Trinitas Mundus - The Story of Saint Knight Ray
Episode XI: Investigation Team
The Rays, who were out of the city to prepare, return to Adventurer Guild headquarters before 2 p.m. and enter a large room like a designated conference room.
Several adventurous men and women had already sat down, and as the three entered, they were simultaneously gazed at.
A sharp man in the midst of it, he calls out.
"I don't see you. You're a face. Are you a member of this investigation team?
After Ashley glances at the man, she answers, "Oh, yeah".
And then he turned to everyone and said, "It's Ashley Marcut. It's Ray and Stella. Nice to meet you," he says with his hands.
Ray looked at Ashley's attitude,
(That's Ash. I'd be scared, but it hasn't moved at all. Well, I guess some people are used to the strong side of the Mercenary Corps "fright"...)
The first man to speak up,
"It's Boris. Class four. It's Milene, Ellis and Frank, our members."
At the tip of his finger sat a human male and female and an elf woman.
Boris is wearing leather armor reinforced with metal to his skinny body. He holds his black hair together behind him and has a shallow black face burnt in the day like a man in the sea. A thick eyebrow with a strong will seems impressive, but a gizzard scar over the right eyebrow reinforces his impression.
Milene is an elf woman who looks like she's about twenty years old, and she's turned elsewhere in a way that doesn't seem interested in the Rays.
Ellis was about thirty years old, a human woman, wearing leather armor similar to Boris's and talking to his neighbor, Frank.
Frank is a man in his mid-twenties or so wearing a rare metal armor breast plate for adventurers. He has the largest and thickest chest plate of the four, but his round eyes soothed the impression of being harsh.
Shortly after Boris finishes talking, a beast man of about thirty - a wolf with brown triangular ears or a fox beast - rises.
"It's Aldo. It's fourth grade as well. Our members are Chester, Ginny and Neil."
Aldo is slightly small about one hundred and seventy-five cm tall and wears leather armor. The characteristic triangular ears move pimply and slightly restless from the short pruned hair, but the expression is soft. I'm sending my gaze over there to see if Stella, the same beast man, cares.
Chester is similarly a human man who looks about thirty years old, longer than Aldo, but wears the same leather armor. He was also curious, staring at the Rays with interest.
Ginny is a human woman who looks in her early twenties, with silver hair, big gray eyes, about a hundred and sixty cm tall, but quite luxurious for an adventurer, enough to look like a teenage girl at first glance.
Neal is also a human man as old as Ginny, even taller than Chester, with a slightly stronger impression.
Aldo's parties are all hardened by leather protective equipment, which looks lightweight compared to Boris' parties.
And Chester opened his mouth to Seo Momouro.
"Markat... and his armor, Van Brace. What does that have to do with Red Arm Hamish?
Ashley shrugged, "That's disgusting,"
"Hamish Markat is my father. But it won't matter on this occasion."
Boris in that word,
"What are the Red Arms doing here? Well, I don't care, but if you're gonna join the investigation team, you're gonna have to follow my orders."
"Oh, if you're going to be captain, let's obey. But aren't you the captain?
Boris snorted at Hun and said, "Who does it but me? Is that Aldo?" answers Ashley in the same tone as he made a fool of himself.
Ray was wondering how Ashley was going to follow a man named Boris.
(You're a man who seems to have both one and two habits. If Mr. Randall's the chosen member, I don't think he's an illegal guy like Theron, but how is Ash going to be able to follow this guy?
Four new men and women came into that room as Ray remembered Theron as an adventurer in the city of Morton and connected to the back society.
A slurring female adventurer in her mid-twenties bows her head gently toward Aldo and Boris.
"Are we the last? Mr. Aldo and Mr. Boris, you kept me waiting."
With that said, when we find the three Rays,
"You look unfamiliar. I'm Hazel. Grade V healer. Nice to meet you."
He greets me with a light feel, but the three gazes were nailed to the young brunette adventurer behind them.
Ashley said, "It's Ashley. Fifth grade," he replies, but his voice was shaking a little.
(It's that woman in the morning. Why here...)
Stella is just as surprised as Ashley is, but soon becomes more alert.
(Why... I still didn't take this request. I have a feeling it's dangerous...)
Ray looks familiar to a brunette, but can't remember where he met her. And the confusion of memory was attacking him.
(I wonder who. There have been. That was a long time ago too...... where is it? It's not the city of Morton, is it? It was more like a long time ago......)
When Ashley returned to me, introducing Stella and Ray, Hazel was beginning to introduce the three people behind her.
Ashley can't take her eyes off Luna as she listens to Hazel.
(There must have been three thousand adventurers in Periclitle. Is that such a coincidence...... a coincidence? Isn't this inevitable? ……
Ashley begins to think that this encounter was structured.
(If the presence Ray calls herself ”The One Who Called Himself" called her, what can I do... I protect Ray. If this were inevitable, we would have met even if we had left the city. If……)
She braces her belly that even if the other person has tremendous power, she has no choice but to do what she can.
(... I don't care if they're gods or demons. Even if you don't fight me, I'll protect Ray. Even if Ray was manipulated by that “being"... at least I appreciate that “being”. Because you let me meet Ray... but if Ray is going against that existence, I will follow him. Yes, I'm with Ray no matter what!
Hazel's introduction continued in the meantime.
"... the cat beast is a fan, the red-haired bastard in the back is Ryan, and the brunette is Luna."
A young red-haired man called Ryan, who still remains young, shouts, "There will be no big boy," but he was not heard at all by the Rays' ears.
All Ray could see were the two behind Hazel, redhead Ryan and brunette Luna.
(Luna, Ryan... Luna... Nest of the Rough Eagle... Thysek Village... No, something hooks me up, but I can't remember. But the important thing...)
Stella noticed that Ray was shuddering and she said, "Master Ray, are you okay?," he said.
He returns to me in those words and says, "Oh, I'm fine," but I can't take my eyes off a brunette adventurer called Luna.
(Though I think I'll be able to remember it in a little while... see you later. I guess this is also the work of the guy who called me into this world. What am I supposed to do, I...)
When Stella tried to speak up again, Randall came in from the entrance shouting, "Looks like we're all here".
When everyone sits in their chairs, Randall starts talking.
"There's nothing else you've got me together. It's a face-to-face meeting from tomorrow. This request is a direct request from HQ. You got the request. You're under my command. You understand that much."
I'm going to look around at them all and see. Everyone, the nodding that was in each personality, but Randall, who confirmed that they all agreed, goes on to talk.
"As you know, this time the destination is the village of Thysek. Now it's an abandoned village, but at the time of the great invasion eighteen years ago, there were orcs and orgasms gathering around that village. Plus, it was raided eight years ago. As a guild, I decided to investigate the area because I don't know if there might be anything else this time."
When everyone nods, we go further.
"The journey is three days each way. The road into Thysek is quite rough. Until Thornblow on Als Avenue. So far, we don't have any information on demons. From there, take a day to get to Tisek, but the crusade around there hasn't progressed much..."
His explanation goes south from Periclitle down Ars Avenue to Thornbrough, about eighty-five km away, in two days. Thornbrough has become the gateway to the former village of Thysek, but since Thysek became an abandoned village eight years ago, there has been no crowd and the road has been rough.
Randall saw Luna at the end,
"... this time it is the survival of the village of Thysek, Luna, I count on you. Things will be changing around the village, but just give him as much information as you can remember."
Luna gave a slightly sad look for a moment, but immediately nodded with a strange face.
"This time, Ashley, you do it."
As Ashley tries to snort, Boris speaks up.
"Wait! It's usually me, isn't it? It would be strange for the fifth level to stick their heads up."
Randall sends Boris a sharp glance. Boris blinks at the force for a moment, but doesn't show the bare gesture to pull.
"Ashley is level five, but level 44. The higher level than Ashley in this is forty-five of Stella. Stella's admitting to Ashley. That's not what you say about level 37."
"It would be strange. That's mercenary reason. We adventurers don't just fight."
And point to your own head,
"You're not just going into mercenaries! Use your head, my head! You know that, Mr. Randall!
Randall stood up to Boris' protest, looking down at him,
"Boris, if you get thirty killer bees (killer hornets) out with your head (...), can you get away with it? These three guys defeated twenty-five killer hornets while protecting the merchant squad. Can you do that?
Boris argues without being frightened of it either.
"Don't be silly. It's probably the guy's job to keep his head up so he doesn't end up in that situation."
"Then what if I get into a situation where I say so? Wait for it to be wiped out, you?
Randall continues his words before Boris answers.
"You know what's going on here? The ones who could've done it before, they'd stick us in the dark clouds if they saw us. How do we get past enemies like that? How many people do you think have been hit in the last few days?
You can't pull anymore, you said something, "But..." But Randall goes after him.
"If you don't want to, you can stop me. But if you work with these guys, it's bound to be your plus."
Boris loses the word to return and sees his own people. They were nodding like telling them to pull. I noticed that, Boris said, "Okay. Mr. Randall," he admitted reluctantly that Ashley would be the leader.
Randall looks around at the other members and confirms, "Say it now if you have any objections," but everyone was shaking their heads sideways to tell them there was no objection.
Randall stops the intimidation he was putting out and starts talking as he looks around everyone.
"I chose the members for this one straight away. The reason is not strength. I chose it with high adaptability."
Everyone is leaning their necks against the words.
"This is my idea, but this whole series of things has never been easy to solve before. So I think I've chosen someone who has the same sense of smell as me, who can feel the danger on his skin, and who can be connected next."
And look around at them all again,
"This mission will probably just look into the precursors to big things happening. The real thing will happen ahead. So don't let them all die in vain, come back alive!
That's all Randall said, "Ashley, I'll leave you to it," and took a seat.
Without feeling left, Ashley bowed her head to everyone, "Please," and immediately went into practical talk.
While Ray watched that series of events, he also watched Luna flicker.
(I can't remember... I feel like if I go to the village of Thysek I'll know something...)
Meanwhile, Luna was surprised that the three Rays were those famous Mercenaries (Red Arms).
(Much younger than I thought. Mr. Ashley may be as old as Hazel, but the other two aren't as good as me. That's level forty-five... those guys were awesome... but the world is huge...)
She was remembering someone who helped herself and worked out even more as an adventurer.
(I wonder what that guy is doing now...)
Second, when I look at Ray, my gaze staggers.
(Flirting from earlier on. Looking at me, what are you going to do? Even when you're partying with two of those beauties, are you still going to use your eyes on other women?
In about an hour, the meeting was over about what was requested, and everyone was just about to go home.
"I want to make sure everyone has the skills. Can you make arrangements at the guild's training ground?"
Ashley's word set me off to the guild's training ground. There is no joint training ground at the General Headquarters, so head to the West Branch.
When you enter the training ground in about fifteen minutes, it starts with us. So Ashley, Ray and Stella go on a mock fight.
Aldo, who sees it, groans, "All three strong," but all the other members, had lost their words.
And Ray, instructed by Ashley, performs the magic.
Showing a crossbow of good light and a whirlwind blade of wind attributes raises a sensational voice.
Luna saw the sight and was surprised.
(Use really awesome magic. This guy is (...) a genius, too. For that, I'm a woman lover and she seems to be light...)
She mistakenly thought she was coming to herself with color eyes and thought she was a woman about Ray.
He then presents Aldo's party, Boris' party, Hazel's party and sword and bow arms.
Ashley looked satisfied with the look on his face, but in his mind he was thinking of something else.
(You can use it one by one. Aldo and Boris are in the veteran class, and the others have managed to serve one person. It also helps to have four healers, including Ray. Now I can turn Ray into an attack without worries. How much can we work together later, but maybe we should run it party-by-party...)
And in this it will be the turn of young Ryan and Luna.
Ryan is a Harvard user left to his strength, and his skill is comparable to Ashley's.
(Gaps everywhere, but that offensive power is fascinating. It would be a good place to stab a big demon stop. But it's hard to see if you'll make it this time)
And finally, check Luna's skill.
She holds an up-and-down unbalanced long bow in her hand and stares at the arrow in a different way than a normal long bow. And then, after I got my breath done, I pulled my bow incredibly wide and let go of my arrows all at once.
The arrow pierces the middle of the target with a sharp arrow-cutting sound.
(She doesn't like it, but she has good arms. I've never seen that bow before, but where was it born?
Ray looked at what Luna had done,
(I knew it was the bow. How can there be a Japanese bow in this world? Could it have anything to do with my novel? Something hooks me up, but I get a headache trying to remember...)
He was shaking his head, holding down his temples.
Ashley then crosses swords with the avant-garde swordsmiths.
He and Stella had a simulated battle for multiple people.
(That's a good defense. This would be a lot of fighting power if we could work with the archers. The question is, can you work with us? Whatever you say, the biggest force is Ray. If I can successfully use Ray's magic, I can handle more than one demon of the 3rd degree...)
Ashley confirmed his allies' abilities as he pondered his supposed enemies.
Boris was still unconvinced, though surprised by the skill of Ashley and the three others.
(I do have arms. Not a bad combination of Ashley's Rigid Sword, Ray's Magic, and Stella's Speed. But Ashley is younger than our Frank. I don't like coming under such a woman's command... if you mean to come back alive, it is decided that an adventurer should be head over mercenary. What does Randall's father think?
Ray had been questioned by Aldo's party mage, Ginny.
"You're amazing. I've never seen such magic before. The college is out, isn't it? Who did you learn that from?
Ray shook his head sideways,
"I have amnesia. I don't remember more than seven months ago. I don't even know where I learned magic."
To that word Ginny loses the word "amnesia..."
"Yeah, I didn't even remember the spell at first. Lax's court magician taught me to use it somewhat."
Ginny listened to the story,
"I'll teach you a spell if you have time. Because I can use wind and water. I know a lot about wind spells."
With that said, she wondered if she could turn Ray into something in her heart.
(You're really talented. You said you could use light and wind, and healing magic, so you could use wood attributes, too. I'm not dissatisfied with the party right now, but should we go to him? Beginning "Ubu" Yes, and I wonder if I can drop it well...)
I notice Stella's gaze as she smiles slightly worse than he can see.
(Oh, has she noticed? But I'm not going to take it and eat it, so you don't have to stare so much... or are you in love with him? That sounds interesting though)
Confirmation of the collaboration and such was made for about an hour and disbanded in one word by Ashley, who said, "Meet me at the South Gate tomorrow at 8 a.m."
