Although Lou Wei couldn’t feel Wen Fan’s touch, he felt his heart getting warm. He glanced at Wen Fan and turned around to stare at Zhou Yuan. But his eyes were no longer as harsh as before.

He cast an indifferent glance at Zhou Yuan and said to Lou Ke, “If you can bring Aunt Lee back to life, I will do whatever you said.”

Lou Ke immediately shouted, “That woman is dead!”

Lou Ke was the only son of the Lou family. He was talented with good family background. He was extremely sharp in the business world and life had been smooth sailing for him, which shaped his arrogance and playboy personality.

Lou Wei’s mother, Wang Xiu, has a similar personality to Lou Ke. She is an extremely arrogant person. She got married and got divorced very quickly. Moreover, she simply doesn’t care about her own son at all. Lee Yunxiu was a very gentle person and thus, she has been loved by Lou Ke for many years. However, her gentle personality was no match to Zhou Yuan’s capability to fake and act coquettishly. And because she had poured all her heart to loving Lou Ke, she eventually died from depression.

Lou Ke never reflected on his own mistakes and always took actions on his own. He only has one home and that is Zhou Yuan’s home. Lou Ke never cared about Lou Wei and Lou Xia. If it wasn’t for Lou Wei’s own savings and the money that Wang Xiu and Lee Yunxiu left for him, he would have starved to death with his sister.

Lou Wei couldn’t figure out how a father would be so cruel toward his wife and his own children. It was just as how he couldn’t figure out how Lou Ke had the confidence that he could manipulate him just like how it is when he was a child.

At first, he still have the patience to listen to what Lou Ke wants to say. But the moment he heard him saying that ‘that woman is dead’, all his pateince suddenly disappeared.

He stared at Lou Ke and told him in a low voice, “Then go and visit her.”

After he finished speaking, he ended the video call with Lou Ke. This time, he blacklisted and deleted all history chat logs with Lou Ke from all his social media accounts and communication platforms.

Lou Wei looked at Wen Fan and hesitated for a long while before he finally asked, “Am I…being too indifferent?”

“No,” Wen Fan immediately shook his head. He heard Lou Wei talked briefly about his family’s situation and he already found it unbelievable. If it was before, Wen Fan would never believe that there is someone who’s father is still alive but had been living worst than someone who doesn’t have a father.

“I think what you said was right.”

Wen Fan leaned on the table and looked at him, “What Lou Wei said was right.”

He rested his chin on his arm, staring at Lou Wei with his head tilted. He really looked like the little puppy from Lou Wei’s neighbor during Lou Wei’s childhood.

The warm bright lights from the projector intersected, making him appear hairy.

Lou Wei stared at him intensely.

Wen Fan’s pupils were big and round. Whenever he gazes at someone, they made him look as if was putting all his attention onto the person. He was looking at Lou Wei with such a gaze. The coldness in Lou Wei’s heart disappeared immediately. He lifted his hand to ‘touch’ Wen Fan’s head and slowly closed the distance between them.

He then stroked Wen Fan’s forehead and kissed him.

Wen Fan widened his eyes. His curly eyelash flattered as they trembled slightly.

He obviously couldn’t feel anything, but it seemed as if the heat from Lou Wei’s body scorched his skin. He trembled and he was having goosebumps.

Wen Fan stared at him and he even stopped breathing for a moment.

The movie was still playing on the TV in the living room. The light from the TV flickered in the living room, casting shadows on Lou Wei’s well-defined face. Wen Fan couldn’t see Lou Wei’s face clearly in a daze but he could only feel his misty eyes on him.

Their surroundings seemed like a frame of the movie that was put on a pause.

His whole body was steaming with heat.

He could only stare in a daze, unable to move.

Lou Xia who intended to come downstairs and saw Wen Fan leaning on the table. Their intimacy instantly shot an arrow to the chest of her, the single dog.

She halted her legs that were about to walk down the stairs. She quickly turned around and returned to her room.

She should go back to the Canyon of Kings to abuse the scum!

But the sound of her footsteps startled Wen Fan. The young man immediately came to his senses and quickly pulled back.

He rushed upstairs while blushing.

He completely left the man behind him.

And of course, he didn’t notice anything odd with the man’s gaze.

Lou Wei watched quietly as the young man ran away. He frowned and slowly retrieved his hand that was still hanging in midair. He rubbed his fingertips while he recalled the scene just now.

The image of the young man who was so shocked that the corners of his eyes were slightly red was still vivid in his mind. Just as he was reminiscing, Lou Wei felt black mist rolling from his chest, disturbing his senses. He sat quietly on the sofa, concealing the expression in his eyes, hiding in the shadows.

Like a hibernating beast.

He didn’t regret his action just now, he was just afraid that he had frightened Wen Fan.

However,

The man clicked opened the report of ‘Heaven’s Dream’ gaming pod and added some footnotes on his ideas while reading the contents of the report.

For someone who never falls in love to finally find something he loves, there is no way that he would give up so easily.

What he wanted to do now, is to be able to touch the young man with his own hands next time.

Lou Wei complied the revised design plans for ‘Heaven’s Dream’ game pod with the human brain’s sensing data and the design and summaries that he had done previously and sent them to ‘Heaven’s Dream’ game pod designing team.
