Chapter 114 Remarks on the launch
It’s on the shelves, let’s take a look at the convention.
As far as my own habits are concerned, not many readers will read the testimonials on the shelf. If they do, they are probably mainly die-hard fans and friends of the author.
So I also plan to write this speech in a creative direction.
But this doesn’t mean I won’t thank the general readers.
Thank you for your support. Whether you are ready to become a paying user or not, meeting us is fate.
Whether the results are good or bad, I will not blame readers for subscribing, because this market is obviously still able to survive a number of authors. If my works cannot survive, I can only say that there is a problem with my own creative positioning and creative content.
And if you put aside this frustration, from the perspective of my professional habits, I have to settle an account first.
I have written almost 180,000 words this month. Although this number of words is hard for a professional writer like me, it is not difficult.
Basically, my day's tasks, in addition to thinking about the plot, coding, revising and publishing, the more important focus is actually on taking care of my body, eating and sleeping.
For example, every day I do about 200 jump ropes, do 40 forehand and backhand exercises with a chest expander, and when the weather is nice, I also bask in the sun and go out for runs, basically night runs in the community in the early morning.
According to my eating habits, I increase my intake of protein, blueberry carotene, and B-complex every day, and occasionally use melatonin to adjust my sleep.
Because coding is a long-term job, if you can't take good care of your body, it will be very difficult to make 6,000 steady updates every day, plus additional modifications.
Maybe there are experts here at Qidian who can update 10,000, 20,000 or even more a day, but at least I can't do it here.
There are basic strains on the eyesight, wrists, and body. They are not serious, but if you are not careful, dry eye disease, tenosynovitis, and heart palpitations will come to your door and relapse one after another.
I jumped an extra 300 times in the past two days and didn't pay attention to protein supplements, so I developed tenosynovitis.
I rested for a long time, ate two eggs, and recovered.
Basically, my coding life is this slightly tight sense of balance.
About 2 days a month, I will fall into intermittent crises such as stuck, physical discomfort, sleep explosion, tired of watching, etc., and then I can still survive despite stumbling.
Sometimes, daily updates of 8,000 to 10,000 are not a problem, but this basically means that you will not have time to do other things, such as shopping for groceries and cooking. When you are single and have limited income, , and can’t code for 12 hours.
So before writing this novel, I did some calculations for myself.
Assuming that I can write 180,000 words a month, I can write 2.16 million words a year. In other words, if a reader subscribes to all my books, it will cost about 140 yuan a year, which is more than 10 yuan a month on average.
And the one that finally came into my hands was considered 70.
If I have 1,000 readers, my annual income can reach 70,000.
Not much, for me, it is enough in a short period of time, because I also have savings, and the pressure on life and mortgage loans can be calculated clearly.
If I have 2,000 readers, my annual income can reach 150,000. This salary level is almost the same as my previous job, but lower than the offer I get now, but after all, I am doing what I want to do. If this kind of income can remain stable, I can write this book until it is finished or the plot collapses.
Well, I don’t deny the possibility that the plot will collapse.
So, I asked myself, with an update volume of 2.16 million words, is it difficult to guarantee 2,000 subscriptions?
At least I don't think it's difficult.
Because the novels I wrote elsewhere have already reached the number of 2,200, and they have not yet been capped, but they crashed when I wrote them myself.
In the past few years, I have been thinking about how to create to ensure that the later stage is stable and completed, at least not unfinished or eunuch.
Now that I have an idea, I come back and start writing again.
However, now, it is already an era of "since no one can write long, let's compete with each other to see who is better in the early stage, get a batch and leave".
I am a very greedy person and always want to do the hardest and most correct thing.
Maybe I will pay the price for my greed, but I know that this is all my own choice.
Whether I fail or not, I can face myself.
Failure does not mean failure. Sometimes, we are afraid of failure.
But many times, failure is doomed.
If you want to try a new direction, if you want to do those difficult but right things, you have to face failure.
This is true for "The Old Man and the Sea", it is true for "Pride and Prejudice", it is true for my country's aerospace engines, and it is true for the chip and photovoltaic industries.
The more people try, the more likely one will succeed. Even if the successful person is not me, at least I tried for it.
I am willing to be the denominator, but unfortunately no one can explain my failure.
So I had to cover myself.
I hope that one day, society can develop to the point where there is a proper protection mechanism that will allow more people to have the courage to try new directions.
But before that, I'll take care of my own business.
I don’t want to draw the conclusion that I will be able to reach the goal of 2,000 average bookings in one year, or that it will be impossible.
I have long been accustomed to waiting and advancing work step by step.
I will try more and work harder to achieve my goal. Whether I can achieve it or not is not something I can decide.
Maybe I just lack a chance, maybe I just really can't do it.
But my life is not over yet, I am still on the road to the future.
I don’t want my epitaph to contain only a pale sentence——
[He tried to do something. 】
[But he ultimately failed to take a step forward. 】

As for the additional update, I still copied the Taoist priest from the time I entered the path of cultivating immortality.
If the first order exceeds 500, one update will be added. If there is more than one fan in the first week, one update will be added. If there is a leader, five updates will be added. For each additional order of 100, one update will be added.
Within one month of the new book being put on the shelves, 50 readers with monthly tickets (now with guaranteed monthly tickets) will receive 1 additional update, the leader will receive 1 update, the grandmaster will receive 2 updates, and the alliance leader will receive 5 updates.
10 updates for the Grand Alliance and 15 updates for the General Alliance.
An update is calculated as 2,000 words. When it is actually updated, it may be 2,000 to 4,000 words per chapter.
The maximum update limit per day is 10,000 words.
I estimate that since this book has only been recommended once, there won’t actually be many updates, tea.
.
Return to the city on February 2nd, and start on February 3rd, additional updates will be added as agreed.
