"Lets go this way,"

Xianyu tugged the straw hat on his head to cover his face, following behind Rouhan. They once again strided the busy place. It was their second day of traveling. 

Rouhan already sent a message through the communication telepathy that they will travel back to the mountains. Where Xianyu first woke up in this world. Since they already used another teleportation array, his Qi got drained for a while and he needed to mediate and cultivate more.

Xianyu stepped forward to level the male's pace. "How many villages?"

"Two," Rouhan replied shortly, not even looking at him.

"Aren't you not wondering?" 

A group of kids playing around dashed towards the two and in their excitement, one of them almost stumbled down from playing. Rouhan caught the kid by his arms. "Be careful," 

"Thank you, brother!" The kid smiled and ran back to his playmates.

Rouhan brushed his sleeves. "What do you mean?" He asked.

Xianyu pondered, "It feels like that mysterious man knows me very well,"

They reached the market so the area became tight ang crowded. Xianyu's eyes got occupied by the fresh fruits displayed in the baskets. 

Scared to lose him, Rouhan grabbed the male's wrist. "Be wary of your surroundings, I don't want you to get lost like a child again" he mumbled.

Xianyu nodded his head and followed the man pulling him, but he was stopped when a light grip surprised him from behind.

"Ehh?" 

Different flavors of rice cakes welcomed his sight. It was beaming in his eyes, Xianyu was almost drooling. An old woman selling rice cakes nagged him to buy. Of course, he can't say NO. It was his favorite.

Rouhan's forehead ceased. He knew right away what was going to happen. "You really are a pain---" 

Xianyu clings to his arms. "Say, Rouhan, can you buy me two rice cakes?!" His pupils dilated between excitement and pleading. "It looks so delicious, see?" he added.

It made Rouhan brush his face in dismay. He took out gold coins and brought 2 rice cakes. While the other male took it wholeheartedly with a wide grin on his cheeks. He didn't even split a second to munch it. 

"Hmm!! Delicious!" Xianyu exclaimed, nibbling the sides of the rice cakes. He was so delighted with his bulging cheeks, until he bumped to Rouhan's back. He almost got choked.

"What happened?" 

Rouhan quickly turned around and grabbed Xianyu's wrist, dragging him somewhere. He was so fast that Xianyu couldn't even come up with his pace.

"What happe---" Xianyu's lips was sealed by Rouhan's palm. "Keep quiet," the man whispered to him.

Both of them compressed themselves into the dim narrow alley. After a few minutes, they heard heavy footsteps roaming the area. Since they are in a difficult state right now, none of them dare to move. 

At first, there were only two imperial guards, another group approached them and asked if they saw someone. They even asked the walking citizens nearby, showing a paper with a face imprinted on it.

Since the area seemed harmless, they left. The two both released a long sigh. 

'Why are they roaming around?' Xianyu whispered inside his thoughts. Rouhan got what he was thinking but instead of answering, he walked forward and ripped something from the wall. 

His gesture also surprised Xianyu so he followed behind. He looked down and gazed at Rouhan's hands. He jolted. "Why?" he blurted out.

Rouhan crumpled the paper and threw it to the corner. He clicked his tongue, "We better hurry," he mumbled. "This is not a good thing, they are hunting you." 

Just after turning away, he heard a loud thud. A figure fell on the ground. 

"Xianyu!!"

He turned to the hallways at the right. When he noticed that there was no one, he lifted his heels and swung on the tree. His black robe almost got stuck on the small branch but still managed to pull it away.

He positioned himself in front of the window. He knew that it was a bit dangerous, but there is nothing more dangerous than not bringing the right information to his master. 

Hawk gulped, he saw the general commander of the palace. Inside the chamber of the emperor, the other attendant left them alone. He felt his heart thump in nervousness. This is not the first time for him to witness such acts, but he was ordered to. Right now, Yi Lin is his master.

He picked something from his pocket. It was like a needle. Hawk closed his one eye and tiptoed on the branch. When he got the perfect momentum, he threw the needle towards the emperor's window.

He released a sigh of relief when it pierced the walls perfectly. It was a very rare object that only his clan could produce. By shooting the needle near the place, it can transport any sound by waves. Because of that, in his distance, he can hear their conversation.

The emperor chuckled with a wide grin on his face. "General, I am looking forward to your cooperation,"

The General commander of the imperial guards also chuckled and gazed at the emperor with his eyes full of greed. He bowed his head, "I am honoured to be trusted by your highness," he lifted his head back.

The Emperor, Huanxue, invited him for a seat. Pouring him a cup of warm tea. "Let's share a tea for now, and drink to our hearts content after this mission I will give to you," he lifted his own cup and twirled it, smelling the lid.

The general bowed his head. "I will do my best to grant his highness, the emperor's wishes," he observed the smoke coming from his warm cup. Lifted it up and drank it.

After enjoying his first cup, Huanxue smirked at him. "I have this insects around my palace, pestering my son," His gaze turned cold, "I want you to remove them from my field,"

A light chuckle escape the general's lips, "I am willing to do anything for his highness," 

Huanxue shot a glance at him, his eyes full of greed. "Then, I would like you to find this dog for me, it's name is Lan Xianyu,"

"What happened?!" 

Hawk almost stumbles down the moment he reaches the prince's chamber. 

Yi Lin grasped the male's shoulders to support him. "Calm down, what's the rush?"

Hawk lowered his head and tried to settle down. Gathering his composure back, he kneeled. "I apologize for my rudeness, your highness," he said.

Yi Lin then gave his trusted servant a pat on the shoulder. "It's okay, you can tell me what's going on," he mumbled.

Hawk seemed to be restless. He turned his head to left and right when he noticed that no one was around.  He stood up and closed the windows and sealed the door as he mumbled. "Pardon me your highness," 

Dumbfounded, Yi Lin let him be. He understood that it must be very important. He remained on his stance and waited for the male to finish what he was doing.

When Hawk was finally satisfied from his actions.  He kneeled back,"Pardon my rudeness, your highness, but this is a very important matter" he lowered his head. 

Yi Lin straightened his lips, silent for a second before speaking. "I guess I couldn't be helped," he replied. "Please state what you heard," he ordered. 

Hawk clenched his fist, "Your highness," he paused, contemplating if he was in the right position to say such a thing. 

He saw and heard the emperor talking to the commander general. Leading another chaos to kill somebody. 

Yi Lin frowned. He walked towards the table and sat. "Come here, we can talk properly." Since he could feel that Hawk is a little bit uneasy. He invited him.

Hawk stood up, still with his lowered head. "It's my honor to be invited by his highness." He clasped his hand around and bowed as he sat across the table.

"Gahh!!" Yi Lin exclaimed. He leaned his head down on the table. "If you are going to tell me something say it now, I'm getting nervous here, humph!" He snorted.

Hawk jolted from his seat. "Your highness, I apologize, but I don't know if you can take this information I have found." He said. 

Yi Lin hushed, "It's okay, you're delivering the thrill very much" 

"Your highness, I heard the emperor and the general commander talking about something dangerous" Hawk blurted out. 

Yi Lin quickly raised his cheeks from the table. He supported his jaw and replied. "It's interesting" 

"The emperor wanted to kill someone, not just one, your highness"

It starled Yi Lin, "What do you mean?" 

Hawk swallowed the saliva inside his throat. "I guess he was talking about your visitors, your highness," he replied. 

'He's still getting in my way, such a pain' Yi Lin thought, clicking his tongue. 

"Your highness, I know the way you gave protection, I know how strict you are in protecting your people, but I suggest that you needed to find and protect this one certain person" Hawk's expression turned serious.

"Is my father planning to kill someone? Other than my visitors?" Yi Lin's forehead ceased. He was also wondering.

Hawk nodded his head, "Yes, your highness". This time, he couldn't hide his worry for the prince. He glanced at the male straight and said, "He wanted to kill someone named Lan Xianyu,"
