Chapter 311 - World 10.49
A light warm tap bounced on his cheeks. "Xianyu?" the soft and mellow voice made his eyes open.
The first thing Xianyu saw was a handsome face with such perfect facial features looking down on him. A gentle smile flashed on the male's face, it made him widened his eyes and snap back. His cheeks become red and hot at the same time.
Xianyu realized that he was lying on Yuan's lap. He quickly lifted his upper torso and sat up, blinking his eyes in a daze. When he spun his head, a sudden pain jolted towards his temples.
"...ngh!.." Xianyu winced and grasped his hair.
"Don't move for a while now, take a rest...you are still recovering," Yuan pulled him down again and let him rest on his lap once more.
Surprised, Xianyu asked. "Recover from what? What happened to me?" then he remembered what he saw before opening his eyes. "Wait!" He flinched again and was going to sit up when Yuan pushed his head down again. "Rest," he ordered.
"Yuan, are we still inside your illusion?" Xianyu's eyes turned sad and anxious. "I-I s-saw you...there, you are---"
"We are, in reality, Xianyu," Yuan brushed his hair. Combing every thread using his fingers. It delivered a sleepy sensation to Xianyu, so he didn't speak anymore.
He held his lips tight and thought about the thing he saw. He recalled hearing an unknown voice before pushing Yuan away. They are the only ones in that place and it's very impossible for Yuan to speak because he was kissing him. The thought of kissing made Xianyu blushed, he covered his face in embarrassment.
The voice rang up to his ears when they kissed. That voice was familiar, but he couldn't get what he wanted to say. He had this idea inside his mind that kept on showing but was blocked by his forgetful self. He rolled on the other side. Once again, the gracefully flowing river welcomed his sight.
The water glimmering, like sparkling diamonds, under the moonlight. The rocks under it tapping each other are penetrating through its clear water. Very calm and relaxing. Xianyu removed his hands from his face and thought. 'Is it a part of his memory?'
"Yuan…"
The other male, leaning on the tree with his eyes closed, hummed. "Hmm?"
Xianyu grouped his hands and started to fidget with his fingers. "Are you…" he paused. "Are you angry at me or..something?" His voice was shaky.
Yuan opened his eyes, then lowered his head and glanced at the male. He remained quiet for the meantime while gazing at Xianyu's reddened ears. He felt something from that question. It kept him silent because he himself already knew the answer.
Yuan stroke the male's hair. "Why would I?" he replied.
Xianyu pondered, "Why did you answer my question with another question?" he snorted. His eyes narrowed and pouted his lips out.
Yuan chuckled, seeing Xianyu's ears turned red for the second time. He cupped the male's face and spun him upwards. When their face met, he bent down and kissed Xianyu's forehead. "I'm not angry at you," he mumbled.
It stunned Xianyu. His eyes widened, making him shut. 'What is that?' He thought to himself as he unconsciously tapped his lips after remembering the kiss they did earlier. A surging hot feeling crawled inside his stomach and felt the butterflies there, flapping their wings.
"What?" Yuan asked and giggled. "Do you want me to kiss you on your lips instead?" because he caught the male touching his own lips.
This time, Xianyu sprang up and back, inches away from Yuan. "No, no, no!!!" He blurted out "I d-didn't m-mean it that w-way!!" he stammered.
Yuan stood up and reached his hands to the male. Xianyu grabbed it and said thanks.
"Where are we going?"
Xianyu asked when the male pulled him forward. The male ignored him, so he didn't speak anymore. He was still inside the palace though, so it's better to leave the way to Yuan since it was also his home.
He suddenly jolted when he remembered a familiar name. "Yi-Lin! What about Yi-Lin?!" he exclaimed, slowing his walks.
A few seconds before Yuan replied, he clenched his jaw. "He's fine,"
Xianyu jumped in front of him with his worried eyes. "Are you sure he's fine?" he asked.
Yuan turned stiff, like he was holding something heavy and anxious, but he didn't show it to the male, so he smiled. "My spell won't last too long, don't worry," he said.
Xianyu sighed, tapping his chest. "Thank you," he mumbled.
Again, the two traversed the pathway beside the trees and bushes. The crickets sounded together with their footsteps. The moonlight was bright, as it gave them enough light to see their steps.
It was quiet and peaceful until Yuan grabbed Xianyu by his waist and seized him in his embrace. His brows knitted in annoyance, pushing the male more into his chest.
"Y-Yua---"
A flashing purple light charged towards them. Yuan thrusted his palm in the air, releasing a circle shield that covered them. He spun his body with Xianyu and dashed behind the bushes. Both remained silent.
As they peaked their heads, they saw two shadows emerging from the darkness of the night.
"Where did they go?!"
"I told you to calm down, idiot! Why did you shoot them straight!? Are you dumb?!"
"But Xianyu can handle my attacks!"
"Idiot! Master told you to calm down!"
It startled both Xianyu and Yuan after hearing their voices. It was all familiar to their ears. The arguing voices continued while they listened behind the bushes. Xianyu already wanted to come out but Yuan told him to stay there because he wants to play a little joke with them.
Xianyu only sighed and brushed his hair. 'This three indeed' he thought to himself.
Yuan remained composed. He was planning to throw some jokes on the two when a gust of strong wind blew them away. The bushes they're in cleared the pathway and revealed them, but before he could grab Xianyu back, a sword was quickly pointed at him.
"Stay away," the voice was sharp and cold.
Meanwhile, Sun Wei and Qi Zhou, who just snapped back to their senses, pulled Xianyu towards them. "Xianyu! Stay away from him!" they yelled in unison.
Dumbfounded, Xianyu glanced at Sun Wei and Qi Zhou with a confused expression. He also gazed at Yuan, who was still on the ground, looking up at Rouhan.
"Wait!!! You guys are mistaking something!!" Xianyu yelled.
Rouhan clicked his tongue and turned his head to Xianyu, still pointing his sharp blade at Yuan. "Isn't it clear to you? He did all of this for revenge,"
The first thing Xianyu saw was a handsome face with such perfect facial features looking down on him. A gentle smile flashed on the male's face, it made him widened his eyes and snap back. His cheeks become red and hot at the same time.
