Episode 16: The College's Magic Guide Protest
"Let's hurry. You're gonna have to review the exam range before class, right?" Theo spoke to Lynn as he handily cleaned out his writing equipment.
"Yeah. But for once, check the classroom..."
"Do it in the elevator. Next class is crowded. If you suck, you'll be using the stairs. Hurry up."
Theo rushed me and Lynn stood up in a hurry.
The two of them were being chased by challenges and exams they couldn't be.
Classes were all centered on seating.
Primary Magic Instructors bring their basic theories of magic into their heads before their practical moves.
Lynn clapped out a little, thinking that she would soon be able to use all sorts of magic.
Nevertheless, it was not an easy one.
Either way, the amount of challenges is half as high.
All classes were conducted in magic letters and in magic words, but the jargon required for each magic was completely separate and there were a large number of terms to remember.
Lynn took a shower of magic words and was reminded that the words she had been using were only a fraction.
Both Lynn and Theo had already dropped a number of assignments and exams, and several classes were in danger of getting credits during the current year.
(I see. This is why it takes years for someone to graduate from the elementary class)
It was Ellios and the others who helped Lynn flirt with unfamiliar challenges and exams. They went out of their way to cut their own lunch break time and watch Lynn study.
"Ooh, I miss it. We did it, too. This kind of thing," Agr said as she turned the page with Lynn's textbook to her hand.
"Oh. You're also fairy magic, Dr. Cairon. You feel good, don't you?" Sheila also told me to look at Lynn's textbook and remember.
"Yep. There are just so many challenges... I'm running out of time just reading the references to my assignments."
"It's bad because I try to read everything. You just have to pick up the important part. Let me show you the trick."
"Excuse me. You're all busy."
"I don't care. It would be a good review for us to teach you," Ellios said, smiling.
"I really get swept up by assignments and exams as soon as I get into college. But a month. After a month, I get used to nature, and even if I look at thick textbooks, I find out where to look, where to pay attention, and where to omit them. Until then, patience."
"Yes, thank you," Lynn thanked sincerely. I felt sincerely lucky to be taught by such gentle seniors.
Theo, on the other hand, had been taught by Elios and the others while he seemed uninteresting.
(Totally. Because it's priceless)
Lynn smiled bitterly.
Lin and the others were opening textbooks in the square, but suddenly the surroundings became noisy.
People stopped coming and going, and the shops connecting the houses cleaned up the signs and locked the doors.
"What?" Theo looks surprised.
"Ah, Yabeye. Isn't today the day for the Spyrna and Lados guys to fight?
"Right. It's already that day."
"A war? A war?" Lynn overhears the noisy words.
"Once a month, college students from the Spyrna and Lados countries fight in the square. Bet your right to use or prioritize the facility."
'Cause they're not close, and they have a lot of blood.'
"No, but fighting is..., okay? Like that"
"You are allowed only if you make an offer to the association and use a defined weapon"
"I suppose it was banned before. But Spyrna and Lados' students kept getting blade wounds..., they didn't mind the battle, so the association finally decided to give them permission in this way. It's like draining gas. It's a regular spectacle now."
"That's what..."
"Not if you're talking. If we don't evacuate soon, we'll be caught up. The roads around here will be sealed off soon."
Sheila began to clean up the books and drinks she had spread on the table with Teki.
Linda and the others evacuated to a tower a short distance from the square.
By the time Lin and the others arrive, the wild horses have already made their hedges, and the mountain masters and sellers selling food and beverages who anticipate the whereabouts of the battle begin to emerge from nowhere.
Eventually both factions arrive in rows in the square where the Lynns were until earlier. Start creating positions by flying each other's flags. That seemed like a foretaste of war.
"The blue flag on the right is Spyrna, and the yellow flag on the left is Lados," Sheila told Lynn earringing.
When both factions made a simple deity in the rear of the position, they swore that they would not escape cowardly in the presence of God, that this battle would be dedicated to God. Afterwards, he raised his voice and increased his will to fight.
Eventually a magical light was emitted from either side, and the fire lid of the battle was cut and dropped.
The mixed voices of both factions are raised, and the ringing noise of the hardware and the explosion flames occur there. Smoke almost stood in, and the dust rose.
Lynn glanced at this training ground.
"Hey, are you okay with this? There's gonna be a dead man," Theo says in a panicked voice.
"It's okay. Take a look at the equipment of the warlock you're fighting for. You're all weaving hats and capes. That's a shield for a magician. An attack by magic is somewhat prevented as long as it is equipped with that one. Of course it hurts if you get hit, and burns if you get flames. But the attack magic and items that can be used there are also somewhat restricted to the less powerful ones… well, they won't die."
(He said he's weak... with that?
Lynn looked out.
The iron sphere rolled out by magic is as large as the cannon's bullet, and the firepillar stood by the blast can climb a few meters.
The flying sword of light emitted a brighter light than thunder, and the crossbow (barista) emitted was as huge as an iron pole.
Any attack could have caused a little building to collapse lightly, and about one or two of the beasts seemed to have the power to be lightly tailored.
In fact, there were bumpy holes in the surrounding buildings that received stray bullets.
The battle presented a one-on-one appearance. The superiority and inferiority are not clear inside when the military flags of both factions come and go from left to right.
That state continued at four and a half hours, but eventually both factions slowly began to retreat so that the various waves would pull.
Both factions came to the bottom of their magic and the limits of their ability to continue fighting.
The Magic Instructors of two countries who can afford their health pull up with the wounded and stunned as they fly each other wild.
All that remained were the facilities in the square that were destroyed and wrecked, the remnants of the magic that was unleashed and flashed with ticks, and the magicians who were unable to move much due to injuries and lack of magic.
Officials of the Magic Instructors Association appeared in the square, dressed in black robes, as they anticipated when the two forces pulled up completely. Put the wounded in their luggage and start collecting them or repairing the square.
"This time it's a draw."
I hear a twinkle from somewhere in the audience.
In the wake of that voice, the wild horses make a scene by spouting their thoughts on this battle.
"Oh, I bet you thought Spirna would win"
"Kruga won't be joining us these days."
Eventually, the wild horses, tired of watching criticism, start pulling up with one another.
"We'll lead you too," Ellios told everyone to lead the way.
"Right. You better get back to your room early today. I feel like I saw it. There's still a cheerful one. Not if they don't brawl off-site," Sheila told me to be on guard.
Lin and the others left the city of Alfrid to escape the war.
