Transition to Another World, Landmines Included
093 hemming (1)
Fascinated by fish and crabs, we continue to fish until critical on our last day, rushing for lunch before leaving the river behind. Because of the stickiness, the journey home continued to run even and we arrived in the city when the sun was about to fall.
For three whole days, thanks to the dawn of fishing, there was room for the number of sea turtles, so we divided and hemmed them into two for Tommy and Gantz, and Diora and Aella, respectively, who were taken care of.
It was slightly slow in time, but sometimes it kept the magic bag a secret, and Hulka handed out frozen objects around. After tomorrow, I don't think you should take too much fresh stuff.
By the way, I didn't even tell Tommy about the magic bag to avoid any trouble.
If it's just Tommy, I can make him a magic bag, but I've made it my policy to think about the possibility of other classmates being in this city and to keep anything a secret but party members.
If they made it too, it could spread endlessly, and if I refused, I said no, and they might resent me and cause trouble.
If that is the case, it is better to keep any secrets.
Great Salamander, who was contracting as a request, eventually caught about five, but only one was secured once, and all the rest delivered to the Alliance.
Not many roughly 200 gold coins in total.
Pretty expensive, but they sell enough for a lookout nobleman.
Diora said that Yamamei also said, "If you sell it, it will be 2 or 3 large silver coins." I haven't had any particular problems with the money, and it's something we've secured for ourselves, so everything but the hemmed stuff remains stocked in a magic bag.
I feel like a couple of large silver coins are a little expensive with one fish, but compared to other foods and sizes of about 30cm... isn't it too expensive?
The price of fish is pink in Japan, and given the level of adventurers who can safely go fishing, it may be slightly cheaper.
However, it is not necessarily (...) possible to buy it if you offer that price (...).
In Japan, you can buy most of the stuff in the supermarket, and you can get it if you use the mail order even if it's not there. But there's not necessarily a line of things in the store that I want here, and naturally there's no easy way to sell them.
If you really want, you can make a request to the adventurer, but in that case, there's no way you can do it with just a few large silver coins.
Given all that, maybe you should think carefully about what you sell.
Because the difficulty of obtaining is not necessarily matched by the value.

"I'm going to go to Mr. Simon's today, even for lunch with fish, but what about the Naos?
At breakfast the next day, Yuki asked me that, and me and Toya looked at each other.
Simon is an old man who is a carpenter who is building our house and who was also in charge of Aela's shop.
I guess your arm is pretty good around finishing all that store just hearing about a suspicious consultant.
They also owed me help in setting the trap, so they decided to act like a fish dish with the encouragement to build a home.
But when we find out that the Great Salamander is going to be captured, there may be more adventurers out there.
"I hate that. Anyway, if it's just Great Salamander, the only thing that reduces other prey. Crab, shrimp, delicious."
Toya puts a little face to my words.
I may be a little self-absorbed, but I agree.
"I didn't even tell Mr. Simon about the trap, so isn't it okay? You might think of it as a box for transport."
"Box for transport, or..."
The trap I used is a shape with holes in an elongated wooden box.
If you think you're going to stick ice in with a frozen Great Salamander, it's not even in that weird shape.
The hole drains water from the melted ice, and the vertical one can also be seen to carry it on your back...... maybe?
"In the first place, it's a request that you can't ask without someone who can freeze it, so even if there's a trap, I think it's hard, right?
We tend to forget because we have three wizards, but very few of us can use magic. There are even fewer wizards in there who can serve ice or freeze a subject.
If you're a wizard on that level in the first place, you don't have to bother to be a dangerous adventurer to make enough money.
If you think about it, you don't have to worry too much about the competition.
"Well, if you took care of me, I wouldn't object to acting like a fish per se, but you took a refresher vacation for quite some time, right? Don't you have to work?
"Yeah, but it feels good, Great Salamander, you got it."
"I was on vacation in the mood, but you're working on income, we"
"Sure."
Do you imagine making tens of thousands of yen per person per day?
I didn't train during the fishing trip, but I'm ripe for routine training before meals this morning, so I don't even feel like I'm blunt.
"Plus you have some worries about what to do next. What do you think of Nao?
"You usually move to the south woods, don't you?
"Yep. You don't have to hunt for oak."
The South Forest is said to be more dangerous than the East Forest, but in fact, there are no enemies stronger than the Oak. However, the rate of encounters with demons is higher, so given that, the danger is higher than that of sampling on the outer edge of the eastern forest.
The most common are goblins and hobgoblins, and their superior species, which you won't have to go too far into the woods to encounter.
There are other demons out there called 'Bruncheater Spider' and 'Slash Oul'.
According to the drawings, these demons are a little tricky to attack, but they won't pose much of a threat to us.
But for any demon, it's about the demon stone that makes it gold where you knock it down, and meat doesn't sell like an oak, so it's not as good as making money.
Herbs, too, are not very different from the eastern forest, so this one is subtle.
The main task of the adventurers operating in the south woods is to escort the wood dust towards logging.
The city is in high demand for wood due to the booming production of furniture, this escort request is daily and the rewards are not bad as a junior adventurer. If you take the Demon Stone from the Goblin that finally struck you, it will also be an extra reward.
I can't aim for a thousand bucks, but it's less dangerous, and it's possible to earn enough money for my daily inn + some savings.
"But even more like a wooden escort now..."
As Toya groans in dissatisfaction, the amount is pretty subtle if you take it from us who were making rough money on dindles and oaks. To be clear, it's too cheap to be motivated to work.
Rather, hunting pigs in the East Forest is more likely to make money, but the problem is that the number of pigs is likely to decrease in the coming season.
"I wish I had something, a collection with a high buying price..."
"Hmm, don't you have to worry so much about it?
Yuki said that openly to Natsuki, who gave him a slightly troubled look.
"Why?
"'Cause think about your current holdings. Paying for the rest of the house would be enough for about a year's living, right? You don't need to pay for the lodging."
That being said, when Yuki turned her gaze to Hulka, Hulka thought a little before nodding.
"Well... there's plenty of food, clothing. Regardless of the maintenance of weapons and protective equipment, I don't mind considering it until it's updated."
"I mean, if we maintain the status quo, we'll have no problem, right? Then don't worry too much about the reward, and don't you think it's a hand to level ourselves up? Besides, if you get a house, you have other skills like alchemy and pharmacy that are going to make you money, right?
"... Speaking of which, you are. If you have to sell a magic bag, you won't starve."
"I want it to be a last resort, but Yuki has a point."
The lack of a safety net has made me money somewhat like an obsessive-compulsive notion, but I don't have to worry about being kicked out of the inn or having trouble with food, even if I'm going to get some sick and rest now.
Of course, we don't have enough money to hide out, but we're not old enough to worry about it.
Even if we were to reduce storage somewhat in the winter, it wouldn't be a problem if we tried to make money from spring to fall.
"Then today, why don't we do a reconnaissance of the South Forest? It's my first time in the woods, and if you go, you might earn something."
"I see. That's not bad."
Toya agrees with Natsuki's suggestion and we snort too.
"Then let's go behave for lunch to Mr. Simmons first. I'm worried about the condition of the house."
◇ ◇ ◇
Approximately a week since my last visit.
Despite all that, the situation in the house was changing at once.
Apparently, it's almost finished, and now it's lacquered the outer wall. That's already about half done, too, so I'll probably finish applying it by the end of the day, both in terms of the number of people I'm working on and their speed of work.
However, I don't see the inner working condition, including the interior, so I don't know how far it is going as a whole.
"Mr. Simon! Good morning!
"Whoa, ladies. You're back?
When Yuki rushed over to speak to Simon, who was overseeing the whole thing, Mr. Simon looked back and narrowed his eyes.
In this world of early marriages, from the old man's point of view, Yuki or our age hits the age of about grandchildren. That's why I can also feel such a smiling atmosphere, like seeing Yuki and her grandchildren working hard.
"Yeah! Because I got the job done safely. Construction, looks a lot like it's going on, but what's it like?
"As you can see, don't finish painting the exterior walls soon. I'll do another topcoat, but that'll be over tomorrow too. It won't take two more weeks on the inside."
"... Pretty quick, huh?
"Whoa, as for this time of year, you've been blessed with weather. After that, it's indoor work, so I don't think we're gonna be late.
If things go well like this, they'll be done in a month and a little bit.
When asked why it was earlier than planned, there were three main things about it, one being that the ground was firmer than expected.
He was able to make good use of the foundations of the house he had before, thanks to the fact that he left the details of the shape of the house and others to Mr. Simon.
The other is an advance.
He said that he was able to hire a lot of people to get the work going at once thanks to giving him 600 gold coins in advance.
"Normally, you're gonna give it to me, watching the progress?" She laughed, "but if you can do it fast, it's convenient for us. I'm not directly involved, but I'm sure Yuki and Hulka have decided they can be trusted, and they've built it properly without running away from it.
The weather is still at the end.
The weather seems to collapse easily this time of year, but with cloudy weather and some light rain, luckily enough to interrupt the construction, it never rained during the day.
"So you're here today to see what's going on? Or is that your usual special training?
"Oh, no, it's an easy thing, but for lunch. Thank you for your help."
"Well, are you ladies handmade? That would make them happy, too."
They had over 10 people working at one time, but all that's left is the part that needs skill, so only 5 people, including Mr. Simon, are here today. It might be easier than I thought, as we could just put in and cook for 10.
"Well, I'll call you around lunch, good luck with your work!
"Oh, I'm looking forward to it."
That's what Mr. Simon says, slapping Yuki on the shoulder with a pomp and going back to work.
I can still afford it by lunch time, but the Hulkas are going to finish their work first, so I picked up the big pot and started working on it.
In the meantime, there's nothing we can do, even train away...
"Ah!!!
"What!? Something happened!
Suddenly I raised my voice and Toya turned to me in a panic, but I pointed to the corner of the garden as I sat back.
"Perfect, I forgot..."
"Stone -? Oh, that! I felt like I'd forgotten something!
"Then tell me!
"I'd say it if I knew! I couldn't remember!
"... ha, right"
What was ahead, I pointed out, was a pile of stones that me and Toya had picked up in the meadows about a week ago.
Yes, I completely forgot about the garden stones that were supposed to be collected in the gorge.
Fishing too well, we can catch the Great Salamander, and we can even fish crabs and shrimps. The satisfaction was too high and I was losing sight of what motivated me to go.
"What are you going to do? You're going again?
"... you're on hold. When fish and crabs are out of stock, think"
It's not something I need right away.
Gardening is a hobby.
If you don't care what it looks like, you don't need stones in your home garden.
"Hey, I thought, can't you make blocks or something with dirt magic? You got stone bullets, Stone Missile?
"You won't be able to, but Yuki is the only one who can use dirt magic"
"What about Nao? Elves, right?"
"... not impossible"
For a human being who can't use magic without qualities, the elf has no limitation on that, so any magic should be available for once. For once.
However, I have never practiced anything other than space-time magic and fire magic.
I'm getting used to manipulating magic as well, so I think it's promising, but how long will it take for the blocks to be made......
"Come on, man. You can't push Yuki on your own bad end, can you?
"You must be guilty of the same crime!
"Me, no wizard?"
Toya shrugging her shoulders and half laughing at me for pointing at Bisilli. Even though I know it's a joke, I'm a little bit inclined to kill you.
"Damn, you brains"
"Ha ha, I don't deny it"
"Deny it. Yeah, you're not a brain muscle, are you? I just can't use magic."
It has a skill structure like Flesh Bullet Battle Pole Swing, but Toya's own geomorphology is not bad. It's not a top group like the Hulkas, but my grades were good, including mine.
"It's a pedigree problem, so there's no choice!
"Huh...... good luck. If Toya's free, why don't you read the book? [Appraisal] Skills are almost certainly influenced by your knowledge, aren't they?
"Right. Maybe it's not going to level up where I used it a lot."
Toya apparently repeated the act of appraising objects from one end to the other for quite some time, but the level of [appraisal] has still not changed from the first two.
Then you can anticipate the possibility that '[appraisal] skills don't level up just by using'.
Conversely, the information displayed in the appraisal is also changing when Toya does research in the guild to increase her knowledge. If so, it is easy to imagine saying that one's knowledge influences.
"Read it in the Monster Dictionary."
"Whoa, do that. 'Cause I'm gonna mess around."
Laying a goza on the ground and falling asleep and gracefully starting to read the book, Toya on my ass, I started practicing gathering dirt when I sat on the ground and putting magic through it.
