It has been finished for several months. It has only started to jump back and forth recently because the scoring mechanism has changed. I wrote a feminine version of the character at that time, so it is easy to get bad reviews.)

On the other hand, the "Zhan Mei Shuang Shen Wei" I opened in the second half of the year, the score increased very slowly. It was only 8.5 points when it was finished with more than 300,000 words, but it quickly rose from 8.5 points to 9.0 points a few days after the completion. It may be because the completion is OK that a group of readers gave it 5 stars after the completion.

I think the 9.0 points of "Zhan Mei" are fine, because the overall data including the completion rate is indeed the worst among my four books. The completion rate of 100,000 words is only 22% (the completion rate means that from the first chapter to the chapter with 100,000 words, there are still 22% left). How many readers, for example, there are 10,000 readers in the first chapter, and there are 2,200 readers reading the 100,000-word chapter, so the completion rate is 22%)

The overall data of "Ghoul Double Kamuy" is much better than "Zanmei", and 9.4 points is reasonable. The data of "Chainsaw Man" is second only to "Ghoul Double Kamuy", so the score of 9.3 points is also reasonable.

But now this "Ghoul + Madara" is weird. Whether it is 100,000 words, 200,000 words or 300,000 words, the completion rate is much higher than that of "Ghoul Double Kamuy", but the score is only 8.2.

Don't rush to criticize me for being boring. Judging from the background data, this is indeed the best one. "Ghoul Double Kamuy" has a fast pace and is completed, so it has a better reputation, but the problem is that the pace is too fast, resulting in insufficient stamina, and it collapses after 300,000 words.

This "Ghoul + Madara" has a much stronger staying power, and the completion rate of each stage is also higher than that of "Ghoul Double Kamui". It's just that my level is not enough, and I wrote a boring water article with a slow pace, which led to many readers giving bad reviews, and the current score is very low.

I said so much because I hope that readers who see this will give 5 stars if they think it's okay, even if they don't comment and just give stars.

Of course, if you are worried that I will be a eunuch, then wait until I finish and then rate it, or change the score and criticize me at that time.

The main reason is that this 8.2 points looks a bit too ugly. Obviously, the overall data in the background is quite good, but I thought of writing a slow pace and made the score lower...

....................

Finally, let me talk about another reason why I will become twice a day in the future. The first reason has been explained above, and the second reason is that I plan to open two new books.

The final exam is about to end, and if I have enough time, I also plan to open another new book to increase my income. (I explained in the closing remarks of the previous book that I was responsible for my own tuition, food expenses, my brother's tuition, and my parents' debts... These were all borne by me alone. Younger readers may not understand, but older readers should know how bad the economy has been since the outbreak began, and there are very few families without debts)

The new book currently pending is the "One Punch Man" fanfiction, which is expected to be published in a few days. (The "Black Bullet" that I promised to write in the previous book cannot be written for the time being, because the income from this book is not low but not high enough to support my dual opening of "Black Bullet" such an unpopular subject)

Of course, dual opening of the new book will not affect the normal update of this book. I can guarantee that I will never abandon it. No matter how depressed the first three books were, I insisted on completing them. There is no reason to ruin my reputation with the fourth book. I attach great importance to this author account, not to mention that the fourth book "Ghoul" is actually much stronger than the first three books when they were depressed. (Thanks to this book's strong staying power, it failed with a slow pace, but it also succeeded with a slow pace)

Finally, I wish everyone a happy New Year again, and thank all the readers for their continued support until here!
