Chapter 174: Gentle Si Yuhan

Translator: Storm in a Teacup

Before Ke Ruan asked the guards standing outside the imperial study to report his presence, the guard Mr. Li had already gestured to invite him in.

He looked at those guards strangely. If they let him in so casually, wouldn’t Si Yuhan be angry?

Perhaps seeing Ke Ruan didn’t move, the guard whispered, “Your Majesty, please go inside. His Majesty has been waiting for you for a long time.”

Ke Ruan understood it, nodded and walked in with a tray. He saw Si Yuhan, who was still sitting on the emperor’s chair and watching the memorials to the throne carefully. He did not disturb him but stayed quietly at his side.

As time went by, Si Yuhan tightened his grip on the memorial to the throne. ‘Why doesn’t Ke Ruan say anything?’ He couldn’t help but look up at Ke Ruan.

The next second, Si Yuhan frowned, because he saw Ke Ruan just stand not far from him with a wooden tray. “Why are you standing still over there?”

Ke Ruan smiled, “I’m afraid to disturb you.”

“Come here.”

Ke Ruan stepped forward holding the bowl and put the tray on his table. He also stretched out his hand to carefully tide up the memorials. Si Yuhan saw the red mark on his finger with his keen eyes.

Si Yuhan grabbed his hand and asked coldly, “What happened to your finger?”

Ke Ruan sniffed, “It’s okay, I got scalded by accident.”

He wanted to take back his hand, but Si Yuhan held it very tightly. He couldn’t pull it away and the corner of his mouth twitched. ‘What’s wrong with him? Is he going crazy?’

“Have it while it’s hot. Or it won’t taste good when it’s cold.”

Si Yuhan stood up and his grip on Ke Ruan’s hand didn’t loosen.

He let Ke Ruan sit on the emperor’s chair. Ke Ruan was shocked and almost subconsciously wanted to stand up, but Si Yuhan pressed his shoulder tightly to prevent him from moving.

Ke Ruan’s face was a little pale. He looked at Si Yuhan with a weak expression. ‘What does he want to do? Does the male lead think I still want to be the Emperor?’

He really didn’t have such thought.  ‘You misunderstood me!’

“Don’t move.”

Seeing that Ke Ruan was still moving, Si Yuhan scolded coldly.

Ke Ruan was so scared that he didn’t dare to move.

Seeing that he was obedient, Si Yuhan let go of his shoulder and squatted down in front of Ke Ruan. He took his hands in his and frowned when he saw the red mark that was not obvious. “You should have been more careful.”

Ke Ruan stared at him in wide-eyed amazement. ‘What is the male lead doing?’ Ke Ruan wanted to withdraw his fingers. However, Si Yuhan’s gaze not only made Ke Ruan felt hot in his fingers, but also all over his whole body.

“You…” Before he could finish, there was a cool feeling from his fingertips. Si Yuhan lowered his head and gently blew his hand.

Ke Ruan was surprised as well as amused. ‘You’re really a kid.’

“Is it still painful?”

His gentle voice softened Ke Ruan’s heart. He shook his head and said, “No, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

Si Yuhan’s rough belly of finger gently rubbed his bright red fingertips, and the look in his eyes became more meaningful.

Being in such an intimate atmosphere, no, in such an environment, Ke Ruan felt strange as time went by slowly.

Ke Ruan cleared his throat on purpose and Si Yuhan didn’t exert more strength. Ke Ruan immediately pulled out his hand, “Better have the wonton now. Didn’t you say you want to eat it? I made it myself.”

Si Yuhan frowned discontentedly but didn’t say anything. He got up and sat next to him. Ke Ruan wanted to get up and give up the seat to him. Si Yuhan quickly put his arm around his waist and said, “Sit here with me.”

Seeing that Si Yuhan was in a good mood today, Ke Ruan did not want to disappoint him, so he nodded and replied ‘okay’.

Si Yuhan was very happy with Ke Ruan’s obedience.
