Lesson 14 Subject Selection
Lynn and Theo went to the Health Division of the Alfld Branch of the Magic Instructors Association to go through the scholarship process.
The rep was a nervous looking uncle wearing thick glasses and constantly narrowing his eyes.
"Mm-hmm. Now we have all the paperwork to submit."
He carefully reviews the documents while fine-tuning the glasses he is wearing.
"Those who pass the college exam will be suspended from paying off their scholarships for the next six years"
(Are you saying that debt repayment starts in six years' time now)
Theo circled his thoughts in his head as he listened to the explanation.
(It's tight to live paying off our debts on our salaries right now. You just want to graduate and get a better job in less than 6 years if possible)
"Having passed the college exam, you will not only have access to a loan system for apprentice magicians, but also a scholarship system for college students. Any costs necessary for schooling, such as tuition, textbook fees, and other tools used for classes, can be withdrawn from the scholarship. However…"
The person in charge glares at the two of them when he cuts the words there.
"The Magic Instructors Association uses any hand to recover the money it loaned. Whatever hands you use! Remember that in your liver."
Lynn and Theo, who followed the association, discussed the classes they would choose while looking at the subject requirements distributed, while returning to Renlil.
"That's a lot."
A significant number of classes were listed in the list of subject requirements. From "Spell Literature", "Light Magic Applications" and other seemingly magical classes, there were general education such as "Logic," "International Situation," "Tower History," and even maniac classes such as "The Ecology of the Nyoli Mimika" and "The Mystery of Ancient Ucitanian Inscriptions".
It ranged from free to charging for each subject, and Lynn didn't know what it was. Even the paid ones had various pricing ranging from 1000 to 1 million legicas.
"What are you basing this pricing on in the first place?
Theo looks surprisingly at the price section of the subject requirement.
"Oh, you have paid classes, too."
Lynn noticed that there were classes posted that generated salaries mixed with paid classes.
"Paid classes mean you get paid when you go to class? What the hell."
Lynn glances through the description of one of her paid classes, "Preliminary Teaching of Machinery."
"This class aims to acquire the knowledge necessary to become a high-end intelligence position, a mechanical demon mentor at the top of the tower. Traditionally, machines have been considered unnecessary as long as there is magic, but in the last few years it has been found that there are more efficient tasks left to machines than fairies and spirits. Take this class that you can also take from the elementary class in order to acquire the skills of a skilled magician who will surely be in increased demand in the future. Since work in this class includes requests from the Magic Instructors Association, salaries will be generated according to the amount of work. '
That's it for the explanation, and since then the billing subjects have also been side-by-side with no face-loss incitement complaints.
"You can acquire everything from fundamentals to hands-on technology!
"Don't worry if you haven't experienced it! The person in charge will teach you courteously throughout the actual work!
'This is a one-stone two-bird class that can also reduce the burden of tuition while studying!
'The more you work hard, the more you earn because of the percentage system. If you're capable, you can just go to class and earn a million legicas a year?
"It's a soothing scene.
"This class is the only place you can go through the field of mechanical demon guidance from your first year of college!
It was no longer more like a PR at work than a class description.
(Oh, too suspicious...)
"Hey Theo. Exactly. I think this is frigid." inexperienced "," work "," field "… whatever you think, there's a line of words that don't look like school classes."
"Mm-hmm. Well, it looks like you can take it for free. If you can really make a million legicas, you won't have to borrow them for tuition either. Let's just get out of the first class. So I can't really make any money."
"... yeah"
(I wonder if you're okay...)
Lynn never felt like there was some kind of weird trap, although she admitted it.
"What about the others? There are too many of them to choose from..."
"In the meantime, if you apply basic magic subjects to your timetable, you'll be narrowed down to nature."
"Oh well. You can't take classes at the same time."
Lynn and Theo fill out the basic magic subject for now, comparing subject requirements with the timetable fill out form. I noticed here that most basic magic subjects don't seem to require billing. Lynn was horrified to find that out. I need twenty basic magic subject credits to graduate, but this is going to allow me to graduate just by paying for my annual tuition. I didn't want to take on any extra debt no matter how much scholarship I could get an infinite loan.
"You don't have anything in the basic magic subject on Wednesday. Try fishing for a charging subject."
"On Wednesday, you'll have" Applied and Light Magic "and" Spirit Magic. "
"Erm." Applied Light Magic "cannot be taken unless you have completed" Ring Magic "." Spirit Magic "must have completed" Ring Magic "and" Fairy Magic ". I can barely take it to anything in my first year."
"Sounds like you can take it if you want to."
"Uh, the class Yuven was taking."
Theo says it looks like a pain in the ass.
Lynn tried to read the class description section.
"Classes to learn the magic of producing from nothing, the magic of generating matter. Material-generating magic that was less important because it was harder to operate than usual, but also because it could be substituted with dimensional magic, mass magic, and elevators. However, 10 years ago, the 300-floor class magician Sediac begins to get a clear footlight from discovering how to operate effectively. This area, which has developed rapidly over the last decade, has the potential to spill over into all other magical applications, and if you want to go for the upper layers of the tower, say the must-have, … '
Lynn didn't understand most of the meaning of what it said, but there was still something about the wording that attracted me to produce a presence from nothing.
"Oh, but this is an elective, so you need to charge. It says that 100,000 legicas are required for those wishing to attend."
It was Lynn's salary for two months.
"Well, there's nothing I can't take because I have a scholarship... I wonder."
Consider that Theo too. I see. Like a kid named Yuven said, this college looks like a game a little harder to complete than it's ever been.
Lynn worried.
Ellios said you should be careful with paid classes. But I was also concerned about Yuven's words.
—— Can you ever be that good without a noble, decent master? --
I wonder what she meant then. I felt like I would know the answer if I took the same class as her.
What Elios was saying and what Yuven was saying. Whether one needs to charge or the other doesn't. Which opinion should I listen to at all?
I know it would be wiser to follow Elios' opinion. But Lynn also wanted to take the classes Yuven was taking.
When Fu Lin looks at Theo, he puts his hand on his mouth as he looks at the requirements and contemplates them. Theo seems to be concerned about this class, too.
(What's wrong?)
Theo mostly chooses classes when Lynn is lost. In my hand is held a class card for 'Matter Generating Magic'.
"Theo?"
"You care about this class, don't you? I think you're right."
Theo casts a spell and arouses the fairy who lives on the card.
"You can't count on what Elios says. I don't know anything anyway. Just jump in."
Theo's aroused fairy engraves the letter on the submission form.
"You're meeting with Elios and the others after this, aren't you? You make up your mind before they talk you out of class choices, too."
"I see. So is that."
Lynn also took the 'Matter Generating Magic' card and cast a spell. The card becomes a blue flame. There is no fever. Go from Lynn's hand to the submission form and engrave the letters.
Lynn's timetable was as follows:
Monday: Ring Magic
Tuesday: Mass Magic
Wednesday: Substance Generation Magic
Thursday: Metallurgical Magic
Friday: Fairy Magic, Machine Magic Guide Preliminary
When you fill out all the fields on the form you wish to attend, you will finally evoke the fairy on the form.
"O fairy who dwells on paper. Take this timetable to the Magic Instructors Association bookcase."
The completed form became a blue flame and flew to the building of the Alfld branch of the Magic Instructors Association.
