Transmigrated Into The Book

Ren Jiang pulled the soft chair from the table towards the bed. He sat down and observed Yang's pale skin. "You are always flinching, are you sure you are okay?" he asked.

Yang secretly shrugged his shoulders under the blanket. He was literally not planning to tell anyone in this company about his 5 years coma, but since his health is their top priority, he ended up telling them about it. Though it was only Ren Jiang, Secretary Tien Xu and the CEO Guang Jin. 

He doesn't want to be treated like a weak baby all the time. He wanted to do his work like a normal office worker, just like his co-workers. Making other people worry is really not his thing. If he was not dizzy right now, he would probably go back to his desk to continue his left work. 

Yang gazed at the man sitting beside his bed. "Manager, I'm fine..I don't want any of you to keep on worrying about me, I am not a child," he said. 

Ren Jiang released a light chuckle, instead of getting convinced, he found it very cute. He reached for Yang's head and gave the male a brush on his hair. "Don't worry, I'm not treating you like a baby, I Know that you love your work so much and if you don't take care of your health, you can't work properly," he stated. "Of course, it's our loss to let you rest since you are one of our best employee," 

Yang went silent. He suddenly felt embarrassed again by his own assumptions. He got really affected by his officemates' gossips about Ren Jiang being gay. There's nothing to worry about, he said. The man was just doing it because he was the team manager, he will also carry their mistakes in the future. 

"I brought you fruits, do you want me to peel some for you?" Ren Jiang stood up from his seat and went to the table. There was indeed a basket full of fruits. Yang didn't notice it earlier since he was busy humiliating himself. He just nodded unconsciously which made the other male satisfied. 

Ren Jiang took some and headed to the sink near the window. He washed the fruits and peeled them. While Yang was silently watching the man's back,his eyes also went outside the window. The view of the sunset was very beautiful. 

The other male went back beside his bed carrying a bowl of freshly peeled fruits. He reached it to Yang, "Here, I peeled some for you," he smiled.

Yang said thanks and picked up one slice, he delivered it straight to his mouth and munched it very well. Feeling the juice dancing inside, he blurted out the word, "Sweet"

Getting an answer from his simple effort, Ren Jiang couldn't stop smiling. They enjoyed the fruits until both of them were full. They also chatted for the meantime since Ren Jiang wanted to stay longer.

When the sun outside the window finally went down,Ren Jiang left his seat and told Yang to rest a little. Yang couldn't do anything but to follow the male. The nurse told him to wait for her before going home so he would stay.

"Remember to drink your medicine always, I need to go now," Ren Jiang bid his goodbye and exited the room. Again, Yang was alone.

It was fun talking to their manager somehow. Now that he was alone again, the silence around the room almost deafened him. He twisted and turned on the bed, patiently waiting. His things aren't here and so is his phone. If he wanted to text his mom, he needed to get it from the office. 

How can he do that if he can't leave the room? It will become rude if he just goes home without any permission. He had so many embarrassing moments today. He didn't want to add one or two anymore.

Yang couldn't do anything but sigh over and over again. He gripped the hem of the blanket and chose to stare outside the window. The room wasn't that really big, it was a clinic size so the window is only 2 meters away from his bed.

Yang pouted and looked at the starry sky. Wondering if his mother is now worried in their house. He brushed it off and observed the crescent moon beside the stars. "I wonder what time it is now?" he mumbled. 

Enjoying the night sky, Yang fell asleep again. 

When he woke up, there was a shadow hovering in front of him. It looked familiar so he didn't move when he saw her face. The nurse was back. She meets Yang's eyes and shows her smile, "You're finally awake, how's your head?" she asked.

Yang turned silent, observing his body. When he felt that he was fine, he replied. "I don't feel sick anymore," he gently sat up and roamed his eyes like he was testing his head if he would feel dizzy with a sudden move.

"Good to hear that!" The nurse complimented. "You can go home now, I'm sorry if I'm late, don't worry of going home, Mr. Li ordered me to tell you to wait in the company lobby for 30 minutes, he said that he will bring your things there," she winked and smiled like she liked what was going on.

"He got my things?!" Yang blurted out, almost slapping his forehead. 

The nurse nodded at him, "Yes, what's wrong with that?" she asked innocently.

Yang wanted to complain. This is too much for him. An ordinary employee and CEO shouldn't be doing this. He stood up from the bed and put on his shoes. The nurse asked him to sign on the paper for record. He quickly did it and bid his goodbye, but before he could totally go out, the nurse said something.

"Mr. Li carried you all the way here earlier, you should thank him, have a safe trip home, goodnight!" Then she smiled.
