Trinitas Mundus - The Story of Saint Knight Ray
Lesson XVI: Rules and Strategies
Ray and Ashley, both headed to the Adventurer Guild branch manager's office, were each silently walking behind the Solow branch manager.
Ashley remembered her inner wrath for Ray's duel with Cylon.
(What's Ray thinking? Sure, I'm sick. But there must still be a better chance that I can win... if I don't know the rules! You think a guy who thinks like rules and competition (play) can beat Theron... is growing by knocking down Hydra?... If so, if you never stop, Ray's life is in danger...)
Ray, on the other hand, was the best because he hides his inner anxiety as well.
(I said I wasn't sure Ashley could win. That is definitely stronger than me. I don't know the rules, so I don't even know if we're going to kill each other or if it's an extension of a mock fight... I know it's sooner, but if I hadn't spoken out there, Ashley would have taken it and stood. That could have given her weird terms when she lost, “be your own woman” or something.... but can you win? Can you fight “humans” in the first place, I...)
When the two entered the Branch Manager's office, the Branch Manager began to speak with a flashing look.
"I didn't think you'd get a duel. Ray, you wouldn't understand. what I received."
He sees the look on the Branch Manager's face and realizes that the gravity of the matter is more than he thought.
"Yes... but first I want you to tell me the rules of the duel..."
The description of the Solow Branch Manager was concise.
If there was no particular decision, it was “anything” and when it came to being decided, it was about placing a person in the presence and “trying” not to kill the other person.
It is also possible to have a proxy, but this time this cannot be used because Theron has declared it to be "between themselves”.
He follows that explanation and his face turns pale.
(It's awkward... even if you say "effort” not to kill him, he should come willing to kill you. I've never even had a fight before... and I could die. No, it kills me... it definitely kills me...)
He still regretted his own frivolous judgment.
He has a hunch of his own death and begins to rattle and tremble.
And I asked the branch manager if there was any way to stop, "Can we cancel the duel?" but confirm that
"There is no way to stop it. If you escape, you will automatically admit to losing. Then you'd better admit you lost when the duel starts."
If you escape a duel, you don't just admit to losing, and the rumor spreads quickly. I won't be able to live as an adventurer or a mercenary unless I even escape to a fairly distant town. It also makes it harder for people to live, branded cowards, even if they have taken on other professions.
Ray was desperately turning his mind around.
(Do you have to... think about it... because it's true if you're called a coward. But if he escapes, Ashley will only challenge him to Theron... think again about the terms he said. What I was saying was that within ten days, he used his weapon against each other. I can decide where to stand, who to stand, and what the terms of victory or defeat are. Think about your advantages, his disadvantages. There must be some chance......)
Ashley watched Ray rattle and tremble.
(Again. I still didn't know... what to do. It's only ten days at most now. His skill improvement rate is unusual, but he can't beat that Theron in just ten days. What to do, Ray...)
As she thinks about it, looking at him, his tremors gradually take hold and gradually seem to be regaining calm.
In his heart, he was trying to turn words into something close to him, to dare lose his sense of reality and to force him to remain calm.
(This is what the game calls an “event”. There must always be a way to clear it. First, let's see if there are any blind spots)
He turned to Ashley and Solow Branch Manager,
"I'd like to confirm that the use of magic is not a problem, is it?
"Oh, there's no problem. But one-on-one. Don't wait till you're done chanting the spell."
"Yeah, I know. And I can decide where, right? Is it okay anywhere?
"No problem anywhere. However, it is not acceptable to say very far away or clearly unusual places, such as fighting on a boat on a lake."
"Finally, can anyone present? Like, qualified?
"There is no particular provision, but not within the body or interested parties. Normally, people in a fair position are nominated. Well, it's the mercenary guild."
He heard that far and began to put his thoughts together.
(Let's think about the place where magic is the best place to live, specifically later. The witness seems to be the mercenary guild's Cutler Branch Manager. No outsiders allowed... the date and time is ten days later... once I came up with something that looked like an operation. And then we need to see how much magic endures practicality...)
He asks the Branch Manager to confirm his current thoughts.
"The witness is going to ask the Cutler Branch Manager. The dates will be after confirming the branch manager's plans, but I would like to make it off-limits for both parties and non-attendees at the latest possible time. I'll follow up with the location, so what do you say?
"I don't mind, but why is there a ban on entry other than for both parties and the attendees? Normally, there are a lot of spectators."
"I'm nervous and I don't trust Cylon. Think of it as a way to prevent a spectator with Theron's intentions from doing something."
"I'm sorry, but I don't think he's ever done that to you."
"You probably won't. But if you say this, it should be hard to get your hands on for the next ten days. I'm going to tell him I'm going to declare him a disobedient loser on the spot."
"I see. That's fine. Tell Aaron."
And he, accompanied by Ashley, left the guild.
Ashley realized that he had regained his composure and
"Do we have a chance? Can I help you with anything? Say anything."
He acts like he can afford it, including his strengths to keep Ashley from getting anxious.
"Yeah, for once, I figured out my hands, but the key is how far I'll be able to go in the next ten days. I want to go home to the inn like this today and get tired of yesterday. I even gave you your stuff back."
They went back to their own inn, the Silver Bell Pavilion.
Returning to Silver Bell Pavilion, Bianca, a damsel, rushed over as she held her two-year-old daughter Allie.
He said, "Are you okay?" He said he fought some amazing demons! It's okay now!
Ashley laughed bitterly at the momentum.
"I'm fine. He's been treated for Estelle, and then he just needs to rest his body slowly."
Hearing that, Bianca finally gets a ho look as well.
Ray stopped by Ashley's room once to give him his stuff.
He takes her stuff out of the item box and leaves it on the floor.
She saw how it was,
"But that's really convenient magic. How much do you want in there, there?
"Come on? 'Cause I've never put a cup in before. I still feel like I'm going in."
Here Ashley tightens her expression and turns back to Ray.
"I want to hear it again. Do you have a chance? If Ray runs away, I'll go with him. I don't want to see you die..."
He also responds with a serious look to that serious look.
"To be honest, I still can't say anything. But I'm not running away."
That's what he said.
(I'm really scared. Death or injury... I would have definitely escaped when I was in Japan. But I don't want Ashley to look any more pathetic. If I could win...... to Ashley...... no now is not the time to think about that)
You felt the grid in his heart,
"Ray, don't push it. When I try to do more than my strength, I find myself somewhere.“ As long as you live, you can always take it back. Think of survival. ", This is what my father, a mercenary from the war, used to say. Keep it in mind."
Ray followed her room and when she returned to her room, mental fatigue struck with yesterday's fatigue and Theron's accusations this morning, followed by a dueling noise.
(I'm tired... I'm talking about rain starting at noon, so think magically while resting your body...)
After lunch, Ray returned to the room again, thinking about Theron as he fell asleep in bed with the sound of rain knocking on the wooden window to the BGM.
(You're a speed fighter using the song knife Simiter and the little shield Buckler... Ashley's story is that he's good at dodging and almost avoids overwhelming attacks. Buckler uses it just to get out of orbit, poking at that gap and slashing the thin part of his defense with a precise spotter... I don't get an image if he says something like that. Overwhelmingly little experience in action is my biggest weakness... think about surviving... surviving? survive, not win...... well......)
He thinks of Theron with a simmer in image training, but never even saw a fight in a simmer. He had no image at all.
But Ashley's words tip me, change my mind, and come up with something. And I was going to try it with training from tomorrow.
I also thought about magic.
(Can't you magically ambush right after the start and disable it... the distance wouldn't be so far apart, though right after the start. When that happens, you should think you have little time to accumulate the power of the Spirit. Drop your physical aggression and think of another way... maybe this can be used...)
He tried the magic he came up with in the room. For once, it seemed usable, but I practiced it just before the magic ran out in order to be able to use it in action.
(Phew. You're going to figure it out. All you have to do is tell me where to find the place...... it would be best if the Mercenary Guild training ground could be quarantined, but if you can't, I'll have to ask the Baron to let me use the Guard training ground)
Ashley was also lying in bed listening to the sound of pounding the rain tree window that began to fall.
Though the poison fell out, for her, who was drained of strength and always strong, she was feeling pretty blocked and in negative thoughts.
(This is the first time I've been out on the battlefield so far in XV. Yesterday, even though I was embedded in Theron, I had abandoned the idea of surviving. Not the words of the captain (Father) who told Ray, but yesterday's failure, letting Ray handle the battle with Hydra, and letting him carry himself to the city, is shameful. If I had ever, I would have thought about surviving for both of us. What's going on, I... No, think about what's going to happen. Is the duel between Ray and Theron inevitable? If I can't, what can I do to help Ray survive... No. I can't think of... because I don't have the energy, or because I think about him...)
She was not the usual sober mercenary, but a very ordinary woman, who also became a woman worried about her thinkers.
I don't know if it was because I was in the world of a man named Mercenary, or because I was long under an asylum named Captain = Father, but although she has experienced a first love similar to her longing, despite her age of twenty-three, she was rarely aware of the ”woman” within herself.
(Your obsession with Cylon is between you and me. Ray was just involved because I was with him. Protect him at all costs. To this end……)
She thinks with a tired head, but her thoughts roam in grandeur with glue, and in the end, she stays depressed until dinner, and she couldn't think of anything.
The two have dinner together, but Ray thinks about tomorrow, and Ashley thinks about him, so there's no conversation.
Although the worried Bianca teases the two as usual, there was no initial reaction as usual. Bianca worried unnecessarily, but could not find the words to hang, and the two went back to the room, with their respective thoughts in their chests.
